Renovations For Perth Based Home Owners
Renovating your house is a great way to improve the comfort of your living spaces, update dated property features, accommodate growing families and adapt to changing life stages. It’s also a valuable investment that can add to your property’s value.
Renovating a home can be a daunting task without professional help. Having a builder who takes care of everything from design to project completion helps to minimise the stress and uncertainty of renovations.
Kitchen Renovations
Kitchen Perth based renovations can be a daunting project to undertake in your home. It’s not just about choosing pretty finishes, but removing your existing kitchen correctly, discarding the rubble, installing new cabinetry, flooring, splash backs and bench tops, as well as organising electrical and plumbing work.
Once a room for the cooks of the family, today the kitchen has become the centre of the household – it’s where we gather to celebrate and commiserate, as well as put wholesome food on the table.
Whether you want to add a touch of luxury, or keep it simple and practical, our experienced team will work with you to design your dream kitchen. We can help you stay within your budget, too. We take into account your must-haves, as well as how you use your kitchen and what kind of atmosphere you like in it. We then prioritise eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient appliances to ensure your kitchen is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Bathroom Renovations
If you’re thinking about renovating your bathroom, it’s important to find a renovation company that has the right experience. Checking their credentials is essential, and you should also read reviews to get an idea of what other clients have experienced.
Smart Style Bathrooms in Perth prioritise client relationships and construction quality, using 3D design technology to approve each detail before starting work. Their team will visit your home to discuss options and create a bathroom renovation process that fits within your budget.
They have a comprehensive showroom with various products, so you can see how the finished product will look before committing to the project. They’ll also help you choose the best materials for your renovation, including wall panels. These can provide a similar look to tiles but are more practical, waterproof, and less expensive. Ross’s Discount Home Centre has a wide selection of wall panels in different colours and styles, so you can find the perfect option for your bathroom.
Laundry Renovations
A well-designed laundry can turn a chore into a more enjoyable activity. Laundry renovations can be as simple as installing a new cabinet for your broom and ironing board or it could involve an entire rebuild of the laundry to maximize space and create the perfect layout.
We are now seeing a trend in Perth where clients want to incorporate a European style laundry set up. This is a great way to get extra storage and a butler sink that looks amazing!
Whether you’re planning on doing a full house renovation or just adding a few improvements to your home, it’s important to hire the right contractor. A licensed professional will help you determine what your budget should be and will also ensure that the work complies with building codes, town planning requirements, and local building laws. They will also help you choose the best materials, appliances, and fixtures for your needs. A good renovation company will also offer you a free design consultation and can handle all the paperwork.
Exterior Renovations
A well-designed alfresco area is the pinnacle of entertaining luxury, especially in Perth’s warm climate. A professional renovation design company can create an outdoor kitchen, a shady BBQ patio or a full-scale pergola for you to enjoy all year round.
Minor house exterior renovations are primarily for cosmetic purposes, and are often completed along with a whole-home renovation. They can include modernising paving materials or rendering over areas of exposed brick. Another popular request is to transform tired garden beds with fresh mulch and a smarter colour scheme.
Keeping up with gardening tasks is a great way to reduce your environmental footprint and improve your home’s appearance. Pruning overgrown plants and trees, weeding and mowing your lawn are all easy DIY projects that can be done by yourself or the kids. If you’re keen on growing your own vegetables, try a veggie patch so the family can learn about nutrition and take control of their health.

