You're Engaged, Now What? After the excitement wears off a bit, it's time to organize and plan your dream Hudson Valley wedding. It's not small task, but in today's modern age ... you got this! Starting online is good place to start. Today's modern bride has so many resources available at her fingertips, and most are FREE. You'll take free! Sites such as The Knot, Weddingwire, Mywedding.com, and Borrowed&Blue are the top online resources for couples planning a Hudson Valley at the moment. But before signing up on any site, create a special wedding email. Pick something easy and yet memorable. For example, you may use your first name, your fiance first name and your official wedding date. That way your personal or work emails won't get bombarded with wedding emails and important wedding emails won't get lost in your personal and work in-boxes. The sites I mentioned above are designed to help you with everything wedding related, from soup to nuts. Next on the list is attend a bridal show or two; any more that would be overkill unless you enjoy going to bridal shows. There are many advantages and disadvantages to starting your Hudson Valley wedding planning at a bridal show. One of the biggest advantages of attending a bridal show is you get to see the inside of wedding venue. You may consider attending a show at a venue you have some interest in, that way you see the venue in action during a large event, you often get to sample food, and observe butler service or wait staff. The venues also will have key staff on hand to share information and give impromptu tours. The added bonus is the venue will invite the key wedding professionals you will need for your Hudson Valley wedding. Just a word of caution where this is concerned.
