Passie (Dutch for passion) is an editorial from the 'Mode, dit is Belgisch' spring 1985 issue. The editorial, shown in the pictures, was photographed by Karel Fonteyne. The young Martin Margiela styled the shoot with three different white wedding dresses. The white wedding dress symbolized the new start, good intentions & desire in the relationship.

'Mode, dit is Belgisch, was a magazine which was curated for & by Belgian fashion designers. The spring 1985 issue was mostly focussed on the fashion students who participated in that years 'Gouden Spoel' competition. Focus on a particular model of Jean-Paul Gaultier’s S/S /1992 collection. So reposting the La Libertine edit picture with Veronica Webb shot by Karel Fonteyne for Marie-Claire and adding a picture of the same model worn by American supermodel Elaine Irwin in an editorial published in Elle US on February 1992, I just loved that issue and that Gaultier piece somehow linked me to home while a foreign exchange student in Wichita, Kansas...
