I need to draw Booigi real soon, the lack of them is making me itchy
#kelperambles#uhhh pic is unrelated but I thought the paper luigi was cute 💖#anyways I just wanted to ramble about how much I love booigi LMAO#but like I need the very specific type of booigi that has been rotting in my brain in order to be satisfied#OKAY OKAY. picture this: Names are such an important thing to Luigi. Many people don’t tend to remember the bare minimum about him#so he really appreciates the few people who take enough time to remember his actual name or small things about him#then when King Boo pulls up he’s literally yelling Luigi’s name and cursing him out#sure while Luigi is still scared of him he can’t help but feel flattered that King Boo subconsciously respects him enough to call him Luigi#not green mario. not the man in green. just him…truly him.#and while Luigi might not want an designated enemy (like what Mario and bowser have)#the fact that king boo believes that Luigi is significant enough to be his enemy is something Luigi cannot ignore#King Boo acknowledges Luigi for his strengths in his weird theater kid way#but I can really see them growing closer together once Luigi discovers that King Boos plays everything up just to be DRAMATIC ✨✨#king boo WANTS luigi to react. and if he doesn’t get that he more or less just lets go of the act#like what’s the point of setting everything up if Luigi’s not even going to match his high energy?#honestly they just need to both RELAX for a second and they would really hit it off#it’s actually embarrassing. they’re so embarrassing.

Possessed Chapter Three: Mario
Without the adrenaline coursing through him, the pain in Luigi’s arm was so much worse. It throbbed in time with the rather horrid headache that was rapidly setting in. He wanted nothing more than to lie down in a dark room and curl around his arm in wretched misery. But despite how bad it was, King Boo’s only complaint was that the blood leaking from it and soaking into his sleeve and getting all over his front too ruined the look he’d been going for.
‘It’s not my meat suit,’ he explained. ‘So I have no reason to care if it gets damaged.’
Well Luigi cared and he would very much prefer it not be. He had no say in that though. King Boo didn’t even seem inclined to bandage his arm because he was just like that.
Instead he focused on E. Gadd and ensuring he did as he was told and freed all the boos in the three vaults he’d kept them in. As soon as they were all released back into the wild, Luigi got an uncomfortably strong sense of King Boo’s happiness about it and this situation as a whole. He was almost tempted to cling to it to escape his escape his misery more but didn’t; he didn’t want to share in King Boo’s joy about any of this.
Next came the destruction of the equipment that had captured and held the boos, including the Poltergust E. Gadd had been seemingly been in the process of repairing before he tried to use it defend himself with it. King Boo stepped in to do that himself, using a mix of magic and Luigi’s fists and feet and eventually even a crow bar.
He was ruthless, zapping, punching, kicking, smashing, until E. Gadd’s machines were reduced to a pile of metal and wires. It made the pains Luigi was already experiencing worse and introduce new ones. And King Boo didn’t stop at the vaults and Poltergusts either, he started going to town on everything else in the lab too, his rage fueled by a personal vendetta.
E. Gadd tried to protest a few times but King Boo wasn’t listening, he gave up when King Boo threatened to kill him if he didn’t shut up. Polterpup stayed by him, always placing himself between him and King Boo growling ferociously whenever the latter moved too close. Overall, it was bad, stressful time for everyone except for King Boo.
“There, you’re done” E. Gadd said what felt like forever later when King Boo’s anger seemed to finally be spent and everything in the lab had been reduce to little more than piles of rubble. “Now release him.”
Panting a little from exertion, King Boo turned to face him with a grin, resting the crowbar against Luigi’s shoulder. “When did I say I was going to do that? I don’t think I even implied it as a possibility.”
E. Gadd gasped and glared. “But… you can’t… You got what you…”
“He’s my puppet, I’m not giving him up.” Lifting his chin, King Boo tossed the crow bar to the side and started for the exit. “Lucky for you though, I’ve decided to let you live. Leaving you alive after wrecking your lab, destroying your life’s work, unable to take revenge against me without hurting your friend even more than he’s already hurting is better vengeance anyway.” ‘If he attacks, I’ll change my mind though, I don’t like disrespect.’
