Rä di Martino (Rome, 1975) studied at Chelsea College of Art and Slade School of Art in London, she has lived in New York, from 2005 to 2010, and she now lives and works in Rome. Her work has been shown in many institutions like Tate Modern (London); MoMA PS1 (NY); Palazzo Grassi (Venice); GAM and Fondazione Sandretto (Turin); MACRO and MAXXI (Rome); Museion (Bolzano); MCA (Chicago); Magasin (Grenoble); PAC and HangarBicocca (Milan). She has participated to a large number of film festivals like Locarno Film Festival; VIPER Basel; Transmediale.04; New York Underground Film Festival; Kasseler Dokfest; Torino Film Festival and Venice Film Festival, where she won, in 2014, the SIAE Award and Gillo Pontecorvo Award and a Nastro d’Argento with the medium length documentary The Show MAS Go On (2014). Her first feature film Controfigura (2017) was premiered at Venice Film Festival. In 2018 she has developed the project AFTERALL with the MIBAC Italian Council Award. She won the first edition of the Lio Capital Art Prize (Milan, 2020) with L'eccezione (2019), commissioned by Museo Novecento (Florence). In 2021 she filmed a documentary for ARTE, Il giardino che non c'è (inspired by Il giardino dei Finzi-Contini) and a documentary film about the history of Teatro di Pontedera (Fuori dai teatri). In 2022 opens her solo exhibition at Forte Belvedere in Florence and a solo show in collaboration with the Carmelo Bene archive.

49 Problems (and my future is one) - NEW TRAILER by Maxi Buck Release-Trailer zu meinem diesen Herbst und Winter in Kinos kommenden Dokumentarfilm "49 Problems (and my future is one)" Premiere, 20.11.2022, 15:30 Uhr, Gloria Kino - Dokfest Kassel um auf dem Laufenden zu bleiben: https://ift.tt/l3mZJ2H Synopsis Der Dokumentarfilm "49 Problems (and my future is one)" zeigt die Geschichte um die inhaftierte Klimaaktivistin "Ella" und begleitet die Proteste gegen die Bundesautobahn "A49" über ein Jahr. Es ist der 26.11.2020. Auf der von Aktivist*innen besetzten Autobahn-Trasse, welche bei Stadtallendorf durch den Dannenröder Wald führen soll, soll Ella von dem SEK-Beamten mit der Kennziffer "K214" von einem Baum geholt werden. Ihr wird vorgeworfen K214 in 15 Metern Höhe ins Gesicht getreten zu haben. Ella ist ihr Waldname. Ihre bürgerliche Identität verweigert sie anzugeben. Die nächsten Monate bis zum Gerichtsprozess wird sie in Untersuchungshaft verbringen. Währenddessen frisst sich die A49 weiter durch den Dannenröder Wald und umliegende Trinkwasserschutzgebiete. Im Gleental sollen Brückenpfeiler 30 Meter tief in die Wasserschutzzone gegraben werden. Die Bauarbeiten werden von Aktivist*innen blockiert, später gelingt es sogar einen Baustopp für dieses Gebiet zu erzielen. Doch wie soll es möglich sein eine Autobahn, die von der Mehrheit gewollt ist, langfristig aufzuhalten? Zwischen Desillusionierung und Entschlossenheit haben Anja, Christiane und Claudia eine Entscheidung getroffen: „Wir haben schon lange genug gehofft. Wir bleiben dran.“ Sie gehören zu den engen Bezugspersonen Ellas und begleiten sie durch die Zeit im Gefängnis und ihren Gerichtsprozess. In der Frankfurter JVA darf sie nur 1x monatlich besucht werden. Nach 210 Tagen in Untersuchungshaft wird Ella zu einer Haftstrafe von über 2 Jahren verurteilt. Während Ella, Anja, Christiane und Claudia am Boden zerstört sind, beginnt hinter den Kulissen die Vorbereitung für den großen Berufungsprozess - Runde 2 für Ella am Landgericht Giessen. „49 Problems“ zeigt den Bau einer Autobahn inmitten der Klimakrise und lädt Zuschauer*innen zur Beobachtung der weitreichenden Folgen bis hin in den Gerichtssaal ein. Ausgabe lädt das Kasseler Dokumentarfilm- und Videofest vom 13. bis 18. November 2018 mit einem abwechslungsreichen Programm ein: das Festival widmet sich sowohl dem regionalen Filmgeschehen als auch dem nationalen und internationalen dokumentarischen Schaffen in all seinen Variationen. Bandbreite der Mediums Film Es werden rund 250 aktuelle dokumentarische und künstlerisch-experimentelle Lang- und Kurzfilme gezeigt, Medieninstallationen in der Ausstellung Monitoring präsentiert und Audiovisuelle Performances und VJ-Sets in der DokfestLounge aufgeführt. Angebot für den Nachwuchs Außerdem nimmt das Festival aktuelle Themen der Netzkultur unter die Lupe, lädt zu spannenden Diskussionen über Film und Kunst und bietet ambitionierten Nachwuchsfilmemacher/innen praxisbezogene Veranstaltungen und Möglichkeiten zum Netzwerken. Tanita Olbrich, *1990 in Berlin is a filmmaker. Fine Art Studies at HFBK with Angela Schanelec and Jeanne Faust, as well as at the San Francisco Art Institute. Her film Kajsa Athena was first shown at Kasseler Dokfest and nominated for the HISCOX Art Prize.