What is the working technique and benefit of a double sink bench?
Dishwasher bars and dual inlet or double sink benches are among the most utilised products in industrial pantries worldwide. The primary purpose of these appliances is to take care of the basic cleaning & maintenance requirements of every cuisine preparation establishment. This machine also adds beauty and elegance to your kitchen & enables you to manage your work in a more accessible and effortless manner.
Only a few fields of business possess the necessary grit, dedication & commitment required to conduct proceedings smoothly in the catering & hospitality field. This lack of the above attributes results in income-generating aspirations increasing in the smoke of a tiny error or misunderstanding in the kitchen. Therefore, it is essential to enable better management of resources, which is possible with special equipment such as stainless steel benches with dual basins.
If you want similar high-quality appliances, give our Wall Mounted and Over Shelves a chance. For further details, contact us by visiting the Simco page.
Tumblr media
Working Process of a Double Sink Bench
The work process of the equipment with a dual basin is very straightforward & these appliances are an essential element of commercial food preparation. In a typical bar, two bowls are placed side-by-side that are also similarly sized. Use this model to put utensils on the side without the garbage disposal unit. You can clear pots, pans and other utensils whenever you wish. You have to dispose of the food on the side with the garbage disposal, keep the dishes to be washed on the counter and put water and soap on the other side. You can enjoy the dual advantages of soaking and washing the pots & pans on one side using water and rinsing them on the other side after the washing is done by adopting this method. If you want this equipment, search for the double sink benches supplier in Sydney & Brisbane.
Advantages of Double Sink Stainless Steel Benches
Creates Extra Space on the Counter
The steel products with dual basins prove highly useful for food establishment owners who want to manage more space on kitchen counters. Typically, with items related to food ingredients, storage and decor fill the cuisine preparation counter space. This equipment is perfect for you if you can identify your kitchen through the description. The basin allows you to avoid the counter to keep the drying rack and put it on the bay. It does not need counter space & helps you to wash & dry the dishes and bowl simultaneously.
Installation is Effortless & Easy
If you want hassle-free installation, the dual basin models help you achieve that. These machines consist of two drains that need a connection to each other. The only major issue while installing the device is that only one side of the machine has the garbage disposal feature. Additionally, most of the technicians struggle with faucet placement. It is a challenging component for dual basins because if you use both sides of the product for washing, it needs to be located to fill both units. However, these issues get sorted if you contact any kitchen equipment dealer who supplies double sink benches to Melbourne & Perth.

Tumblr media
No Problem in Maintaining the Appliance
Maintaining some popular covers, such as solid surfaces or copper, is arduous as they show wear and tear with increased use. However, it is significantly easy to maintain double sink items, which does not take much effort. If you want your appliance to provide service for years ahead, try to wipe it frequently with soap and water.
Process of Cleaning a Double Sink Bench
Stainless steel is a material that is perceived to be long-lasting & it can serve you effectively for an extended period. However, it still needs good cleaning & maintenance. The staff must clean the top-quality steel double sink benches frequently to ensure proper hygiene and no build-up of traces of rust or corrosion on its upper surface. The stainless steel surface is comprehensively safeguarded from rust with the help of chromium oxide’s thin layer peppered on its surface. The employees in a kitchen can clean the upper part by washing it with hot water and a good detergent. Combine these two materials and use the resultant mixture to clean the surface. Also, make sure to wipe it properly. The inability to clean the steel surface precisely leads to the formation of streaks on the surface. Therefore, see to it that you properly wipe the surface. If you want that your appliance shines majestically and give a spotless look, you can also wipe the steel surface using pure white or cider vinegar.
Tumblr media
Simco also has a fantastic collection of other benches. For instance, if you wish to browse the products of Stainless Steel Benches with Splashback, visit us at Simco’s official website.

Tiles Varieties - Find Out the Advantages and Disadvantages of Different Tiles
Tiles come in many shapes and sizes. The can be used for the floor, for walls, in the kitchen for things like benches and splash backs, even for roofs. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and textures. No matter what the need there will be a tile for the job. But how do you know which tile is the right time for the job? Read on to learn about the different types of tiles in Melbourne their advantages and disadvantages and what they are commonly used for.
Ceramic
Let's start with the most common tile that everyone will be familiar with. Ceramic tiles Perth are usually seen and used in bathrooms and showers. They are very hard, waterproof and easy to clean and in Melbourne can be purchased for as little as $30 per square meter.
Within the ceramic tile range, there are tiles that are made for walls and there are tiles that are made for floors. Wall tiles nearly always have a gloss (shiny) finish and are thinner and lighter than floor tiles. This allows for easier installation.
Ceramic tiles are a great all-purpose tile. They resist water can withstand very high heat and are relatively easy to install. Be careful though because ceramic tiles are very brittle so if you drop them or drop something very hard on to them they can crack and even shatter.
Ceramic tiles are installed on top of a tile adhesive with a small gap in between each tile. The gap is then filled with a tile grout that can come in various colors but it usually white. These tiles also come in a variety of sizes. Everything from a small 100mm x 100mm square tile, to a large 600mm x 600mm square tile. There is a wide range of sizes in between these to suit your needs and give the right look. They also come as rectangle sizes like 100mm x 200mm.
Stone
Stone tiles are very similar to ceramic tiles except they are made from natural stone rather than 'manufactured'. Stone tiles are usually very heavy, very strong and also able to withstand a lot of punishment and traffic. They can be made from marble, slate, sandstone, travertine and various other natural stones.
They either come in a natural finish or a machined finish. A machined finish means the top of the tile has been cut back to give a flat surface in the same way that ceramic tiles are flat. A natural finish means the top of the tiles has only been roughly cut and they will have natural dips, grooves, and bumps. Which ones you use comes down to personal choice and the look you are going for. Both can be very beautiful and effective.
Unlike ceramic tiles, stone tiles absorb water. This means they will not be as slippery when wet, but also means they need to be sealed to prevent stains. If you spill some red wine on a stone tile that has not been sealed -- it will be there forever.
Stone tiles Melbourne are more expensive than ceramic tiles and therefore are not as common. Because they are more expensive and not as common, stone tiles can really stand out and have an impact on the look of your house. They will also add value to your house if you are looking to sell - especially in the competitive Melbourne market.