Thankfully, E. Gadd just muttered a few more attempts at a protest that King Boo ignored completely. He followed King Boo out and to the car, only giving up when King Boo slammed the car door shut.
‘Let’s go pay Mario a visit now, huh?’ King Boo said as he backed out of the driveway, running over E. Gadd’s mailbox in the process.
Just when things seemed they couldn’t get any worse too. … Please don’t. But… no amount of begging would convince King Boo to change his mind. He only took pleasure in it and thus… Luigi didn’t even try very hard. … King Boo laughed out loud about that.
 -
By the time they reached Peach’s Castle, Luigi was tired enough that he probably would’ve been able to fall right asleep even with the pain in his arm. The bright sunlight as King Boo walked his body through the courtyard hurt his eyes and made him feel unwell – part of that might be blood loss though. Though it was nothing compared to the dread growing in him at the thought of Mario seeing him like this; a pitiful sorry state, actively violated by King Boo.
What was Mario going to do or think or say? Would he believe that this was Luigi’s fault somehow? How disgusted would he be? Would he even…
“Luigi?” It was a toad, he approached King Boo and Luigi hadn’t even noticed.
“I’m looking for Mario,” King Boo said, attempting to speak like Luigi.
“What’s up with the uh…” Toad trailed off, gesturing vaguely at his face. “And why are you dressed like that? And what happened to your arm? That’s not… blood is it? I don’t like blood.”
King Boo held back a sigh of annoyance. “I-I need to talk to Mario. It’s important. Do you know where he is?” His imitation wasn’t the worst in the world but with everything else it shouldn’t be at all convincing. … Unfortunately, the castle toads had never paid much attention to Luigi so this one looking like he believed it was not much of a surprise.
“Uh… uh… I’m not sure. Probably in the castle somewhere, maybe his room. You uh… should probably get that looked at if it is blood… it doesn’t look good.” At least it wasn’t actively bleeding anymore though, right?
“Yeah, sure, I’ll do that.” King Boo turned away to start for the castle again. ‘Toads are annoying, how do you put up with them?’
Luigi should respond in defense of the toads but considering how that one had just mostly ignored the fact that something was very blatantly wrong here he wasn’t even really sure he wanted to. And he lacked the energy to really try anyway.
As always, the door to the castle was unlocked. The toads guarding it reacted to Luigi’s current appearance much the same way the first one had, letting King Boo enter with little questioning. Ugh! How did they not see the crown and think ‘King Boo’? They’d never been the smartest folk around but surely they couldn’t be that stupid? … Then again though, other than the toads who’d come to the hotel with Peach, none of the castle toads had ever seen King Boo so maybe they just didn’t know.
‘Or maybe they just hate you. It wouldn’t surprise me.’ King Boo smirked as he strode freely into the castle.
Maybe you should just shut up.
King Boo laughed internally. ‘Oh, getting angry now, huh? Sure did take a while.’
Luigi refused to respond. Everything he did or said only ever seemed to give King Boo cause to taunt him some more. So… he was just going to stop thinking for a while instead. … Too bad that was really hard to do.
The entrance hall seemed to be empty. So were many of the rooms and halls except for the occasional toad. Most were too busy to pay King Boo much mind but the ones that did, all believed his only half decent Luigi impersonation, expressing nothing but concern for his obviously sorry state. None of them knew where Mario was though, that was a relief.
Maybe Mario was out somewhere doing something with Peach or Yoshi or anyone else. Hopefully wherever he was, he’d stay there until something happened and King Boo was no longer a problem. … What were the chances of that happening though? … King Boo’s response to that thought was a hearty laugh.
After searching half the castle, they ended up in the entrance hall again. Before King Boo could start for the other half, the sound of the entrance door opening drew his gaze. … It was Mario!
‘Finally!’ King Boo was utterly delighted. Luigi was utterly the opposite.
Mario had spotted him too, pausing for a second before coming further in. “Luigi?” His brows were furrowed with worry as he came closer. “Toad told me you were looking for me. Are you… okay?”
No, Luigi was not okay. He’d never been less okay in his entire life. He desperately wanted to tell Mario that and... he desperately wanted Mario to save him.
King Boo laughed out loud, twisting Luigi’s face into an evil grin. “Hey Mario, it’s been a while. Though really, I don’t know how long it’s been, it’s hard to keep track of time while in captivity.”
