#JackedKirby - Devilance the Pursuer!!! 💥💥💥 I was speaking to my main man @sjamesjr1 from Germany (by way of Jamaica!) this morning and i asked him for a character to post... he said “give me a more obscure 4th World character because I want to know more about those books”. Ask and you shall receive!!! 💥💥💥 Devilance the Pursuer popped up in Forever People #Issue11 (August of 1972) which also happened to be the last issue of the series to see print... sad but true. But Devilance was a great villain to go out with! 💥💥💥 Devilance is a minion of Darkseid, his specialty being his unique ability to hunt down anyone he chooses... or is told to hunt down by Darkseid! He is godlike with powers that include the ability to change his density, immunity and super strength. But it’s his weapon that is the coolest of them all! 💥💥💥 Check out his power lance (pic 3), a deadly weapon that has many uses! It enables him to fly when he is holding it, Fire energy blasts and even has circuitry used for pursuing his prey. 💥💥💥 The character himself is bombastic in the typical Kirby ways... crazy headgear, larger than life features and that crazy lance of death (pic 2)! Kirby introduces him right off the bat in this issues 2nd/3rd pages in a double slash (pic 1)that is just madness. The character was basically retired until he popped back up in the fan favorite mid 2000s series 52. He tries to stop the team of Animal Man, Starfire and Atom... and in true Kirby fashion he is larger than life!
