Drunk & Disorderly (Kelly Severide x Reader)

Synopsis: Your alcoholic father shows up at the firehouse, persistent on making amends.

Warnings: Mentions of alcohol abuse, mentions of throwing up, violence, swearing, drunk driving, Kelly being protective AF <3.

Word Count: 4k

“Shay, we are never drinking that much the night before a shift again” you groaned, throwing your head back in exasperation.

“Oh cmon, Y/N, we can handle a lil hangover” she joked with you. “Besides, wasn’t that drinking game fun?” She asked you the question in a suggestive tone, wiggling her eyebrows in the process.

“I’m not sure, I can’t exactly remember last night’s events too well” you giggled, trying to rack your brain for a hint as to how the night played out.

“Well what I remember extremely vividly is you and Severide not being able to stop flirting with each other.” Shay said this without taking her eyes off of the road, but you knew she wasn’t as annoyed as she was making herself out to be. She loved the idea of the 2 people she loved the most getting together.

“I can’t confirm or deny my actions or the events that occurred last night” you led in a serious note, trying to cover up your high-school-like crush on Severide in a playful manner.

“Oh just fuck him already, Y/N! Blame it on the alcohol!” Shay encouraged, using her hands to help communicate the message. “I know you like him, and who’s to say he doesn’t want you. You’re a hot piece of ass!” she questioned.

You chuckled at her flirtatious comment. “I’m not sure Shay, you would know the most given the fact that you live with him, wouldn’t you? Has he said anything to you??” You questioned, suddenly becoming very invested in the conversation and her response. You had made comments to Shay about how hot Severide is, but you’ve never fully expressed your interest in him.

“My lawyer says no further comment” Shay responds, zipping the imaginary zipper on her lips and throwing the key.

“Oh cmon, Shay!! Help a girl out” you moaned in defeat, knowing that what the 2 roommates discuss is not for you to know.

Shay was actually the person who got you and Kelly close to begin with. Being that you and her were ambulance partners, you went over to their place a lot, so you see him just as much as you see her (pretty often).

“He may or may not have said some things about you, but that’s all I can say!” Shay spat out the sentence, picking up the speed as it went on, as if the faster she said it the less of a chance Kelly was to find out.

“Oh this conversation isn’t over" you responded, pointing your finger. You weren’t ready to drop the topic anytime soon, but you were back at the firehouse.

Before you could pester her with more interrogations, you saw a figure as she was pulling into 51.

“Who is that? He’s standing in the middle of the ambulance bay!” Shay exclaimed, confused that her driveway was being blocked.

You squinted your eyes, confident that they were playing tricks on you based on who you were registering to be there. Once Shay had driven as close as she could without running them over, you knew without a doubt who the person standing before you was.

“My dad” you spat angrily, upset that this was your current reality; that a member of your toxic family had followed you to the one good thing in your life.

You were both frozen in the ambulance; you, unsure how to avoid conversation with your father, and Shay confused as to how she can help you.

You got out of the ambulance and began making your way inside, pretending that your dad was an invisible man and that his presence had no effect on you. Shay followed suit.

When you walked past him you heard him scoff, and he threw his hands up in the air, resembling confusion.

“You’re just gonna walk past me. No ‘Hi dad, how are you. Long time no see.’” You couldn’t believe what you just heard, but once you partially processed it, you decided that this was indeed your battle to pick today.

You had moved to Chicago from Toronto after applying to the academy, deciding that between your narcissistic and emotional abusive mother, and your alcoholic dad, it was time to leave: not to run away, but to survive.

Your older brother is a firefighter in Toronto, and you easily could’ve gotten you a job at his firehouse, but you had always loved Chicago and decided to bite the bullet. It was time for a change.

“You have some nerve.” Slowly turning around to face him, you tried to keep yourself from seeing red. He didn’t deserve to know he got a reaction from you. “…Showing up at my place of work unexpectedly, and expecting me to give you the time of day.”

“I just want to talk, Y/N.” You started hysterically laughing once you heard what he had said, the anger presenting itself through laughter. Your father was confused as to why you were reacting this way, and quite frankly, so was Shay. She had never seen you so upset.

“Get out of my firehouse. You don’t deserve to be here” you pointed towards the street, urging him to get out of your sight.

“Y/N just hear me out. I know I don’t deserve it but it’s been so long and I just want to be a part of your life again. Things are different now.” He scratched the back of his neck, a hint of nervousness evident.

You could hear the sounds of squad and truck rumbling down the street from afar, and you knew that you needed your dad to leave before the entire house got back.

“Yeah things sure as hell are different, I left before I literally suffocated in that house, and you couldn’t give a rats ass where I ended up. Until apparently today, a random Saturday morning 2 YEARS after I spoke to you last. I want you to leave, NOW. And don’t make me escalate this situation.” You were sick of people walking all over you- blood-related or not, and you weren’t going to have any of this. Especially not in front of your 51 family.

By the time you finished your spiel, truck and squad were both parked and beginning to filter out, undressing from their turnover gear.

Severide hopped out, pulling his turnover gear down to his waist. He was wearing his lieutenant shirt with suspenders, and his squad 3 baseball cap. He would take quick glances over to you, not wanting to make it obvious that he was eavesdropping.

“I’m not going anywhere until you decide to give me another chance. Until you let me make things up to you” he pleaded, reeking of desperation.

At this point, people’s attentions were getting grabbed, and heads were turning over to observe the interaction.

“I gave you 1 too many chances, and I’m done. I’m not too sure how you didn’t get the hint that I want nothing to do with you when I moved countries, but I’m now verbally letting you know that this relationship is over.”

At this point, a few members of 51 had filtered into the lounge, knowing that they probably weren’t meant to hear what was going down. Others took their sweet time getting undressed, most likely because they were trying to keep an eye on you.

Severide continued to tune into the conversation, always having an urge to protect you against harm’s way. He didn’t know much about the situation given that you kept your past very secretive, but recognizing what an abusive father is like, he stood near.

“Cmon, Y/N, you’ve always been so damn stubborn. Do you really need to act like this when I’m trying to prove to you I can be better?” Your dad was genuinely curious as to how you could be so cutthroat towards him, as if his drinking didn’t ruin the first 2 decades of your life.

Shay shot Severide a look that read ‘what do we do?’.

“I don’t think you need to prove anything to her. It’s pretty clear you’re not a part of her life and that she wants it to stay that way.” You didn’t expect to hear Kelly’s voice from behind you all of a sudden. “Kel, it’s okay. I got this.” You felt a mix between wanting him to stand up for you, and proving that you can fight your own battles. He stepped closer towards you, and Shay took a couple of steps back, knowing you had even extra protection now.

“And who are you?” your father asked, not breaking eye contact with you. His hands were placed on his hips, and by his body language, it was evident that he was not leaving without a fight.

“Lieutenant Severide of 51, and respectfully, I’m asking you to leave my firehouse” Severide stated in a calm but straightforward manner. He crossed his arms and waited intently.

Your dad chuckled in what seemed to be astonishment. “Sleeping your way to the top, very typical of you Y/N. I thought you would’ve changed your ways by now” your dad scoffed.

You were beyond pissed off that he was even here right now, but that comment officially made your blood boil. Thinking about what you could possibly say in response, your dad decided to speak up once again.

“Let me ask you, how long have you been fucking my daughter, lieutenant?” He said the last word as if it was dirty.

Kelly stepped right up to your father as if he had no fears in the world, something you wish you could’ve warned him about before doing. You were grateful your dad appeared to be sober, because if he had come inebriated, a brawl would’ve already broke out between them.

“Y/N has been nothing but a talented paramedic with a great amount of expertise in her field. She‘s proven time and time again that she’s a necessary addition to this team, and deserves to be here- she did that all by herself, no thanks to you. Now get out of my firehouse before the chief gets back and this gets worse for you.”

You were absolutely blown away by Severide’s words, unaware of his thoughts regarding your time at 51. He managed to respond to your father’s comment in a professional yet serious way, and he did it with ease, appearing completely unbothered with confrontation. He was still face to face with your father, not ready to back down for nothing and no one.

“Whatever.” Your dad hadn’t let Kelly escape his gaze for even a millisecond. “I came here as part of my 12 steps anyways. Step 9: Make amends” your dad said with a smirk.