The sound of birds chirping, the wind rustling through the tall grass and the camp fire crackling away as the sun hides away behind the towering mountains im front of us. Shades of purple, red and yellow take over from the normal red, green and blue that make up the scene. I relax into a camp chair as twilight starts to take over. Indi is editing photos while Noems takes charge of dinner. Despite many attempts at offering help, we were both benched from kitchen duties. Another day of adventure comes to a close and the contentment sets in alongside the anticipation of what tomorrow may hold

Worth the wakeup knock on the car at 4am in the freezing cold
Worth the bitter windchills knocking our balance on the slippery rocky path up in the dark
Worth racing the sun to the top of the mountain
Worth choosing between having my fingers warm or my camera in my hand
Worth struggling to see by the light of a phone torch
Worth not feeling my fingers for two hours
Worth it for the golden yellow and blue light peeling over the horizon
Worth it for the feeling of being awake and alive before the sun is up
Worth it for the view of the cliffs side
Worth it for seeing the wind blasting trees
Worth it for the view from the top
Worth it for the oranges on the way down
Worth it for the tunes and singalongs
Worth it for the smoked salmon croissants
Worth it for the snacks and the beers in the carpark

An observation about all the people you see on social media who you idolize in some capacity: when you meet them in real life, no matter how much idolization or importance you think they carry, when you meet them in person, they all still behave like normal people

I’ve completely left behind my old way of life.
I’ve forgotten what its like to go to a bar.
To dress cool.
To think about what im wearing.
To think about impressing people.
To think about who to see.
To think about what event to choose from.
I’ve forgotten what its like to look up at tall buildings.
To see lots of concrete.
To walk past unfamiliar faces that dont smile when you walk past them.
To order coffee in a takeaway cup.
To eat nice food.
To see my friends at pica bar for drinks at the last minute plan
-
There came a time about two months in where i began to get over it all.
Doing dishes with a water bottle and a tea towel that smelt like smoke. Sitting in the drivers seat on your phone, tired because you dont want to have to brush your teeth with a water bottle and climb like a contortionist into your car’s bed every night. Sick of having to plan when i want to take a shit. Sick of having to set up and pack down my kitchen every time i want a coffee or some lunch.
Sick of not having anywhere to be but knowing im in one of the most beautiful places in the world and feeling a burning pressure to see it all. Sick of having to buy ice every two days
Sick of emptying water from my esky
Sick of laundromats and planning how long I’ll last on a single outfit
Sick of worrying if im spending too much time sitting in the cafe
Sick of being the tag along in everybody else’s group of mates
Sick of drinking beer every shift
-
As time goes by, you learn the intricacies of a place. Where all the rocks are on the track to the camp. Who in the carpark not to wave at and who to have a chat to. Where and when to be to get a free drink. How to steal a shower. When

More and more i find while living out of my car thst routine is important. Something to ground you. For me, its making coffee out of the car, no matter how inconvenient it is. Before inevitably giving up and buying an oat flatty at soso. - talk more about habits

