getting into g o t 7 (sorry dont want this to end up in search) has brought me a lot of joy but it's also very much a double edged sword bc now that i have some more insight into like, the general kpop industry (and i say general bc i know it's different for every idol/company etc etc) im like. seething sometimes lol. the constant 'dieting' and unhealthy work schedules, the (untreated) mental and physical health problems that many idols deal with, the way that they're barely allowed to visit their families even when the company has more than enough funds for that, or the way that theyre (most likely) forced to do things they might be and sometimes clearly are uncomfortable with for views (the more queerbait-y stuff), or even just the way that their own creative input and wishes for their own careers are very often and easily dismissed. idk dude. also the hairstyles that are forced upon them sometimes are disgusting.