Despite not wanting to hear your father out for anything he had to say, the fact that he was here for his benefit, and not out of sincerity, was your final straw.

It took you a second to even fathom the possibility that he came here for selfish reasons, but once you did, you couldn’t stop yourself.

You lunged at him and began unleashing. “FUCK YOU, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!” Now you seriously only saw red. While you were attempting to physically release all of your pain onto him, you felt Severide grab onto your waist and rip you off of your father.

Your arms and legs were still thrashing about, despite your father being away from your grasp. “Come here, get off of him. It’s okay.” Severide tried to console you, but you were absolutely furious.

“Y/N! Enough, he’s not worth it!!!” You heard Shay shouting from behind you.

Once Severide knew you were done putting up a fight, he planted you back on the floor. You adjusted the stray hairs that had fallen all over your face and began to catch your breath.

“What the hell’s going on?” Casey shouted from across the apparatus, walking over with his arms out in question. “Is everything okay?” He glanced between Severide - who looked like he was about to punch a wall, his jaw clenched- and you.

“Nothing, he’s just leaving.” You said while trying to catch your breath, and resisting the urge to fight once again.

Your father must’ve thought Casey was the chief, because he put his arms up in surrender, and turned on his heels.

You immediately went into the driver’s seat of the ambulance to fully park it into the bay, as if your father were never here.

Kelly put his hands on his hips, hanging his head low and then glancing back up towards Shay and Casey, squinting at them. He knew what it was like when family troubles came into the firehouse, so he felt for you. He didn’t like to see you upset, even though his feelings for you haven’t been confessed.

“Who was that?” Casey asked, looking between Shay and Severide as if the answer lay between them. Severide gave him a ‘I’ll tell you later look’, motioning towards you with his eyes.

Once you had parked, you opened the ambulance doors and began doing inventory. This was always how you distracted yourself against your mental struggles; pouring yourself into your job (and vodka into shot glasses).

Severide knew you were going to say you were fine if he asked - even though you weren’t - so he gave you space. Severide and Casey headed into the firehouse, and Shay joined you in the back. She sat down on the stretcher and looked at you hesitantly.

“Let’s just get through the rest of this shift, Shay” you looked at her, feeling her eyes burning into you with concern. She nodded in agreement.

“Oh myyy- Shay!!!!!! Do you remember that call- that- that” you couldn’t even get the words out, your drunken self barely able to comprehend reality. You completely forgot what you were saying because you were trying very hard to focus on pouring your shot.

You had went back to Shay and Severide’s place after work, ready to get fucked up and forget about the day’s events.

Once you had finished pouring a - very large - shot, you walked back over to the couch to continue your story. “Kel, you’re going to pee your pants when you hear this.” You looked over at him and he nodded, anticipating your story. What your beer goggles were concealing was the look of concern on his face.

He was leaning back into the couch, one arm around the back of it. His other hand held a bottle of beer, which he had barely taken a sip out of- intentionally staying sober given your altered state.

Shay got up as soon as you made it to the couch, grabbing the vodka bottle from the counter in an attempt to hide it. Severide saw what she was doing and attempted to distract you. “Okay, tell me this story Y/N” he chuckled, motioning you to sit down and face him.

“I need more alcohol in order to get this out” you chuckled in response, clinking your shot glass against his very full beer - causing both your drinks to spill - and sending your head flying back to down the Ciroc. Severide rubbed your back when you were done- seeing the look on your face he knew it couldn’t of gone down well.

It’s not that they wanted you to get to these state of drunken toxicity- they didn’t want to send you in spiral by telling you to stop. You were a party girl, but they had never seen you get to this point.

“Shay! Shay, I’m about to tell the story” you eagerly called her over, your hands signalling that you wanted her to come closer.

The sudden eager movements you made caused the room to spin, despite you being seated, and you felt a wave of nausea. “You okay?” Shay asked, walking over as you had asked, and immediately noticing the pale look on your face.

“I’m-” you were interrupted by a burp, and the urge to spill your stomach’s content. “I’m fine- help me tell this story” you giggled, ignoring the sick feeling. If you paid too much attention to it, you knew it would make you feel worse.

“And what story is that, Y/N” Shay looked over to you, a smile on her face as she brushed a stray hair out of your face. She was worried about her best friend, and she could tell that Severide was too.

“A coupl- Oh god” You didn’t even hesitate, you just made a run for the closest bathroom, knowing it was inevitable. You made it to Kelly’s en-suite and un-ate the pizza slices you had a few hours before. Kelly immediately ran after you, seeing you crouched next to the toilet bowl. He knelt down to gather your hair in his hands and began to softly rub your back. “It’s okay” he whispered soothly.

Shay was leaning against the door frame of the bathroom with a glass of water. She leaned over and handed it to Kelly, who encouraged you to drink your first non-alcoholic/ caffeinated beverage of the day. “Here love. Drink this.” He held up the cup to your lips, helping your weak body to drink.

The sudden influx of liquid triggered your stomach to un-eat a second time. Severide was right behind you the entire time, making sure your hair was out of your face. “Can you wet this Shay?” He handed her a face towel from his towel rack, planning to put it on your neck and cool you down.

Once you were done, you felt absolutely exhausted. You leaned back onto Severide’s chest, your head falling to the side and your eyes closing. He looked at Shay with a look of worry but also relief, knowing that sleeping was a better result than putting yourself at a higher risk for alcohol poisoning.

He picked you up and walked over to his bed, gently placing you in the middle. Grabbing a blanket to drape over you, he made sure you were on your side in case you got sick again.

Him and Shay both walked out of the bedroom, deciding to let you rest.

“That was bad, Kelly.” Shay started pacing around, running her hands across her face and through her hair in stress. “I’ve never seen her get like that.” The two friends looked at each other, unaware of how to best support their friend.

“We have to make sure he never goes near her” Kelly said, looking up at Shay with a look of anger on his face. It was your decision to get that fucked up, but it was ultimately your upbringing and your father’s re-appearance that encouraged the excessive drinking that night. Whoever’s fault, he knew that you would be okay if it weren’t for the guest appearance you had to deal with.

Shay nodded in agreement. She began to clean up their place, white claws and packs of cigarettes, and rolling papers everywhere. You enjoyed rolling when you were drunk.

“I’m gonna run by her place, pack her a bag” Severide announced to Shay, who supported the idea.

Severide pulled up to your street in his Mustang, reaching for the spare bag he put in his passenger’s seat. He was about to get out until he saw a familiar vehicle he had seen at the firehouse earlier that day- a grey Honda civic. He was almost positive it belonged to your father, because he had watched him leave the firehouse to make sure he had truly left.

He made a phone call. “Hey man.. yeah everything’s okay, I just need you to do me a favour. Can you run this plate? It’s CD 37846.” As soon as Jay confirmed what Severide somehow already knew, he hung up and got out of the car, gunning it for your dad.

Tapping on the window aggressively with his knuckle, he motioned your father to roll the window down. As soon as it came down, the smell of alcohol flooded his nose.

“You have 1 minute to drive away, and if you ever come back here, so help me god you’re going to regret it” Kelly spat out, trying to comprehend that this was his reality, and also trying to keep himself from beating your dad to a pulp.

Your dad chuckled with amusement, laughing at the threat that was made to him. He took a swig from his Whiskey bottle, almost as if to calm him down. “You may tell my daughter what to do, but you sure as hell don’t tell me what to do” your dad looked over at Kelly, making it very clear that he was unfazed by his comment.

“We’ll see about that” Kelly tapped the window, making his way up your front steps. He didn’t want to give your dad the time of day- he didn’t deserve it.

“That girl has commitment issues, so I would watch it if I were you. She’s a whore just like her mother, don’t be scared to hit her if she falls out of line.” It didn’t even take your dad finishing his sentence for Kelly to walk back to the car, open the driver door, and drag him out onto the floor.

He began throwing punches, and couldn’t even make out his surroundings while doing so. All he focused on was how good the anger felt as it seeped out of his skin, blow after blow. The pain his shoulder felt was the least of his concerns.

The anger completely overtaking him, he didn’t even notice Jay arrived, attempting to disrupt his punching spree. “Kelly! Hey! Stop it, man! Don’t to this.” Kelly was grabbed by Jay, and once he contained his anger he was let go. He spat on the floor right next to your father.