Only a few feet away now, Mario stopped, his face hardening. “Who are you? And why do you look so much like my brother?”
“Can’t you guess based off the crown?” King Boo gestured to it. “And I look like your brother because in a way I am.”
No, you’re not!
Mario was silent for a few seconds before it seemed to click. “King Boo?”
“Yup!”
Mario rushed forward to grab Luigi by his shirt front. The look on his face said he wanted to punch King Boo and King Boo was going to let him. “What did do you do to him?”
“Nothing actually, well, other than steal his meat suit anyway.”
Mario’s grip loosened as he stepped back, a look of horror coming over his face. “Is he… if you…”
“Nah, he’s still in here.” King Boo winked as he tapped the side of his head. “Which is the whole point of this. You can’t do anything to me without hurting your bro even more than you’re going to be hurting me. It’s brilliant, isn’t it? I should’ve thought of this a long time ago instead of trusting Helen to do anything with her stupid hotel.” He did not like Helen, her obsession with him made him uncomfortable. … If only Luigi could do something with that knowledge or at least find it funny. “This is better vengeance anyway, don’t you think?”
Mario opened his mouth but failed to say anything for several seconds. “Why… just why?”
“Because I can and because I wanted to.”
Luigi willed Mario to run away now before King Boo could hurt him or worse. He’d have a better shot at fighting back than E. Gadd had but unable to fight back properly King Boo might still be able to…
Please, you’ve had your fun, please just leave now. Don’t… don’t hurt him… please. Luigi wasn’t even begging to be let go, he just didn’t want to watch and feel as his hands were used to hurt the people he loved. He wouldn’t be able to take that, it was too much.
King Boo was absolutely delighted with both the look of useless fury on Mario’s face and with Luigi’s desperate begging. He’d won, he was finally victorious over his enemies at last. No more would boos be sucked up into vacuums or bullied. He’d done what no other person had ever done before, he’d utterly defeated the Mario bros. And now he was going to have a little fun with that.
No… please don’t. Luigi pulled his mind away from King Boo’s thoughts as much as he could but they were too intense to get away from completely. Please don’t hurt him.
King Boo took a single menacing step towards Mario and… Something hit the back Luigi’s head with a loud bang, bringing an intense flash of pain followed by blessed nothing.
***
Mario gaped as Luigi’s body crumbled to the floor in a heap. He’d seen Peach sneaking up on King Boo from behind but he hadn’t expected her to whack him with a frying pan.
“That’s my bro,” he said gesturing uselessly at his poor brother who’d already clearly been through so much.
Peach nodded as she lowered the frying pan. “I know. But we needed to stop King Boo before he did something or before he left, bringing Luigi with him.” Yes, but surely there were less violent ways to do that. “So I knocked him out. Now all we have to do is take him to the doctor so she can look at his arm and uh… maybe head now too. And then we’ll lock him in a cell until we figure out how to get King Boo out of him.”
Mario could only groan. While that was a good plan and the only one they really had, it meant Luigi would most likely suffer even more. Why couldn’t there be a fix now?
“Come on,” Peach said as she put the pan away and crouched down to pull Luigi into a more upright position by his arms. “I need your help lifting him.”
Before obeying, Mario bent down to grab King Boo’s crown. It was much smaller now but still obvious. Maybe removing it would… Nope, it wouldn’t budge no matter how hard Mario pulled on it. So it did seem to be tied to his possession of Luigi’s body somehow but not in a way that made it any easier to fix.
“It’ll be okay,” Peach whispered as Mario gave up on that. “We’ll fix this, I promise.”
Feeling a bit choked up, Mario could only nod his thanks. Hopefully for Luigi’s sake, she was right.
 -
While the castle doctor was patching up Luigi, Mario called E. Gadd. Surely if anyone knew how to fix this, it’d be him.
“Mario,” he almost shouted into the phone as soon as he picked it up. “Watch out for Luigi he’s…”
“Possessed by King Boo,” Mario interrupted. “You knew?” And didn’t think to call and share that news, really? It’s not like Luigi was his baby brother or anything, so why would he need to know something like that?