Some things that dont grow old:
Seeing the surf going off
Seeing familiar faces out and about
Turtles next to you in the water
Whales breaching in the distance
The moon rising over the ocean or the ranges
The sky full of stars when the moon doesn’t shine
The sun and the warmth no matter the season
Town beach hangs with good crew
The feeling of a shower after a few days of salt water
The people at work
The chats at work
Free beer at work
The life in the oceans
The vibe of fun
Never knowing where you’re gonna end up after you wake up
-
Whatd you see when you nearly died?
A big pair of tittys and a snickers bar
-
The moon rises in front of me for the third night in a row. I watch it from my car, a leftover slice of pizza from work in one hand and my phone in the other. Im one of the very few people lucky enough to witness this insanely beautiful sight and yet it feels in this moment it feels unextraordinary. How spoilt with wonder must you be for this to feel normal. The same goes for this whole place. This is paradise and right now this is home. This is standard. Only when I get back to Perth and am able to look back with the 20/20 vision that is hindsight and realize just how special it all was.
-
I wish I was more conscious at the hour of 6am, snug in my bed, parked in the bush as the sun rises over the bay in front of me. An explosion of pink and gold dominates the sky, shining through the bushes and the trees around me. The sound of the waves crashing behind the birds chirping. An easterly wind rustles lightly through the trees. I’m so sure it’s beautiful. If only I was awake to take it all in.
Instead, i roll over and try and escape the golden light for a minute or two more.

A happy change of plans
Like all good road trips, this one started out with unfortunate circumstance, poor planning and a significant lack of caution. We planned for months to leave WA and drive across the nullabor, up through NSW and into QLD and at the 11th hour, three days before we were due to leave, we find out that covid has closed the borders. Again.
So with a house I had already moved out of, a plan in shambles on behalf of a big bad virus, and a car all prepped and ready to leave, we did the only reasonable thing to do. Changed course by a few thousand km’s and headed north with no idea what we would do, where we would sleep, what we would eat, where we would stay, who we would hang with and where we would surf.
Our first day saw lots of last minute preparations, plenty of driving to all manner of songs and podcasts from everything to the worlds dumbest grifters to Australian alcoholics talking about orgasms. I shut the door on 25 Chatham Road for the last time. We drove through familiar and unfamiliar roads. Memories of standing on the side of these very roads ripe in my mind. Except this time, with my whole life in the backseat of the car, in a setup Reubs and I built. Hell of an upgrade from a backpack and a thumb. After hours of rolling green hills, that resembled what I imagine new zealand to look like we parked up on the side of the road. Very true to form. We set up the tent, brushed our teeth and had dinner in the form of a banana and a beer and then got to bed as the sun set. I woke up at 25 Chatham and now I find myself falling asleep somewhere between Northampton and Kalbarri in my car.

Squeezing kenny
Cooking in car parks
Paying for wifi and toilets with beer or hot chocolates
Surfing. All day
Chatting shit
Brownies
Staring at the stars
Dunes
Eating brownies, chatting shit and staring at the stars under the shade at dunes.
Hunters
Making new friends everywhere
Chatting to literally everyone
Having nowhere to be and never thinking about home
Telling Tony to get fucked
Surfing bombie and paddling back in twilight glassy waters
Dinners and laughs with friends in the whalebone carpark
Breaking into RAC for a shower
Coffee dates at soso
Waking up to ben packing a tent
Laughing till my ribs hurt
Tonic water with lime
No internet for weeks
Chatting to esther and alice at dunes
Staring at groms wiping out
Carpark hangs
Never having an empty passenger seat
Never being able to see out the rear view mirror
Never being alone
Cooking in the carpark opposite the cop shop
Drying shit on the car every time we parked
Listening to lots of nothing a million times
Chaos at froth consisting of surprise drinks, random chats and boats
-
And the curtain closes.
On two months and nine days of nonstop adventure and fun. Unpredictable, unprecedented fun. The people you met were of a caliber I’d not encountered and never considered to be my own but from the get go and proved time and time again over the course of my time up north, they were.
I dont know how I’m going to fare when I get off this plane in two hours and have to see my parents, exist in cold weather, deal with a broken car, find a place to call home, figure out a new job and find my way with my friends who I can never be the same with after this.
The wheels are up. Fleeting views of the ningaloo coast and the cape range out each side of the planes window; a farewell of what I’m going to be missing. The red dirt and wildflowers underneath us where I’ve spent most of my nights sleeping look exactly as they always are. Untouched and still. I know I’ll be back soon. I’ve got so much more to see. So many more people left to meet. So many more memories left to make. So many more waves left to surf. So many more beers left to pour. So many more sunsets left to see.
Exmouth, for two months you sure have changed me.
-
Tiger,
I dont know your history brother but if i had to take a look into your past im guessing id see a lot of pain, chaos, missing love and bad mates who dont know that they’re bad.
You’re a good dude man im so fuckin sure of it but you seem so hell bent on starting a fight and proving a point. To whom i dont know. Your break up has obviously destroyed you and your coping mechanism is alcohol and trying to get with women. You’re incredibly kind and generous to your friends and a fierce antagonist to anyone who isn’t. You need help and you know it but you dont know how to find it or who to ask.
The hardest thing about you is that you need to change your whole view of life. Theres more than you think to it. I know there’s someone in there waiting to be found. I wanna be the guy holding the torch while you search.
You’re a good guy,
I dont wanna see you get killed by some drunk in a fight or waste yourself away in a bottle and a job you hate because you didn’t know there was another option.

