This was a special gift I made for my mum and it's also today's prompt @kernowcraft . . My mum absolutely loves yellow and summer so when I found this cab, I thought it was perfect. Then I found a sun template to cut out from the base and this was the result 🥰 . . I'm quite proud of how this pendant came out and it definitely represents what my mum is to me ❤️ . . It's hygge day @kernowcraft 🥰 I'd heard this word and its explanation once before but I needed to look it up again ☺️ . . Basically it's a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture). . . Soooo I have made a collage of some of the things that give me hygge, that is, my pup, hot cocoa, rain, Harry Potter movies, Christmas and mum's handmade advent calendar, cosy slippers and old movies with Gene Kelly and other fantastic artists from back then ❤️🥰 . . Today's @kernowcraft prompt is outfit of the day and this is the most wonderful one for me, especially today! . . I've been consistently going to dance class since early this year and today I tried on my leotard again and it fits a little bit better than before 🥰 . . In any case, my outfit represents one of my joys in life - dance. It's what helped me get out of my depression when I was younger and it also boosted my confidence and self-esteem in general. . . Dance is so much more than a physical activity and art... it's a healing activity because you get to vent and express your emotions in a healthy way, and it's heaps of fun! . . It's patience day today @kernowcraft #kernowcraftchallenge and these @£#!/# collets have been trying it too much! 😫 . . I think the silver seat is a bit too low in this case but I can't be sure. In any case, I can't seem to get the stone to sit properly and if I burr down too much I'm going to put a hole in the walls 😔 . . The gold piece on the other hand... I can't get the seat to go it or stay put and it's all driving me crazy right now. . . Only thing to do? Walk away and forget about it for now 😵 . . Any tips on the above will be greatly appreciated as I'm falling behind like crazy right now and I'm soon gonna cry 😭 . . Do you often go out of your comfort zone or do you prefer to stay in that little safe bubble? . . It's a well-known fact that when we get out of our comfort zone we can be capable of great things! Beading and wire wrapping has always been easier for me but last year I challenged myself to learn and do more by enrolling in the @jewellersacademy silver jewellery diploma. . . Was it easy? Not really. Was it scary? Definitely! But also exciting ☺️ . . This year I challenged myself again and started the fine jewellery diploma... the level it's at is insane! But I know that a year from now I'll be repeating to myself..."I did it. It wasn't that bad!" . . So today, for @kernowcraft challenge day 8, I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone. It's the last day of the @kernowcraft challenge and it's all about goals 🥰 . . I'm finishing up my diploma in silver jewellery right now and it's certainly been an adventure ❤️ I'm all set to do the fine jewellery diploma in September too but in the meantime it will be nice to have a bit of free time to work on my business and to get some practice in. . .
