when eleanor isnt opening her fucking mouth i do think the madi and eleanor scenes are really cool. like the history of it but from such opposite sides where both have complicated fondness but one side (eleanor) is completely unaware of or unwilling to acknowledge the cost their childhood relation came at, unaware of or unwilling to contemplate what that life rlly meant to madi and her family and why her father (mr scott) kept as much of madi's life hidden from eleanor's as possible
#i love madi basically telling eleanor to her face w the rejection of eleanors romanticization of mr scott as a father figure as well that#eleanors supposed idyllic remembrance of this childhood together neevr existed even if they did play together amd care abt each other#bc there was nothing safe abt it. bc you cannot be a childhood playmate fr to someone u are not considered human when standing beside.#because it never could have lasted without the total subsuming of madi's person and motivations forced to defer to eleanors like mr scott#had to and/or pretended at. and eleanor doesnt see this at all. she sees only a tragedy done to herself at the LOSS of this rsther than the#kind of daily loss and tragedy madis family would have to live thru in just being around eleanor and her father.#my post#black sails#nomi liveblogs
