Severely wounded and disfigured by a shrapnel wound, he is taken care of in France for physical reconstruction, while the documentary explores his inner rebuilding. Through dreamlike scenes inspired by Francis Bacon and William Blake, we delve into the torments and resilience of Volodymyr, who struggles to preserve his identity and humanity despite the horrors of the conflict. This film is a poetic meditation on human dignity and tenacity in the face of the ravages of war.