“Well uh… now that I think about, I should’ve called to tell you but uh… my lab’s in a bit of state.” He was too busy cleaning his lab to… “King Boo was rather thorough in destroying everything…” Oh. “… more than just the boo stuff too which wasn’t part the deal. Neither was freeing Luigi like I thought… hoped. He left me alive though so… there’s that. … I should’ve called.”
“What happened?”
“Well, Booigi came to my lab and tried to kill me. He would’ve succeeded if Polterpup hadn’t jumped him. Then he said he’d let me live, if I freed his boos and destroyed the boo vaults but he destroyed everything else too and I watched because… there was nothing I could do and I thought maybe he’d let Luigi go after he got what he wanted but he didn’t and…” He made a wordless sound of frustration accompanied by the sound of his fist banging something metal.
With a sigh, Mario informed him on what was happening over here and the general plan which relied heavily on him. Everything in his lab being destroyed didn’t bode well for their plans though but it was still all they had.
E. Gadd hemmed and hawed for a few seconds after Mario finished talking. “Well, with my lab the way it is, I can’t guarantee anything but I’ll try. It might take a while though.” That… wasn’t surprising. Hopefully Luigi could hold on for a while longer.

LLoG Chapter (?) Fool Me Once, Fool Me Thrice (Snippet)
Yeah I know technically they’ve only been tricked twice but it’s the third time they’ve been through ghostly shenanigans so let me have this
Can I offer you a snippet in this trying time?
Ever since Luigi’s Mansion 3 came out, I’ve been thinking about the masked ghosts in the lobby and just how bad their disguises were (I friggin’ loved it). I also kept thinking about how things might have gone if Luigi and friends had seen through their ruse right off the bat. I was just gonna let the thought be, but then I saw this clip of Luigi very clearly giving the hotel staff incredulous looks and was like “Shit, now I have to write it”.
So here we are! A sneak peak at my attempt to adapt the events of LM3 so they fit more soundly into the LLoG AU. This is very early in Luigi’s “liaison” career, before he and King Boo have shifted into their odd little frenemy relationship. He doesn’t quite have the confidence that we see later in the series, and still sometimes gets startled/alarmed by ghosts/spirits.
Oh! Also, this is a very rough draft, so if it feels choppy and/or if there are errors (grammatical, factual, and otherwise), that’s because I haven’t gone back and given it the ol’ spit and polish. All my writing starts this way. ^^’
=
For context, Luigi has just entered the lobby, and in his distracted awe, accidentally bumps into one of the hotel staff.
===
Luigi’s suitcase flies from his hand as he and the other unfortunate party crash to the floor with flailing limbs and undignified yelps of surprise. The plumber, quite used to clumsy mishaps, is the first to recover. He straightens his hat that had been knocked askew and pushes himself up, immediately spying a hotel staff member—the bellhop, to be specific—clutching at their face and blindly patting the floor in search of their own headwear. The odd behavior goes unnoticed, Luigi being far too mortified by the incident to even register it.
“Oh Stars, I’m so sorry!” Luigi cries, rushing to kneel at the man’s side. “Are you alright?”
“I-it’s okay! I’m fine, I’m fine!” the bellhop replies, still frantically patting at the ground. “I should have gotten out of your way.”
Luigi frowns at the response, perturbed by how the man could simultaneously sound both meek and jovial.
“No, I should have watched where I was going,” he refutes gently. Luigi carefully retrieves the bellman’s cap from the floor and presses it into the man’s searching hand. “Here you go.”
“Ah! Thank you, sir!” The staff member shakily dons the wayward piece of his uniform, back turned to the plumber as they gathered themselves. Luigi glances up to see Peach making her way toward them, face drawn with concern. He gently waves her off, silently assuring the princess that they were alright.
“Here, let me help you up,” Luigi offers, extending a hand to the recovering employee. The man turns and reaches up to accept his offer.
“Oh! Why, thank you!”
Luigi only just keeps himself from recoiling. The bellhop’s face...it isn't a face at all. It’s a mask, and a rather eerie one at that. Bulging, unseeing eyes stare back at him—well, sort of. The pupils are just a tad off, and so small they’re practically pinpricks. A manic grin takes up most of the mask’s lower half, every white, too-perfect tooth in full view—so much so it almost looks like a threat display. To top it all off, the mask is pale blue in color, reminding Luigi of a frozen corpse—a rather fitting description for the static expression pulled straight from the uncanny valley.
