Today, continues to bring forth incredible news as the first quarter toy catalog for the next Super Sentai, Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger has surfaced online. The new series was originally rumored to be a “dragon knight” themed series, where in actuality it turns out to be another dinosaur team. This is the fastest period in which Toei has returned to using dinosaurs since Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger aired six years ago. The difference in time between Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and Bakaryuu Sentai Abaranger was a decade, whereas Abaranger to Kyoryuger was eight years. Nevertheless let’s begin to take a look at the 44th Sentai team’s arsenal and merchandise!

  The 44th Team!

  Now, as stated in the introduction the Ryusougers have a dinosaur motif, and they are similar to their predecessors the Kyoryugers. The team itself will begin consisting of five members: RyusouRed, RyusouBlue, RyusouBlack, RyusouGreen, and RyusouPink.

  Putting the Soul into Ryusouger!

To transform the Ryusougers will utilize the Ryusou Changer, a wrist changer, and the Ryusouls, the series collectible gimmick. The RyuSouls will be able to work with the changer, the weapons, and the mecha. When the RyuSouls are not in use, or needing to be switched out the team can store/exchange them via the Ryusou Buckle, which can store up to three RyuSouls. Currently, the team’s only confirmed weapon is the Ryusou Sword.

Wham! Bam! It’s the Dino Jam!

The Ryusougers mecha are called the Kishiryu (Dino Knights). RysuoRed mecha, Kishiryu-Oh is a standalone mecha similar to Ryuseioh or Go-Buster Ace. It will also feature the ability to combine with the other mechas using a LEGO-like block building system. When combining Blue’s Triken and Pink’s Ankiroze, Kishiryu-Oh become Kishiryu-Oh 3 Knights. However, when combining with either Green’s TigerLance or Black’s MilNeedle they will act as auxiliary limbs and weapons in conjunction to Kishiryu-Oh 3 Knights rather than entirely swapping them out. The combination between Kishiryu-Oh and TigerLance is called Kishiryu-Oh TigerLance. Whereas, MilNeedle allows the mecha to become Kishiryu-Oh MilNeedle.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger will premiere in Spring 2019, replacing Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Sentai Patranger.