Director José Pablo returns to Mexico to fulfill his promise to his 95-year-old grandmother: to shoot a film about her life. An extravagant former beauty queen, Mamacita (María del Carmen Torrescano) established an empire of beauty and self-healing products and psychotherapy clinics for women in Mexico. But as José Pablo quickly discovers, all her efforts to help others could not heal the deep and dark wounds hidden within her own family. Sheltering behind the protective walls of her self-made kingdom, Mamacita surrounds herself with loyal servants: a gardener, chauffeur, chef, housekeeper and nurse, all who attend to her every need—but perhaps this is instead a self-made prison. With archival footage and interviews with his aunts and Mamacita herself, José Pablo begins to uncover the truth behind his grandmother’s questionable past, and must now face his own haunted history of growing up inside an of illusion of familial love. Magdalena von Rudy "AIR (BSP)" 4K Video, 2014/2018, 6:00 Min. AIR (Bubble Sculpture Performance) zeigt eine Video-Tanzperformance in einem Ballonanzug. Die ekstatisch-exzessive Darbietung wird durch das Volumen der Ballons behindert. Durch das Ringen mit der Materie wird die Bewegung auf ihre Ursprünglichkeit zurückgeführt – und der Tanz erhält einen rituellen, tranceähnlichen Charakter. Weder folgt der Tanz einer Choreografie, noch gibt es einstudierte Gesten. Alles ist Improvisation. In manchen Einstellungen "kämpft" die Performerin mit dem Ballonanzug und wirkt wie ein Tier, das verfolgt wird. In anderen Momenten erscheint sie wie ein ostasiatischer Krieger oder ein Godzilla-ähnliches Monster. Die Soundebene wird durch einen Herzschlag eingeleitet, der aus dem Inneren des Körpers zu kommen scheint. Im weiteren Verlauf entwickelt sich ein Soundcluster aus Samples, Instrumenten- und Stimmaufnahmen. Rhythmen, Soundartefakte, Alltagsgeräusche werden zu einem komplexen Gefüge verwoben. Die Bewegungen der Performerin dienen als Partitur für die Soundkomposition. 31 décembre 2003. Poussée par un puissant instinct de survie et de liberté, Lucie décide d’écrire une lettre à l’homme qui a abusé d’elle de l’âge de 8 ans à 12 ans. Après quoi elle prend sa caméra, son char et se résout à lui porter cette lettre en main propre, où qu’il soit. But : redonner à son agresseur la honte et la douleur subies à tort pendant toutes ces années.

December the 31th, 2003. Driven by a powerful instinct for survival and freedom, Lucie decides to write a letter to the man who abused her from the age of 8 to 12 years old. She then takes her camera, her car and resolves herself to bring him this letter in person, wherever he may be. Purpose: give back to her aggressor the shame and pain she withheld wrongly for all theses years.