“No problem,” Luigi answers, struggling to keep composure. He takes the man’s gloved hand (it's cold as ice) and gently hauls them up (they're unnaturally light for their size) to their feet (they don’t have feet. Or legs, for that matter).
Luigi steps back as the bellman begins brushing off their uniform. He has to make a conscious effort not to let his eyes trail down the man’s coat to the marginal gap between it and the floor. The outerwear is far too long for the style, making the man look like a child in ill-fitting clothes, or more morbidly, someone that got chopped in half at the waist. Their attempt to hide their lack of legs drew more attention than it diverted, in Luigi’s opinion. It was so obvious it almost hurt.
Luigi was talking to a ghost.
“Heh, well, that didn’t quite go according to plan,” the ghost laughs nervously. “I came over here to help you, but you ended up helping me.”
A lot goes through the plumber's mind at that moment. How terrible the ghost’s disguise is. How, despite this, Luigi can’t help but be a little impressed that the ghost didn’t instinctively float upward after their collision, and thus, blow their “cover”. How Luigi can’t seem to escape the paranormal for one Star’s forsaken weekend. How, yet again, he finds himself getting tangled in some specter’s scheme.
But none of these thoughts deign to vocalize themselves, and really, it’s for the best. Luigi has to play this smart. Without the Poltergust, they’re doomed if the ghosts realize the jig is up. If he wants to get everyone out of here safely, he’ll need to feign ignorance—at least until he has a plan.
“Help...me?” Luigi says distantly, still somewhat lost in his thoughts.
“Yes! With your luggage.” The ghost gestures to Luigi’s suitcase, lying forgotten on the pristine floor. “Allow me to ease your burden and place it with the others.”
Luigi quirks a brow at his single piece of luggage. Burden? There was hardly anything in it.
“Oh. Thank you, but that’s not really necessary. I can—”
“Please, I insist!” The bellhop interjects, already drifting (quite literally) toward the aforementioned bag. “You’re on vacation, sir! You should be relaxing. Let me take care of the heavy lifting.”
Luigi starts to object, but then thinks better of it. Best not to create a fuss and draw unnecessary attention.
“Okay, if you insist. Thank you, mister...?”
“Oh! Um, I’m Steward! And it’s no problem, sir.”
The bellman’s name...is Steward.
You have got to be kidding.
Luigi quietly watches the bellman as they (rather awkwardly) carry his suitcase over to the precarious tower of luggage the Toads are desperately trying to stabilize. The plumber sighs, studying the lobby with a carefully concealed wariness.
Now what?
Luigi pauses when his eyes land on one of the other nearby staff members. They, too, are clearly wearing a mask, though it’s not nearly as off-putting as the bellhop’s. The static expression is rather lax—eyes partially lidded and mouth resting in a neutral line, neither a frown nor a grin. A thin, curled mustache is painted neatly above the upper lip, and the equally clean eyebrows are raised in a somewhat haughty manner.
When the costumed spirit turns their head to regard Luigi, the pupils of their mask wobble erratically like googly eyes before settling back into a more natural position (as natural as they can be, anyway). The plumber gently waves to them in a greeting, offering what he hopes is a convincing smile. The staff member acknowledges him with a nod. Their neatly combed wig slides askew at the movement, but they deftly readjust it without so much as a shift in their stance. Luigi quickly shuffles past them in an attempt to hide his grimace.
Good Grambi, he needed something to drink.
Fortunately for Luigi, there appears to be a pitcher of tea at the table Mario is still happily sampling treats from. It’s not what he had in mind, but if it occupies his hands and quenches his thirst, he’ll take it. The plumber approaches the table as nonchalantly as he can, grabbing the rather large kettle and pouring himself a steaming cup of tea. His hands shake minutely as he does so, and Luigi tries to convince himself it’s from the strain of hefting the heavy pitcher.
“Hey bro!”
Luigi nearly spills his drink at Mario’s sudden greeting. He turns, shooting his brother a strained smile.