“Kelly, who is this? What’s going on man?” Jay asked, slapping Kelly’s chest as if to reprimand him.

“Y/N’s father. He’s stalking her, I don’t even know how he got her address. He was at the firehouse earlier today and wouldn’t leave, he has a bottle of whiskey in his car.” Kelly began pacing around, trying not to look at your father because if he did, he’d want to hurt him even more. “He hits women, Jay. I can only imagine what he’s done to Y/N.” He began pacing around even more once he imagined the possibility of you getting hurt at the hands of your father, the man who was supposed to be your ultimate protector.

Jay nodded in understanding, thinking about what the next steps are from here.

“I’ll book him for the bottle, and I’ll say he got into a bar fight. D&D.” Kelly nodded.

Jay turned your dad over and put cuffs on him, helping him stand up. When they walked over to the cop car, your dad made one last remark.

“That was nothing... I hurt them even worse than that” Your dad showed Kelly a toothy, bloody grin, chuckling in content with what he said. Kelly knew that if he ever saw him again, he couldn’t keep himself from killing him then and there. Jay roughly put him into the back of the car, and slammed the door.

“I owe you Halstead.” Kelly said, and Jay quickly nodded his head.

Kelly returned to the apartment, a bag of your belongings in his hand. He headed straight for the fridge, actually ready (and feening) for some beer. He was glad Shay seemed to be asleep- he didn’t want to discuss the events that just took place.

He opened his bedroom door and peered in. You were laying on your slide sleeping peacefully. He walked over and took a seat right next to you, moving a strand of hair that fell in your field of view out of the way. Caressing your cheek, he thought to himself that his feelings for you were stronger than he had imagined. He ended up falling asleep right next to you- a safe place for you both.

Pairing: Kelly Severide x Reader

Request by anon: I was wondering if you could write kelly x reader fic where she was pregnant with him and lost the baby and when he brought her home and cuddle her until she stop crying and all the fluff you can put there?

Word Count: 394

Warnings: mentions of miscarriage, angst, fluff

A/N: Here's a short drabble for Kelly! I kind of sprained my hand today so i am typing... slowly... but anyway i hope this turned out okay!

KELLY SEVERIDE MASTERLIST

“I’m sorry Y/N.”

You could still hear the words echoing in your head, could even see Natalie and Connor standing there with grim expressions on their faces.

The worst part was that you had no idea why it had happened, or how. Natalie had tried to explain something about improper implantation but all you heard was that you’d lost your baby. The baby that had been unplanned but that you and Kelly had been looking forward to meeting.

Just as you felt the hot tears brim up in your eyes, you felt Kelly’s hands snake around you. You hadn’t even realised when he had climbed onto the couch with you.

You felt Kelly’s touch as he folded his arms across your body from where he sat behind you, one of his arms lying across your chest as he firmly held onto your upper arm. He didn’t say anything but you could feel the stubble from his beard gently sweep against the skin on your neck as he nestled his face close to you.

The tears rolled down your cheeks as you sat there wrapped into Kelly, before they turned into sobs. Kelly pulled back a little, turning you towards him without saying anything before he pulled you back into him gently again, your head resting against his chest as you sobbed, your shoulders shaking.

“I’m sorry.” You repeated over and over, in between sobs.

Kelly rested his chin gently on the crown of your head now, his hands wrapped around you, his fingers drawing small comforting circles onto your shoulder. “Shh, it’s okay, baby. It’s okay. It’s not your fault.”

So you’d sat there, pressed tightly against Kelly, until you felt almost all dried up before you turned your tear stained face up to look at Kelly.

Kelly gave you a small smile, cupping your face gently as he swept away the stray tears that still lingered on your face.

“We’ll get through this. Together.” Kelly whispered, pressing his lips onto your temple.

You held onto Kelly, almost as if your life depended on it, before you nodded into him.

“I love you, baby.” He whispered, his breath tickling the side of your face gently.

You tightened your grip on his hand. “I can’t do this alone.” You whispered.

“You’re not, I promise.” Kelly whispered back, gently tightening his arms around you once again.

Kelly Severide- Relief

Since finding out I was pregnant I've been benched. Normally I would be fighting fires with Matt as my lieutenant, but Boden has put me on paperwork duty and doing everyone's payroll. Which is kinda boring if I'm honest. I'm now 8 months pregnant and my back hurts so bad most of the time, but I'm determined to work right up until the birth. Although right now I'm rethinking that idea.

Sighing I stretch my arms over my head needing a break from sitting down. I get up and waddle to the kitchen where I find everyone

"Does anyone know if we have any pickles and chocolate?" this has been my pregnancy craving since I basically got pregnant

"Top cupboards, I'll get them down for you" Matt says walking over to me

"Thanks" I move out of the way for Matt who reaches to the top shelf for me. I take the chocolate place it in a bowl and warm it up

"Hey baby how you feeling?" Kelly walks into the kitchen from outside

"Alright. Hungry, tired, back hurts, just the usual" I sigh as the microwave beeps. I take out the now melted chocolate and dip in a pickle

"Remember when you hated pickles?" Hermann chuckles. Just as I'm about to leave to go back to my little office Kelly stops me

"Come here. Let me help you back for a little" his arms move around my waist lifting up my bump. I let a moan out leaning back on to Kelly, relief from the extra weight I'm carrying

"Aww" I hear Gabby gasp

"Wanna carry on eating your chocolate pickles?" Kelly asks. I give him a nod before dipping another pickle in my chocolatey soup. Unfortunately my relief doesn't last to long since the alarms go. Gently Kelly lowers my bumps

"Won't be long and when I get back I'll hold the bump again"

"Thanks"

When they return Kelly comes back to me holding a bag

"What you got in there?" I ask

"More pickles and chocolate" he says getting them out and placing them on the kitchen work tops "now lean back on me again" I do as he asks and once again he lifts up my bump giving me some relief from my discomfort

"You guys are going to be the best parents" Brett gushes watching the interaction.

Kelly Severide- A Sick Child And Wife

Kelly and I got married 6 years ago. We have 2 children Aniah who is 4 and Jordan who is 2 and we are currently trying for another. I woke up not feeling well today, sick, headache, sore throat. Unfortunately I know it's not morning sickness as I have started my period. I stay in bed a little longer this morning before I hear a little voice "Momma wake up" I feel little hands on my face "momma I want food" I open one eye to see my little girl Aniah staring at me. I groan sitting up "where's daddy?" I ask looking over to the empty side of the bed. He's not at work today

"With Jordan. He's sick"

"I think whatever Jordan has momma might have" I smile at her

"Oh no. Uncle Matt said when someone gets sick we all get sick" I chuckle at her

"Your uncle Matt doesn't know when to zip it does he?" I get out of bed and immediately have to run to the bathroom. I can hear Aniah shouting for Kelly and running down the stairs

"Daddy, daddy, mommas sick" I flush the toilet and go downstairs to see my husband cuddling our son on the couch who is wrapped up in a blanket with a bowl next to him

"Morning. How are you feeling?" Kelly looks up at me from the TV

"Sick" I chuckle

"I'm sorry baby" I sit next to Jordan and snuggle up to him "I'll make you a drink" Kelly gets up and walks into the kitchen. I lie back on the couch with Jordan in my arms and sooth him to sleep. I can hear slight mumbling coming from the kitchen. "Hey baby" I look up to see Kelly with a cup in his hand "I've rang Matt, him and Gabby are going to take Aniah out for the day and your brothers are coming over to me look after you and Jordan"

"Yay uncle Matt and auntie Gabby" Aniah starts dancing around

"They don't have to" I say

"I know but it will be really helpful"

"Is that why uncle Matt said everyone gets sick?"

"Yes sweetheart because we all look out for each other and help each other when we're sick"

"Aniah go upstairs and I'll come up to help you get changed" we watch as she runs up the stairs "I'll take Jordan up to bed. Drink this tea and try to rest" I smile at Kelly as he scoops Jordan up in his arms and carries him up to bed. I can then hear giggling coming from upstairs, I'm guessing Aniah is getting dressed. I sip my tea and close my eyes.

