are you an artist who wants to get away from big site-builders like squarespace & have a place to put your work that isn't social media? i threw together a super basic portfolio code template you can use to make your own website!

it should be easy enough to customize if you have a basic understanding of what html and css are. features include:

responsive to fit on different screen sizes

fairly compact — less than 300 lines of css, and you never have to look at anything after line 30 if you don't want to

customizable fonts, colors, image sizes, and decorations right at the top of the css

image gallery with a lightbox function (clicking an image to make it bigger)

free to customize to your heart's content!

added a lil ocs page to my website!! there's a couple characters up there right now & i'll be slowly adding more whenever i get a chance!

next version of my website is set to be the most self-indulgent one yet. doing just so many overly complicated things that only i actually care about and having fun with it!

highlights from these pages: the whimsy zine page picks random colors for each zine page + each text element on load (from a select palette so it'll still be readable and etc). the deck of spirits page is formatted so all the text bits are laid out like cards, and the card previews are overlapping (as shown) but if you hover over one it'll come to the front of the pile. the haunts page i'm mostly just really pleased with how i replicated the title styling in css instead of just using an image for the title

hiii i love your neocities site so much that i was inspired to try and start my own! yours looks so cool and well done, do you have any tips for learning html/embedding things like spotify widgets and scrapbook-y things?

aw thank you!! the spotify widgets are super easy - just go into your spotify app on your computer, right click a playlist, and go to share > embed playlist > copy code, and then you paste that wherever you want the playlist to go. for learning html, i've got a bunch of resources linked in this blog post on my site! let me know if there's anything specific you'd like help with, and i'd be happy to scrounge up some more specific resources!