“H-hey bro,” he says back.
Mario grins—oblivious to Luigi’s inner turmoil—as he snatches up a croissant. He takes a hearty bite and looks back to his brother, humming happily as he savors the taste.
“Isn’ thith plathe great?” Mario asks around a mouthful of pastry.
Luigi grimaces, both at the question and at his brother’s poor table manners.
“Yeah...great...”
Mario nods, taking another bite of the flaky treat. When he speaks again, Luigi is distantly grateful he remembers to swallow his food this time.
“Good food, good atmosphere, good friends...this vacation is just what I needed. What we all needed, right bro?”
Oh Stars, this is so unfair.
“Right,” he answers honestly. A nice vacation is what they needed, but clearly the universe thought that was too tall an order.
How is he going to break the news to Mario? And how does he keep his brother from reacting badly?
Luigi looks down at his cup, absently swirling the hot liquid inside. He subtly checks his peripheral for any nearby staff. Thankfully, they’re all a good distance away, so as long as the brothers keep their voices down, there shouldn’t be a risk of being overheard. It’s possible one of the ghosts knows how to read lips, but if they keep their expressions in check, they shouldn’t draw the attention needed to do so. If that doesn’t work...well, Luigi can only hope the masks are as hard to see out of as they are to look at.
The green-clad plumber watches his brother select a soft pretzel from one of the platters, seeing an opportunity as Mario begins to chow down on the salty treat. His brother can’t yell and make a scene if his mouth is full, right? It’s not ideal, but Luigi is too stressed to think of anything better. He gently sips from his tea, and when his brother takes another bite from the pretzel, he speaks as casually as he can around the rim of the cup.
“The hotel is a trap.”
Mario promptly chokes.
Luigi nearly drops his cup at his brother’s rather violent reaction. He blindly thrusts his drink onto the table and ducks around Mario’s distressed flailing to deliver several hard slaps to his brother’s back. Just when Luigi thinks he’s going to have to try a first aid maneuver, the food swiftly dislodges itself from Mario’s airway, leaving the red-clad plumber to hack and cough wetly as he recovers from the harrowing ordeal. Luigi looks up to find all eyes are on them.
Well, that was stupid. So much for not drawing attention.
A couple staff members move uncertainly toward them, as does Peach, but Luigi quickly waves them off.
“He’s fine!” he calls, voice slightly strained with panic. “Just got a little too...overzealous, is all!”
The disguised spirits exchange what might be—sans masks—hesitant looks, but none-the-less return to their stations. For one, terrifying moment, it appears that the princess is going to come over anyway, but another wave of assurance manages to placate her. Luigi knows he’ll need to tell Peach what is happening eventually, but he doesn’t think telling both her and his brother at the same time would be very wise. Keeping one person calm is hard enough.
“Sorry, Mario,” Luigi whispers. “That, uh...was poorly thought out on my part.”
“Ya think?” Mario wheezes, straightening from his hunched over position. “Making a bad joke like that while I’m eating—not cool, Luigi.”
Luigi frowns, but quickly replaces it with a fake smile. He feigns a hearty laugh and throws an arm around Mario’s shoulders, much to the latter’s confusion.
“I’m not joking, bro,” he says through gritted teeth, false grin still in place. “The hotel staff are all spirits wearing disguises. Really, really bad disguises.”
Mario gives his brother a bewildered look.
“If you’re not joking, then why are you smiling like that?”
“Because if they’re watching us, I don’t want them thinking we’re on to them.” Luigi grinds out. He reaches into his pocket with his free hand and retrieves his cell phone. He lifts it up, screen facing the brothers, and turns on the forward-facing camera. “Say: Play Stupid!”