Not long later I hear the door open. I look over to see my brothers and Kelly's best friends

"Hey sis how you feeling?" Will asks walking over to the couch and places a hand on my head

"Like shit. It's like morning sickness all over again but nothing to look forward to" I try to joke

"You are really warm. You wanna go up to bed?" I shake my head no and we hear little footsteps running down the stairs

"Auntie Gabby" Aniah yells making wince at the headache that has now fully set in

"Shhh Aniah your momma doesn't feel well" Gabby replies as she hugs her

"Sorry momma"

"It's ok baby. Have fun with Matt and Gabby" I smile at her. She walks over to me and kisses my cheek

"Feel better soon momma. I love you"

"I love you to angel" Kelly walks down the stairs carrying a bucket over to the kitchen

"Bye daddy"

"Bye sweetheart" we watch as everyone leaves

"Ok so Will you wanna take care of Jordan and I'll look after YN? Jay you wanna run to the store and grab some supplies?"

"Sure" Will smiles and takes the now clean bucket upstairs. Jay leaves with some money while sits on the couch, I lay my head on his lap and Kelly begins to play with my hair soothing me to sleep

"Thank you Kelly. For looking after us"

"Always baby. In sickness and in health remember. I love you"

"I love you too"

Kelly Severide- Wasps

"Good morning love birds" Gabby shouts as Kelly and I exit out of his Mustang, my new epipens in hand as the one I have at the firehouse is now out of date

"Morning" I reply. Kelly places his arm around my shoulders as we enter the building "I'm going to let Boden know that I've got new epipens"

"Ok" Kelly leans down and kisses my lips before I make my way to Bodens office. I knock the door and boden nods to say come in

"Hey chief. Just wanted to let you know I have my new epipens. I managed to get enough for one to stay here and one to go on truck with me as well as having one at home"

"Fantastic. Just be sure you're carful, it's the season for wasps and bees"

"Of course. I'll take the old ones and get rid of them properly"

"Not a problem YN" I walk out of the office and replace my old epipen with the new ones.

I'm sat next to Cruz about to tuck into my lunch when the alarm goes off

Ambulance 61, Truck 81, Squad 3, multi car pile up I-55

I jump up from the lunch table

"Don't go anywhere" I point to my sandwich making Joe chuckle. We all get ourselves suited up and get into our trucks. When we arrive I jump out of the truck, a car is wrapped around a tree. I hear buzzing and look up, shit, there's a huge ass wasps nest hanging from the tree "err Lieutenant, kinda got a problem" I say out loud not taking my eyes off the nest

"What's the... oh. Chief YN is sitting this one out. Huge wasp nest, potential to get stung" Matt says into his radio "go sit in truck" I nod my head and sit in truck watching the others. Annoyed that I can't do much, but I would just make things worse if I get stung. Thankfully everyone involved was ok, just minor injury's.

We arrive back at the firehouse and I can't wait to eat my sandwich! I get out of the truck and strip before running to my sandwich. I hear Kelly chuckle behind me

"What I'm hungry?" I shrug

"Nothing, your just cute"

"I know" I reply. Kelly sits down next to me taking my other half of my sandwich "hey" he takes a bite of my sandwich "your lucky I love you"

"Love you too" Kelly smiles at me as the others all join us at the table

"Sorry to break this all up as sweet as this is, but there's a wasp flying around here" Otis tell us all

"Seriously? It's like they somehow know I have new epipens, $600 each" I sigh

"I'll try and kill it" Casey says getting up from his chair

"I guess I'll shut myself in a room" I sigh getting up. I then hear buzzing around me and the next thing I know is I feel a pinch "shit" my hand instinctively goes to my arm where the pinch happened

"Did you just get stung?" Kelly is standing up immediately

"Errm" I look at my arm and see a red spot "I think I may have been"

"Epipen?"

"It might not have been the wasp. I feel ok at the moment"

"I'll get it just in case" Brett gets up and walks over to the cabinet when I put one of the pen

"Got it" Casey says hitting it with a fly swat. Kelly hasn't taken his eyes off me. I start feeling a little off

"Kel. I'm not feeling so good"

"Brett!" Kelly shouts. I start feeling worse and worse as the seconds go by

"Here"

"Babe do you want to do it?" Kelly asks me. I shake my head now struggling to breathe. Kelly opens up the epipen cap and immediately puts the needle in my leg. I then can take in a breath

"YN we have to take you to Med" Brett says

"Yeah I know" I pout slowly standing up

"Hey woah steady. Let me carry you" I roll my eyes at Kelly who's scopes me up in his arms

"My knight in shining armour" I joke as he walks to the ambo with Brett and Borelli walking behind us. Kelly gets in the back with me and Brett

"I hate wasps" I frown crossing my arms pouting making Brett and Kelly laugh.

Kelly Severide- 2 Years Ago

2 years ago YN did something she never thought she'd do. A one night stand. YN had gone through a nasty divorce and went to Vegas. That's where she meet a very handsome man. At the time she had the name Kelly, that was it but it didn't matter because it's not like she was going to ever see him again, right? Wrong. 4 weeks later YN finds out she's pregnant. She knew she needed to find Kelly, but how? Does he even want to be involved? After months of looking YN's baby bump grew and grew and so she needed to start to focus on herself and her baby.

2 years on and YN saw him on TV, she would never forget that handsome face. She heard that he was part of firehouse 51 in Chicago.

So that is where she is right now. Stood outside the firehouse with her 1 year old boy balanced on her hip. Nervous she takes in a deep breath and walks into the fire house

"Can I help you?" a man named Matt Casey asks

"Erm yeah. Hi I'm YN I'm looking for Kelly"

"Come with me" YN follows the man further into the firehouse "Severide. You've got a visitor" that's when YN spots Kelly sat at a table playing cards. He looks up and immediately his eyes shift from YN to the baby on her hip

"Hi" is all YN can say.

To have a bit of privacy Kelly takes YN to his office, closing the door behind him. Kelly leans on his desk as YN stands in front of him

"Is he...."

"Yours? Yeah. I wanted you to have the choice to be part of his life, but I didn't know where to find you"

"How did you find me?"

"You were on TV. I recognised you so I got a flight here" there's a pause while Kelly rubs his face with his hands, obviously feeling a little stressed and confused. Once again he looks at the baby

"What's his name?"

"Jacob" again there's a small pause

"And he's definitely mine?"

"Yes. Your the only person I slept with around that time. I know this is a lot to take in so I'll give you some time to think about it, about whether you want to be in his life. Here.." YN reaches in her pocket for a piece of paper with her number on "call me or text me with your answer. I'm staying in Chicago for the week" Kelly takes her number then shows YN the way out of the fire house.

Walking back into the firehouse Kelly flops down at the lunch table with a sigh

"So who was that?" Capp asks

"A one night stand 2 years ago" Kelly replies looking at the number YN gave him

"And the kid?" Gabby asks

"Mine. She's giving me a choice to be part of his life. I just don't know how we're going to make this work. She doesn't live in Chicago and I don't want to move so how do I be a dad?"

"Look. You've wanted to be a dad for so long now. You and Shay never got the chance to. Maybe this is your opportunity. I say take it" Casey tells his friend

"If your both serious about this you'll figure something out" Sylvie says

"How did she even find you?" Herrmann asks and Kelly proceeds to tell him about the TV show.

Over the day, Kelly has YN and Jacob on his mind. Thinking about what to do, what was the right thing to do? In the end he settles on messaging YN, telling her he wants to be part of Jacobs life, but he isn't sure how it's going to work.

For YN she was always prepared to move to wherever Kelly was. Her life back at home wasn't worth her staying, having no friends or family, it was just her and Jacob. When she receives a message off Kelly her heart almost skips a beat, he wants to be Jacobs dad. Immediately YN calls him asking for them to meet up somewhere, which Kelly suggests Mollys. YN gets herself and Jacob ready and grabs a taxi to said bar where she sees Kelly nursing a beer in his hand. When he notices YN he stands up awkwardly going to give her a hug

"Erm thank you for meeting" YN says sitting down with Jacob on her lap

"So how is this going to work?"

"I'm happy to move here"

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. I don't have anything back home waiting for me. My friends were my ex's friends and since I got pregnant he has been my life. I hate my job so if it means you can be a father to Jacob, I'll move"

"Before we met that night I was going through some shi... stuff. My best friend died, we were trying to have a baby together. That's why I was in Vegas"

"I'm sorry that happened, but now you have got a chance to be a father"

"I can't believe I'm actually a dad" he says looking at the baby

"You want to hold him?"

