“ i’ll take those , thank you very much , ” evan snatched her own set of keys from his hand giving them a little jingle as she walked further into her own apartment , tossing them on the kitchen counter and flicking lights on here and there on the way to her bedroom . home looked like exposed brick and floor to ceiling windows . it felt empty , at first , but now it looked like untouched and unfinished canvases , overgrown greenery , and a makeshift in - home photo studio . home had old concert posters on the wall and warm lighting throughout . it was all of these things , but it was also something else entirely because home reached out to steady a drunken sway without hesitation in his hands and had eyes that lightened under the sun and darkened under the stars . kieran’s footsteps were a steady beat behind her , just as they had been the moment she’d decided her social capacity had run out and it was time to go .  “ you know , ” she huffed as she fell onto her bed , a wisp of a curl tickling flushed cheeks , “ i absolutely could’ve gotten that unlocked myself . you’re just –– ” she sat up , looking over at him in the doorframe . thoughts sponsored by whiskey began to derail , and the faintest smile curled at her lips , blue eyes starry as she paused . . . because so many things could’ve filled that blank . “ impatient , ” tumbled out , slanted in a drunk kind of way as she leaned down and fumbled with her laces . definitely could not have unlocked it on her own . after a moment , a frustrated groan passed her lips and she gave up , once again looking up at kieran . her elbow rested on her knee , cheek cradled in her palm , and her brow furrowed , “ how is it you always get stuck with the babysitting gig ? who , exactly , is paying you ? ”

summer  ...  i  thrive  in  the  sun  ,  also  it’s  raining  in  manchester  for  70  %  of  the  year  so  we  have  to  support  summer  when  she  decides  to  come  through  !!

❛     of course. i’m like, the coolest person i know. i can do anything if i set my mind to it. except a backflip. believe me, i’ve been trying for years.      ❜      real answer: absolutely not.

❛     i wish   ...   hm. i wish i had a million dollars   ?   no. i wish for   ...   world peace   !    yeah. world peace. that is, if this is like, magic genie rules and not something someone could get me. if that were the case, i’d ask for an iced coffee or a stiff drink. that or, the whole backflip thing.       ❜      real answer: i wish i was less reliant on other people for happiness. 

❛     sweet. one hundo percent. fries and stuff are good if you’re drunk or high or whatever, but i don’t have an entire bag of lollipops in my nightstand drawer and the world’s best chocolate chip cookie under my belt for no reason   ...   wait, are there sweet fries   ?      ❜