===
And there you have it! Join us next time to see Luigi and friends smiling and taking pictures like good tourists as they scream internally about their terrible predicament. Laugh and cry as the nefarious hotel staff silently beg the mortals to Blease hurry up and check-in these costumes are itchy

Dude, I love your drawing!! The style and colors look amazing! I really love the idea that Hellen knows magic and is teaching Luigi how to use it. I wonder how the other boss ghost, King Boo, and Mario would react to that?
thank you so much!! and ooh, i hadn’t thought about that. i guess mario’s reaction is the easiest - he’d be super worried about the whole thing. in the mario & luigi games + the adventure comic, he’s more aware of suspicious situations, so he’d probably warn his bro about getting involved in something he doesn’t know enough about.
depending on which boss ghost, the more powerful ones might feel jealous that she didn’t teach them first.
as for king boo? he’s keen on anything to do with getting revenge. but...it’s made clear he sees hellen as useless (😠) so:
if hellen’s plan is to corrupt luigi, the end goal being to help king boo, he would think it’s a stupid plan that won’t go anywhere. not to mention he wants luigi dead, not on his side!
- but the idea of luigi becoming stronger threatens him a lot. And not to mention the possibility of hellen betraying king boo, with luigi on her side? It sounds unbelievable, but even king boo isn’t immune to the occasional paranoid thought.

Hints
Have 7 Karts For Each Character
Get a gold trophy in every cup in Nitro Grand Prixmode on 150cc.
Steal Balloons
Go to ballon battle, to steal a balloon make shure you have 2 or 1 balloons (if you have 3 it will only pop the balloon). Get a mushroom and ram in to a player (if done corectly you should have 1 more balloon).
How to “Skip” a Blue Shell
This isn’t the same as my other “How to dodge a Blue Shell” tip, mainly because, well, you don’t dodge it. You will need a Banana Peel, or anything else that knocks you over! Throw the peel in front of you, and slip on it the second the shell is about to hit you. If you did it right, the shell should’ve hit you, but it shouldn’t have stalled you. You should’ve just slipped (or tripped, depending on the item) on the Banana Peel. This tactic also works for Lightning, only you have to be faster.
Making A Blue Shell Miss You
Just like Mariokartmaniac said. except mine is different!!! To make a blue shell miss you, look at the touch screen. If you see a spiked blue shell next to someone’s name, let second place pass you if you are in first. It should work. But if it doesn’t, I’m sorry you didn’t come in first.
Alternate Title Screen
Finish all classes with gold trophies on all cups.
Unlock Dry Bones
Get a Gold Trophy on every cup in Retro Grand Prixmode on 50cc.
Glich On Rainbow Rode
On the first loop on the track when half way into the loop stay on the side bar and press the powerslide button (R). I only tryed it with mario so I recommended mario.
Shortcut In Yoshi Circuit
Go to lightning cup and the last level called yoshi circuit and there play it. You will start at the shoe. Go around the shoe and turn, there stay going straight. Then you will see a thing to into and thats the short cut and this will get you through the arm quicker.
Shortcut In Delfino Square
When racing on Delfino Square on the Flower Cup, when you see the first set of wooden crates turn to the right as soon as you pass them & there should be a small dirt path with mud on part of it. Go through there & turn left on the other side & it takes you to the item boxes. (I highly recommend using Dry Bones in the Dry Bomber kart because it is faster on off-road surfaces then any other kart. ).
Bowser Castle Shortcut
When racing on the course Bowser Castle on the Special Cup, when you get to the turn table instead of going the regular way go around to where the fire comes down from the ceiling. (Stay as close to the wall as possible. ) there will be an entrance with a red carpet. Go through there & get past the thing moving across the floor & it will take you to the Item boxes.
Quick Items
To get items faster, after you run into a REAL item box, press ‘X’ repeatedly. This is a good idea if a red or green shell are chasing you.
Have All Characters Use Any Kart
Get a gold trophy in every cup in Retro Grand PrixMode on Mirror Mode.
Start In 7th
When you first start up your system (without using touch screen) Press A then down 2 this should get you to vs. Press right 2 down 1 (should select wario) press to the left until the 24th car ( a luigi kart) select 150cc set it to random and 10 races then begin. This should put you in 7th place on bowser castle nitro stage. (only does bowser castle).
Get A Boost At The Start
On the countdown before the race hold the A button when the 2 starts to get big.
How To Miss A Blue Shell.
The materials you will need is a Golden Mushroom. get a Golden Mushroom in sixth place, then pass every one in front of you without using the Golden Mushroom. After the first lap, watch the bottom of the screen, and if someone has a Blue Shell, wait until the Blue Shell is right behind you then use the Blue Shell. It should blow up away from you. If the blue shell didn’t hit you then you did it right.