"Can I?" YN gives Kelly a smile before passing Jacob over to him "thank you, thank you for giving me this opportunity"

"Guess I best start looking for an apartment"

Kelly Severide- Finally

Kelly and I have been married for 3 years now. We met because of my brother Matt joining firehouse 51, then Kelly and I dated for many years before he proposed. Our wedding was a beautiful day and filled with so much love.

After a couple of years of marriage we decided that it would be time for us to start a family. Unfortunately this took a lot longer than expected. We even went to the doctors to find out if there was anything wrong. They just said that for some men and woman it can take longer and to come back in a year if we are still yet to conceive or if we struggle to carry full term.

Of course seeing negative after negative pregnancy test it really effects you mentally. So we stopped taking pregnancy tests so regular. We will only take one if I think I could be pregnant.

I wake up feeling off like I've drank to much. Headache and nausea. Rolling over I place my hand on Kelly's side of the bed, but I'm greeted by the bed being cold. That's when I remember that Kelly had to head off to work early this morning. I groan sitting up, my head spinning as I do, I swallow dryly feeling so ill. Slowly I crawl out of bed and go into the bathroom to get myself ready for the day. Thankfully I work from home so I don't have to go out anywhere.

I'm typing on my laptop when I have to quickly run to the bathroom to throw up. Which weirdly makes me feel immediately better. I clean my teeth getting rid of the nasty taste in my mouth and go back to my work.

I spend the next few hours working, but when my day of work ends I'm absolutely exhausted so decide to take a nap before Kelly comes back home.

This goes on for the next few days which does make me wonder if I could be pregnant. So while Kelly is at work I route around in one of the draws for some pregnancy tests that I bought months ago. When I find them I pee on the sticks and leave them on the back of the toilet before going back to work.

I forget about the tests for a couple of hours before I have to go to pee again. I pick them up not thinking that it will be positive, but when I see the little plus sign on all of the tests I am shocked. This is the first time I've ever gotten a positive pregnancy test, but still not wanting to get Kelly to excited I want to make sure that this is true. So that day I ring up my doctors and book an appointment for the next day. However I'm going to have to sneak out because Kelly is off.

The following day I wake up in Kelly's arms making me smile. I turn around to face him and brush some hair out of his face making him sigh and pull me closer

"Morning" he says in his gruff morning voice

"Morning" I reply placing a kiss on his lips "what have you got planned for today?" I ask

"I'm staying home and cuddling you all day. I've missed you" I giggle at his reply

"I've missed you to, but I've go a couple of jobs to do this morning"

"Like?"

"Well I have to go to the bank, then pop to the grocery store"

"I'll come with you"

"No" I say way to quickly causing Kelly to frown "I just mean it's going to be boring and you've been working really heard the past few days. Why don't you sleep in" Kelly frowns not buying what I'm selling

"What's going on?"

"Ok you caught me. I am actually getting you a surprise but I'm not telling you what it is so you'll have to wait"

"Ok? Why?"

"Will you stop asking me questions. Go back to sleep I won't be to long" I place a kiss on Kelly's lips before getting up and getting dressed.

So I'm pregnant! I run to the store and buy a gift bag, some dippers, wipes and baby bottles. I then head back home with all of the 'gifts' in the bag and head into the house

"I'm home!" I call out and Kelly is quick to greet me with a smile. He wraps me up in his arms causing me to giggle at his affection "go sit down for your surprise" he eagerly leaves my side and sits down on the couch still with a wide grin on his face "ok close your eyes" I say and he does. I place the bag on his lap and tell him to open. He puts his hand in and the first thing he pulls out are the packets of wipes

"Baby wipes? You trying to tell me to wipe my ass or something?"

"No. Keep going" next he pulls out the baby bottles. He frowns taking out the box of diapers. He looks at me still frowning, but a look of realisation crosses his face as I keep smiling at him

"Are you...? Are we...?"

"Yes. I'm pregnant" Kelly is up in an instant and spins me around then kisses all over my face

"I love you so much!"

"I love you to Kel"

"I'm going to be a dad"

"Yes you are. We're finally getting what we wanted"

Kelly Severide- I’d Drop Everything

Trigger warning- blood

YN and Kelly have been dating for a while now and they recently moved in together. Kelly is very protective of YN, wanting to make sure she is ok always. She only has to get a paper cut and he basically becomes a doctor, mainly because YN faints at the sight of blood, even if it's her own.

Today YN is at home cleaning while Kelly is at work. YN's favourite music blaring throughout the house as she dances around the kitchen. YN she sticks her hand in the warm soapy water in sink to clean the cups and plates left from the night before and this morning when the feeling of burning runs across her hand. Quickly lifting her hand out of the water she notices blood trickle down her arm. Immediately YN's stomach churns and she begins to feel lightheaded. Grabbing the tea towel next to her she wraps her hand up as best she can before grabbing hold of her phone and calling the first person to come to her mind, Kelly.

Kelly was eating a sandwich when the call came through. Everyone notices the smile that creeps on to his face

"The missus calling?" Capp smirks

"Shut up" Kelly can't help but keep his smile on his face as he answers the call "hey baby what's up?"

"Kel" immediately his smile drops hearing the panic in his girlfriends voice

"Baby what's wrong what's happened?"

"I cut my hand... Kelly the blood there's a lot of blood" before YN could even tell him what happened he was already on his feet knowing that she hates blood

"Ok ok I'll be home in 5 minutes. Breath ok can you do that?" Kelly leaves the firehouse, not saying a word to anyone, he gets into his car and starts up the engine

"Hurts Kel" YN whimpers

"I know I know but I want you to lie down on the couch ok and keep your arm in the air ok?"

"Ok"

Kelly rushes through the door to find his girlfriend lying on the couch crying

"I'm here now. Let me look" gently Kelly takes the tea towel, now soaked with blood, from YNs hand "ok I'm gonna get the first aid kit" he says before walking off.

Quickly he returns with the green bag, unzipping it he takes out the alcohol wipes "ok this is gonna sting a little. Take a deep breath ok" YN does as Kelly asks. Whimpering at the sting the alcohol caused, Kelly does his best to sooth her with gentle words "ok it's not to bad, the water probably made it look worse that it is. I'll bandage it up and then we can get you something to eat and drink ok?" Kelly does this as gently and quickly as he can.

Once done he helps YN sit up slowly before going to get her a drink and some cookies go eat

"Thanks" YN mutters quietly "I feel so stupid"

"Don't. It's ok. I best phone Boden, let him know I'm staying home for the rest of the day, hell I haven't even told him I left"

"Kel" YN sighs "you should have... Damn I shouldn't have rang you"

"Of course you should have. I didn't need to come home to my girlfriend passed out on the floor" he chuckles

"But you left work for a small cut"

"YN, I'd drop everything if you asked me to. I'll be back in a bit" Kelly walks off into the kitchen to phone Boden

"Severide where the hell are you?"

"Sorry chief. YN cut her hand, had to come home you know how she is with blood" Kelly hears Boden sigh

"How is she?"

"Shaken up, I've given her something to eat and drink, but I wouldn't be surprised if she feel sick for the rest of the day. I need to take the rest of the day off, I hope you understand"

"Of course I can, send her our love"'

"Will do thanks" Kelly hangs up the phone walking back to the living room to find YN lying back on couch "how you feeling?"

"Tired" YM mumbles "feel a little sick"

"Have a nap. You'll feel better then" Kelly places a kiss on the head "I'll make you some dinner for later" YN nods her head a little closing her eyes. She feels a blanket being placed over her before falling asleep.

Kelly Severide- A New Baby Pt1

I never thought I'd get married and have kids. I just didn't think that I would ever find a man I'd consider having that kind of life with, but when Kelly Severide stepped into my life everything change. We didn't meet in the best of way. He's a fireman and I'm a police dog handler. There had been a bombing and they asked me to send my search and rescue dogs in. I fell for the guy there and then.

5 years on and we are married and have a beautiful daughter who's just turned 3 named Harper.

Today I woke up feeling off. Headache and nausea on and off. I have today off from work which is fantastic, but also my daughter is here and as much as I love her she can be an absolute nightmare

"Harper can you pick your toys up please"

"No thank you mommy" at least she's using her manners right?

