Hear me out: granny kita has a photo (a faded poloroid) of Kita Shinsuke, aged 3 wearing a burlap rice sak as a onesie after he helped her garden. His clothes though, a jumper and red shirt is on the clothesline on the distance.

No one else knows the picture exists except for when Kita brings you home for the first time after graduation day mentioning he is ready to finally, finally out your relationship to his family. You have been groaning and sobbing for the past couple of hours. Yes, it was the time. The curse time of the month when you felt like you have been punched a bazillion times down there.

But not today apparently. You still sobbing non-stop and scream here and there, the pain was too much. Too much and it tortures him to see someone that he lo—whoa there—to see someone that he cares wailing in misery.

He searched through the internet, asking on the group chat in case that Aran or Akagi knows about what to do (since both of them are soft too and they knew shit about taking care of their girlfriend)

"Distract him with some food, Shinsuke." He called his grandmother, in hope that maybe she could help, "Cook is the best comfort, and I know that she loves anything that you made."

So he left you for maybe half an hour. He was sweating and peeking at you who wrapped yourself with his jacket, saddening him to see you like this.

Once he was done with the food, he immediately cradled you to his embrace with comfort food on his hand. Your eyes lit up immediately as he feeds you up gently.

Just like what his grandmother said, you calmed down immediately. Eyes brimming with happy tears now as you swallowed down the tasty food. You sobbed hard and wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your face on his shoulder.

"You are the best, Shin! The best boyfriend ever!" You could even emit words now, "I wuff you much, I love you so much, you are the best..."

He didn't know what to say. It was the first time you ever said the L word to him. And he was actually worried that you said that only in a spur of the moment. But then again, he didn't care anymore, he needed to say what inside his heart,

"I love you too." He kissed your forehead gently, making you giggle, "Now let's take a rest, shall we?"