The 2 Fastest Karts
There are 2 karts in mario kart that have full speed R. O . B’s ROB-BLS and Bowser’s Hurricane.
Shortcut In GCN Mushroom Bridge
When racing on GCN Mushroom Bridge on the Leaf Cup, when you come out of the first tunnel stay to the right. You should see a sand pathway. Go on it instead of following the track. When you drop off the path turn right & you’ll be at the item boxes. (Powerslide off the path & you will still get a mini turbo boost when you land. ).
How To Get The Blue Stuff
Get behind someone, you should see some blue stuff, keep doing this and you should become faster.
Remove Squid Ink
If you get inked look at the touch screen and look @ the map.
Win Races Easily
If you need to win a race, the perfect kart is the Dry Bomber. It has extremely high acceleration, and if you powerslide, the boost will be the same as a Mushroom!!! Also, just as CheatMan said, heavyweights are perfect when you just feel like pushing people off-track. So, if you want a heavy-fast combo, I would suggest R.O.B with Dry Bomber. (And if you’re looking for the perfect track to be a “pushover” on, I would say that combo on Rainbow Road)
Funny Racing
Pick a big Racer such as Bowser or Donkey Kong. Put them in a little kart such as Toad’s Mushroom or Yoshi’s Egg. You can only do this after you beat the entire game.
Squid Ink
Don’t you just go “Noooo! Awwwwwwwww man.” when that squid squirts ink on you screen? I have three ways to help you when that happens. (1) you could look through the little cracks on your screen. (2) you could (I don’t know if it works) blow through the MIC to make the ink go away faster(I’ve tried it before and it looks like it came on a little quicker). (3) use a one,two or three mushrooms, a power slide, or rainbow panel (makes you go faster).
How To Dodge A Red Shell
When it’s right behind you, turn.
To Dodge The Spiny (blue) Shell
To dodge a blue shell, you need at least a single mushroom. Wait until it catches up to you, and at the second it is about to hit you, use it. Since the blast radius is wide, you might still get hit by it.
Play As Shy Guy
Play a Download Play game against another playerto have the option to play as Shy Guy. Note: ShyGuy can only be used Download Play mode.
How To Powerslide Boost
While going around a turn, press & hold the “R” button, while doing so, press left and right. Sparks should come out from the sides, first they will be blue then red. Do not let go until sparks are red or when ready. Note-It will not work if you do not wait for red sparks or if you do not wait long enough. Also, you can let go of the “R” button or the direction of the button your pointing (left or right).
Character Effects
Characters only affect weight. You can tellroughly how much weight they add by theirappearance. For example, Bowser is heavy while DryBones is light.
Getting Coins Back
In the unlockable mission of level 4, you mustcollect 50 coins while staying away from King Boo(ghost). Sometimes he will come up to you and takesome of your coins. To get them back, go up behindhim and run into him.
Recommended Player And Kart Combination
Use R.O.B. and R.O.B. LGS. The heavy weight willhelp knock people off the track while their highspeed will help you get past your opponents andgain the lead at the last stretch of the race.Use Dry Bones for the Lightning Cup on 150cc mode.He has a low weight. Use The Banisher forsurprisingly high speed.
Trap Placement
Always use your items strategically. Use them toblock others and place them where players do nothave enough time to react, such as in a turn or atthe bottom of a hill.
Blue Shockwave
When a Blue Shell hits first, try to get a BlueShell slipstream to first and shoot it. If theBlue Shells hit at the same time, it will create ashockwave that lasts three to five seconds.
Lighting Bolt
On the Wario Stadium, Royal Raceway or DK JungleParkway tracks, use a lightning bolt just beforesomeone reaches the jump. They should fall off thejump, costing them time. Do not use it when theyare on the turbo pads because it will not affectthem.
Alternate Mario Dialogue
When you first start and the screen is black witha red Nintendo logo on it, Mario says “Yahoo!” onthe original Nintendo DS. However, on the DS Litehe says “Here we go!”
Save Time With Sandy Pits
On any sandy pit on a curve that would normallyslow you down, use a mushroom to cross over it.
Credits Skip
When your at the credits just hold select then hit start.
Cheats