"Harper. Daddy won't be happy when he comes home"

"Daddy loves me so he won't shout" Harper shrugs and she's right. She's a daddy's girl and she has him wrapped round her little finger. I'm always the bad guy and that's fine this is our dynamic, but sometimes it would be good to get a little help off him

"Right come on pick the toys up before someone hurts themselves"

"But I'm playing with them mommy"

"Harper I'm not feeling very well so please pick up your toys. I'll help, but your not getting anything else out until these toys are put away"

"Fine" Harper shouts and I rub my head as a headache begins again.

Once all the toys have been picked up I sit down on the couch and close my eyes for a moment

"Mommy?"

"Yes princess?" I open one eye to look at her

"When's dinner?"

"When daddy gets home"

"When's that?"

"Soon" I reply "I'm going to take a nap. You know the rules"

"Don't unlock the door and daddy has a key to get in. Can I play upstairs?"

"Yes, but don't run"

Before I know it I'm being woken up by Kelly's voice and touch. I open my eyes and see Kelly smiling at me

"When did you get home?" I yawn

"Just. How long have you been asleep?"

"Not long" I reply glancing at the clock "how was work today?"

"The usual, how was Harper?"

"Giving me hell"

"You made any supper?"

"No not yet" I shake my head

"I'll order us some food instead. What do you fancy?"

"To be honest Kel, I don't feel to good. Think I might be coming down with something. Just order yourself and Harper something"

"You need to eat. Even if it's just some rice or something"

"Ok" I give in to Kelly.

Once our food has arrived we all sat down together. I take small bites of food and small sips of water

"So Harper. Have you been a good girl for mommy today?" Kelly asks. Harper lowers her head a little

"I wasn't naughty and mommy has been lazy today"

"Mommy said she isn't feeling very well so you need to be a big girl and help her"

"But..."

"No buts. Now eat your food and then it's bath then bed time"

"Fine" Harper pouts and takes her time eating her tea trying to make her bedtime later.

Once the Harper is in bed me and Kelly curl up on the sofa together watching TV. I swallow feeling more and more nauseous until I can't keep it down any more and the urge to throw up over comes me. I jump off the couch and run to the downstairs bathroom, Kelly following behind me.

Once I finish throwing up Kel and I head upstairs to bed

"You feeling any better?" Kelly asks as I change into one of his shirts

"Yeah. The nauseas gone now. Im just super tired. I've had a headache all day so its probably that that's made me sick"

"Maybe your pregnant" Kelly says. I roll my eyes at him

"I'm not pregnant"

"Are you sure because we're not very carful" Kelly states and to be fair he's got a point "you've been tired all week. We said if you were to get pregnant we'd be happy"

"Of course I would be, but had my period 2 weeks ago"

"Could be 2 weeks pregnant"

"Kel I'm not pregnant" I sigh getting into bed

"This is exactly what you were like with Harper"

"If it makes you feel any better I'll take a test tomorrow"

"Ok" Kelly kisses the top of my head and then wraps his arm around my waist and we both fall asleep.

YN was the newest detective at PD, Jay's newest partner since he and Hailey started dating. YN moved from the UK to New York originally, but once Voight got word that New York had one of the best detectives he knew he needed her on his team. So he put a transfer offer in and she agreed.

After a tuff case Jay invited YN to join him and the others to go to the bar Mollys or pub as YN would call it. That's where she met Kelly Severide trying to chat up a woman while nursing a beer. When the woman walks away from Kelly that's when YN and Kelly start talking.

It started off as just friendly, YN met everyone at the firehouse and quickly became friends with everybody,but the one probably that YN had was she had gained feelings for not only Kelly but Matt Casey as well. Little did she know at the time both of them also gained feelings for her.

It took a while for them to all reveal their feelings, but when they did YN never felt more confused. She didn't know what to do at first thinking she had to choose, but Matt and Kelly reassured her that she didn't need to choose between either of them, they just wanted to be with her.

It was new for all of them, being in a 3 way relationship so while they were getting used to this they kept their romance a secret. That is until YN let it slip to Jay that she was stressed about what people would think. Jay at first was shocked, but supported his partner and friend.

6 months into their relationship they decided to tell their friends which they all were worried about, but they really didn't need to be. Their friends were supportive of them, although it may get some used to for everyone but YN, Matt and Kelly weren’t treated any differently.

They’re often seen at Mollys having a couple beers, YN sat in the middle of Matt and Kelly. Kelly’s arm is usually round her shoulder while Matts hand is often on her thigh. This is one of the ways that Matt and Kelly let everyone know that she’s taken.

Matt and Kelly are both very protective of YN, but she can be just as protective. Like when a woman was hitting on Kelly at Mollys, YN walked over and sat on Kelly’s lap giving the woman a overly sweet smile. Or when YN had been called on to a job helping the fire department during an active shooting in a burning building. YN would keep Matt behind her at all times with her gun raised.

After they decided it was the right time to move I together they fell into a pattern and certain roles. Kelly is often the one the cook for the three of them while Matt often washes up after dinner and YN will clean down the surfaces. When YN is off she will usually strip the bed and do all of the washing, while when Kelly and Matt are off they will clean the house. This doesn’t mean that every now and then they will creep on to each other’s roles or just help one another.

Being in a relationship with someone who’s British Kelly and Matt had to get used to her sayings. Like the time YN was writing something down in pencil and she makes a mistake. She asks Kelly “can you pass me a rubber”. Of course Kelly was super confused to why YN wanted a condom, but went and found her one anyway. When he gave her the condom YN frowns looking at him “why have you given me a condom? We’re not having sex right now”. “But you asked for a rubber?” he replied also frowning. “Yeah to rub out what I wrote”. “Ohhh an eraser” he would come to the realisation.

Or when YN and Matt has gone shopping and YN asked Matt to pick up an aubergine “a what now?” Matt would ask confused. “Oh god is this another thing with a different name”. “Must be. What’s it look like?”. “It’s the errm, the dick emoji” YN would whisper. “Ahhh eggplant”.

A few years into their relationship they decided to have a baby. Well the plan was shed have a baby with Kelly first then in a years time she would have a baby with Matt. That way they would both have a biological baby, not that they were overly bothered, but since they could they thought why not.

When YN fell pregnant she had certain cravings that neither Matt or Kelly could find since they were specifically British snacks. Crumpets and quavers. Kelly learnt how to make crumpets from scratch while Matt would phone YNs family to ask them to send quavers to them.

YN, Matt and Kelly work well together. It may have not been what any of them thought their lives would look like, but you can’t help who you fall for.

Crumpets are a type of bread with holes that a toasted and often served with butter. I actually like them with no butter and soft cheese.

Quavers are a type of crisp/chip that are cheese flavoured. They are my absolute favourite crisp.

Kelly Severide- Stuck

Most people would think that our parents would be proud. Having one child as a doctor, one a police officer and one a firefighter, but no. Our mom died while I was young. Our dad, well we didn't have the best relationship and then he passed away. My brothers Will and Jay are my rocks and I love them so much, so telling them I am dating Lieutenant Kelly Severide was very nerve racking, especially because Kelly and Jay are such good friends. However when I did tell them they just had the usual 'you hurt her and I'll hurt you' kinda talk.

We’ve just had a call about a house fire, possibly arson so Jay and some of the other at intelligence will be there.

When we arrive I see my Jay and Erin waiting for us

“What have we got?” I ask walking over to them

“We think at least 2 people are inside. Just need your guys to do their thing so we can go inside to look” I nod my head at Erin

“Ok” I turn around

“Hey YN” Jay calls my name

“Hmm?”

“Be careful, we don’t know if the arsonist is inside. Could be armed”

“Well if you hear me scream then you know we have a problem” I say

“Don’t even joke about that” Jay scolds. I give him a quick hug and run back over to truck

“Halstead your with me” Matt says putting his helmet on. I nod getting mine. Kelly then takes my hand in his and gives it a little squeeze. Some thing we do when one of us is going on a job and we still need to be professional. I followed Matt and we both walk into the burning building

“Fire department call out!” I shout scouting the room. I follow behind Matt up the stairs. We open one of the doors to check in

“Fire department call out!” Matt shouts. I then notice a woman on the floor

“Casey” I say walking over to her. I feel for a pulse. It’s faint but it’s there. I take off my oxygen mask

“What the hell are you doing!”

“She will die if…”

“YN, Matt you need to get out, buildings unstable”

“We can’t leave her” I cough feeling the smoke starting to get to me

“Ok” Matt starts to drag the woman out while I hold her feet. Suddenly the floor under me collapses

“Halstead! You good?” Matt shouts

“I think so”

“Damn it” my alarm starts going off “Boden Halsteads gone down, permission for squad”

“Permission granted” that’s when my arm feels stuck

“Casey?” I call

“Yeah?”

“I think my arms stuck under the wood” I cough out

“Ok hang in there. Squad are coming in now”

Within a few minutes Kelly is hanging over the hole in the ground. I can’t stop coughing as I keep inhaling the smoke

“How you doing down there”

“Struggling to breathe” I chock out “arm hurts”

“Ok let’s get you out of here. Can you grab my hand?” I reach up but can’t get to Kelly “ok I’m coming down. Cruz get the rope and a spare mask” it’s getting even harder to breathe “just stay with me ok?” I give a little nod. Kelly drops down with a mask and places it around my face

“This is probably going to hurt like hell, but I need you to pull your arm out when I say”

“Ok” I breath out. Kelly lifts up the wood trapping my arm. The pain is excruciating as I pull my arm out and that’s when it all goes dark.

I wake up the the sound of beeping machines. Great I’m in the hospital. Slowly I open my eyes. My arm feels heavily. I look down and see it in a cast. Kelly immediately stands up gaining my attention

“The woman?” I croak. Kelly chuckles as he helps me take a sip of water

“Always putting people above yourself. She’s fine. Just smoke inhalation” I give Kelly a nod “your brothers are here. Want me to send them in?”

“Yeah” in walks Jay and Will

“How you feeling?” Jay asks walking over to me looking worried

“Like I’ve got some sort of throat infection”

“You’ll have a bad throat for a day or two” Will tells me

“I know the drill. Remember this isn’t the first time I’ve inhaled smoke”

“That’s not a sentence any of us want to hear” Will says sitting at the end of bed

“When can I go home?”

“Well since you have such a loving caring brother who’s also a doctor..” I give Will a kick with my foot “ok ok. Tomorrow, just have to watch you overnight. Now I need to get back to work. I’ll see you later” Will kisses my forehead before leaving me

“You both need to go back to work as well” I tell Jay and Kelly

“You going to be ok on your own?”

“Kel I’ll be fine. Seriously it’s just a broken arm and sore throat and anyway I’m sure April and Maggie will pop in to see me. Go”

“Ok. Love you”

“Love you too” Kelly bends down and kisses my lips

“Alright move away before I throw up” Jay pulls Kelly back making us chuckle “see you later” he also kisses my forehead. Jay then pushes Kelly out the door

“Love you!” I shout to my brother and Kelly trying not to laugh. I’m so lucky they all get on, I don’t know what I would do if they didn’t.

Kelly Severide- I’m Here To Stay Pt2

Months later YN spent most of her time at the firehouse and at Mollys. So much so that she got a job at the firehouse doing almost reception type of work, and Herrmann even asked if she could bookkeep at Mollys. Her and Kelly have been getting closer and closer, they have been on a date and shared a kiss, but they haven't made anything official between them. The whole firehouse loves YN. They saw her as part of their family and since YN had no family in Chicago Herrmann took it upon himself to treat her as if she was his daughter. However things were all about to change when YNs ex boyfriend came into the picture.....

I walk into the firehouse having not slept the night before. My ex keeps messaging me, even though I'm ignoring him. I've even blocked him twice and he just finds a new way to message me.

On top of all of that today I feel faint and rather sick. I feel like I'm in a constant state of anxiety

"Morning" I weakly smile greeting everyone who arrived before me

"You ok YN?" Gabby asks frowning

"Yeah just super tired today. Didn't sleep well last night"

"You sure? You look kinda pale"

"I'm fine Gabby don't worry" I walk passed her and to the kitchen area to grab a bottle of water. My phone buzzes once again sending even more anxiety through me, this time it's a phone call

"You not going to answer that?" I turn around and see Kelly walking over to me with a smile

"No it's not important" before Kelly can reply the alarm sounds telling everyone to head out

"I'll see you in a bit" Kelly says walking out of the firehouse. I let out a breath and look at my phone full of texts and miss calls off my ex. Feeling super sick and tired I head into Kelly's office and get into his bed, leaving my phone on a side table.

I wake up to my phone buzzing again, I'm so close to throwing it out of the window. I get up and head back into the main area of the firehouse where I see everyone eating

"Hey your looking a little better. Go grab yourself some food" Gabby smiles

"Im not hungry"

"YN you need to eat" Kelly says worriedly

"I feel a little sick today so I'm good"

"YN..."

"Kelly. Seriously I'm fine" I try to give him a small smile. I sit next to Gabby who ends up giving me a sandwich

"Eat" she says. Sighing I take the sandwich and nibble at it. Conversations start flowing when I feel a nudge "everything ok?"

"Im..."

"Don't say your fine. What's going on?"

"Can we talk privately?"

"Course. Hey guys I'm going to take YN to the ambo, just take her vitals" Gabby announces

"You said everything was fine" Kelly says standing up

"It is"

"I just want to check her over, said she feels sick and she's tired today. Just want to be sure"

"Well let's go then" I give Gabby a look

"No you stay and eat. If she isn't good I'll let you take her home, but you better eat up before Otis ends up eating your food" Kelly frowns sitting back down and I follow Gabby to the ambo. I sit down on the bed and she sits next to me "what's going on?"

"My ex has been phoning me and texting me" I quietly say

"As in stalker, creepy ex?" I give Gabby a nod "shit. Ok and I assume Kelly doesn't know?"

"Why should he need to know?"

"Come on YN. We're not blind. You and Kelly are obviously a think"

"No. We never officially made us a thing"

"But your going on dates. You kissed. Your always over at each others house. Don't kid yourself, but you need to tell him, he's worried about you"

"I know. Ok. I'll tell him tonight"

That evening we watch TV and order chines, even though I just seem to be picking at it. I excuse myself and go to the bathroom, but when I return Kelly is fuming, somethings happened

"Kel?"

"So your not gonna tell me?" shit he knows

"I was going to tell you..."

"Bullshit"

"I was Kel I spoke to Gabby and..."

"Gabby knows!" he shouts. I start to shake a little "so you've been playing me and Gabby knows"

"Playing you? What are you...?"

"Don't act dumb. You've just admitted that you've been cheating on me"

"Cheating? What no? I mean we're not even together are we?"

"Fuck YN of course we were" this shocks me

"Were?"

"I don't give cheaters a second chance" my eyes start to tear

"I haven't, it's not..." I splutter

"Save it YN"

"But Kelly I haven't..." before I can finish my sentence Kelly walks out of my place and leaves, probably heading to Mollys.

Kelly has a new neighbor and he's instantly taken aback from this young beautiful woman. Unfortunately she suffers from a heart failure and because of that she's often dizzy and nauseous (maybe Kelly finds her one day nearly passed out on her doorstep and since that day they're getting closer. Worried Kelly... I'm desperate for it :D) after a while she gets to know the whole firehouse which instantly loves the shy girl. She even helps Herman with the Bookkeeping of Molly's. Kelly and the whole team always has an eye on her and helps when she's feeling miserable because auf her heart disease. Her life could be perfect, when there wasn't danger lurking around the corner. She's running from her stalking ex and he seemed to find her. Harassing her with messages and calls on her phone. Her friends from 51 notice her change, the jumpiness and her pale appearance but she brushes it off. One day at Kelly's (they are definitely growing closer even shared a kiss) he "accidentally" reads a text message (because he got suspicious days ago because her mobile is constantly getting messages) from her stalker, but Kelly assumes that she's seeing another man. He confronts her and says some nasty things totally in shock she can't defend herself and he kicks her out. Super dizzy she because of the stress and her alleviated heart rate she stumbles in her apartment, nearly in panic that she lost Kelly. The next day Herman worries that she's more than one hour late, because she wanted to help him at Molly's with the books. He calls Kelly and Kelly, even brooding and full of anger he checks on her. She doesn't opens the door and worried sick he uses his spare keys (he finds her on her bathroom floor on the brink of unconsciousness. She was there the whole night throwing up. With a racing heart and struggling with breathlessness he brings her in his apartment, calling Will in panic....)

Will she reveal her secret, are they come clean with theit feelings for each other? Incoming happy end 🙏🥺

Kelly Severide- I’m Here To Stay Pt1

Sorry this took so long for me to write but I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Kelly Severide gets ready to leave the firehouse after a long day at work

"Spoken to the new neighbour yet?" Capp smiles wiggling his eyebrows throwing his bag over his shoulder

"Shut up" Kelly crosses his arms

"So that's a no then. Well you never know you might be lucky to tonight"

For the last 2 weeks now Kelly has been giving his new neighbour a small wave and smile, but has yet to introduce himself to her. He finds her rather attractive, but what's weird is normally Kelly has no problem going up to a pretty girl, but YN? YN seems different, there's something about her that makes Kelly loose all of his words. Once his co-workers found this out a week ago, they have done nothing but torture him.

Now YN wasn't unaware of how attractive her neighbour is. He was her type to a tea, but seeing him coming home in his firemen uniform made her shy, to shy to go up and say hi. Not only that but why would she want to bother her new neighbour with her illness? She's already talking to doctors at Chicago med about having a heart valve replacement. Capp was right. That evening Kelly saw YN sat with her head in her hands. He slowly makes his way over to the woman

"Hi, erm are you ok?" YN looks up at Kelly

"Oh erm yeah don't worry. Just had a dizzy spell don't worry"

"Let me help you inside"

"Oh no don't worry I'm fine" YN slowly gets up but starts to sway

"Yeah your not right. Let me help you" giving in YN gives Kelly her keys. He guides her into her house and into the living room and sits her down "let me get you a drink. Where do you keep your glasses?"

"Cupboard above the bread bin, but you really don't need to...." before YN can finish her sentence Kelly has left the room and making his way to the kitchen. He soon returns with a glass full of juice "found some orange squash, thought you could do with a bit of sugar"

"Thank you" YN takes the glass off Kelly

"We've not formally met one another yet. I'm Kelly by the way"

"I'm YN" YN and Kelly shake hands. YN then takes a large gulp of her juice and starts to feel better

"How are you feeling now?" Kelly asks, concern still laced in his voice

"Much better thank you"

That evening the pair spent many hours talking and getting to know one another. A friendship quickly blossomed between the two. After a week Kelly couldn't stop talking about his beautiful, kind and funny neighbour. The rest of the firehouse all knew that his friendship was blossoming into more, even if the pair couldn't yet see it.

YN actually told Kelly about her heart condition fairly early on in their friendship, having this feeling that she can just trust him. Kelly of course has to make sure his new friend is ok, he will text her everyday asking how she is, and now YN will message Kelly by her own accord if she's struggling that day.

Kelly sits at the table with a plate full of food in front of him when he gets a text off YN letting him know she isn't feeling very well today. Kelly sighs putting his sandwich down

"What's up with your face?" Leslie asks sitting opposite Kelly

"Just YN isn't feeling very well today"

"You care a lot about her don't you?"

"We're friends"

"Hmm keep telling yourself that Severide. You care like how a boyfriend would care. Why don't you go and pick her up. Bring her here for the day. That way you can stop worrying about her"

"You think Chief would allow that?" Kelly raises a brow at his best friend who shrugs

"Go ask him" and so Kelly does just that.

At first Boden laughs thinking Kelly was joking, but once he realises how serious he's being, Boden can't do anything but say yes letting YN spend the day at the firehouse, especially after Kelly told him that YN has a heart condition.

That day was spent with YN in Kelly's office, catching up on last nights sleep and Kelly looking after her. Over time YN got closer to Kelly telling him everything about her. About her ex who was to clingy (like obsessive) and how she's trying to stay hidden from him. Of course Kelly took this as his role to keep her safe and look after her.

Kelly- Months Go By

2 Months Pregnant

How are you feeling?" Kelly helps me up off the floor after throwing up. Nyx not really helping as she's in the way a little

"Like death. I can't even keep water down" I sigh as Kelly puts a cool wash cloth around my neck

"I think it's time to visit the hospital YN"

"No, no I'll be fine" I go to stand up but I have to hold on to Kelly so I don't fall "ok fine" I give in.

Kelly drives me to the hospital where I'm greeted by Maggie

"What's wrong?"

"She keeps throwing up. Can't even keep water down now"

"Ok let's get you in a bed and get you on a drip. April!" She calls

"Ok come on YN. Maggie can you call Connor let him know YN's in room 4"

"Can I come with her?" Kelly asks

"Yeah follow me"

3 Months Pregnant

"Ok so the gel may feel a little cold" Natalie says as I hold my shirt up for her to do my 12 week ultrasound

"Both heartbeats are strong"

"Both?" I frown confused

"Congratulations, your having twins" Nat turns the monitor around

"Twins? As is 2 babies?" Kelly asks shocked

"Yes two babies. Here is baby A and here is baby B" Nat points to the monitor. I look over to Kelly with tears in my eyes "I'll get some pictures printed off for you"

"Thank you" Kelly wipes the tears from his face. Natalie leaves Kelly and I alone for a bit

"We're having twins" I say still in shock. Kelly smiles then leans down to kiss my forehead.

4 Months Pregnant

I throw my bag on the couch as I walk through the door. Nyx comes running up to me with a happy face while I look so pissed if it's unreal. I've just had lunch with my sister who basically told me that she can't be around me because dad thinks that I'm stupid and it's going to rub off on to Clair

"Woah you ok?" Kelly asks wide eyed

"No. Clair doesn't want anything to do with me now. My family hate me" I cry out. I sit next to Kelly on the sofa

"They don't hate you. They just need time to get used to the situation"

"You don't know my dad and sister. They've had a feud with Connor for years"

"Well if that's the case then you have me, Connor, all of the firehouse, Med and even PD. Your family has grown massively. We will give them the option to be apart of this babies life. If they don't want to then you know they aren't your family"

"Just sucks Kel"

"I know and I'm sorry your having to go through this" Kelly wraps me up in his arms and holds me close to him.

5 Months Pregnant

Things between Kelly and I have changed. I've always found him attractive sure, but recently we have been falling asleep on the couch together. Weirdly it feels like Kelly and I are a little family.

I look at myself through the mirror and notice my little bump starting to grow

"Kelly!" I shout "Kelly come here"

"What? What's wrong?" Kelly runs through the door with panic in his eyes

"Look" I turn and show him my belly "I've got a bump"

"Can I?" Kelly motions towards the bump. I give him a nod to say it's ok. He places his warm hands on my tummy "hey little ones. Im your daddy. Me and mommy can't wait to meet you" he says making me tear up

"Stupid hormones making me cry at everything" I wipe my tears.

6 Months Pregnant

"Look at you, your glowing" Gabby greets me at the firehouse as Kelly and I make our way over

"Thanks. Tell you what though I don't think I'll have any ribs left once these two are born"

"So how did it go today. Do you know the genders"

"Yeah Kel and I do but your going to have to wait a little bit before we tell everyone"

"Go grab yourself something to eat" Kelly kisses the top of my head before waking off to his office

"So you and Severide then?" Gabby wiggles her eyebrows

"We're friends" Gabby gives me a look as if I'm mad as we walk into the kitchen area

"So you don't find him attractive?"

"I slept with him 6 months ago so you answer that question"

"I just mean are you sure your just friends? Because I see how you look at one another. Would you go on a date with him?"

"I mean yeah, but he definitely sees me as just a friend. Trust me"

7 Months Pregnant

Ok so he didn't see me just as a friend. Kelly and I went on a date and it went well. We went out to a café for breakfast and now we're dating. I'm still sleeping in a separate room for the most part and now we're decorating the babies room but can't decide on the colour of the room

"I feel like grey all over will be to much" I tell Kelly looking at the room "I saw on Pinterest a white wallpaper with loads of grey elephants. The white will break up the grey a bit" I get out my phone and show Kelly the wall paper

"Lets see if we can find that paper or some similar"

"Oh also I want a rocking chair"

"We can get a rocking chair" Kelly chuckles.