More Is More, On The Floor!
More Is More, On The Floor!
Interiors

This home in Melbourne utilises distinctive timber blocks on the floor, for a tile-like effect. Architecture – Bayley Ward, interiors and styling – Larritt-Evans, Photo – Eve Wilson.
Lately I have noticed a revival of patterned floors in interiors, and I am here for it! Over the past ten years in Australia, we’ve been drawn to quite plain blonde timber, or dark timber floors that lean towards a Scandinavian aesthetic. But more recently, we seem to be moving away from minimalist spaces and into more expressive and individual designs. And that includes the floor!
Don’t get me wrong, perfectly smooth wood or concrete floors will never go out of style… but it’s also well worth exploring different flooring materials, to bring more variety into the home, and inject real personality into any space.
We’re now open to something more textured and characterful on the floor. Using a patterned floor can instantly conjure an atmosphere; the rustic handmade terracotta tiles of a charming country homestead, to the romance of an Italian loggia with a well-worn checkerboard marble tile. A flooring selection alone can evoke any feeling that you want to in a space.
Of course, patterned floors are anything but new. From the mosaics of ancient Mesopotamia to the oak Parquet de Versailles; we’ve long held traditions of embellishing the floor beneath us. But, we must ensure we select a floor that is not just #trending in this moment – flooring is a permanent element in an interior, and not something that is quick to swap out.
Flooring can have a huge impact the way a space looks and feels, but it also has an important function. It needs to be durable, and suit the usage of the room and the lifestyle of the occupants, so material selection is key.
But don’t be dissuaded! If you’re looking to create more than just a beautiful space, but create an atmosphere too – then injecting some character into the floor is a guaranteed way to do it!

Colour Blocking
Colour blocking your flooring allows you to delineate zones within a room, without partitions or barriers. Varying the flooring in this way creates a feature in the space, but it can also be very functional, allowing hard wearing materials such as a tiles to be used where needed (entryway or kitchen), giving way to softer flooring in less high traffic areas.
In Vokes and Peters Subiaco house, and also their Byron Bay house (both pictured above), the delineation of the flooring creates interest, and marks out zones in these richly detailed interiors. Meanwhile in the stunning Melbourne home pictured above, interior designer Claire Larritt Evans has used timber endgrain flooring  under the dining area, to soften an otherwise concrete floor, and add warmth to the dining area.

Is there a more classic floor than the black and white check? This timeless pattern is contantly re-energised in this kitchen by F3 Studio. Used against concrete, timber and black stone, it delivers the perfect combination of ‘timeless’ and ‘now’. Photo – Damien Kook.
Pattern
Using a pattern on the floor gives a space movement, creates excitement and interest and never fails to result in an amazing space! There are patterns out there for everyone; from conservative checkerboard, or a subtle change in texture on a tile; to a custom designed cement tile and just about everything in between.
A floor tile with a pattern really can transform a space from ‘nice’ to ‘WOW’, and make any space come alive. The patterned floor is the main event, taking the pressure off the furnishings to create an atmosphere.

For a more accessible option than custom terrazzo flooring, consider the variety of polished concrete floors now available. Terrazzo
To say that terrazzo has had a comeback is the interior design understatement of the decade. Whilst we may have grown up seeing terrazzo floors in our favourite pizza place on Lygon Street, in recent years we’ve seen it everywhere, from handcrafted ceramics to bespoke kitchen bench tops. This composite material made of marble, quartz, granite and glass chips is used in furniture, décor objects and of course, floors.
There is a long history of terrazzo that can be traced back to the ancient mosaics of Egypt, and later Italy, where it gained popularity in Venice around 1500-1600. Unbelievably, it was originally a low-cost flooring material, consisting of clay and discarded marble chips.
Today, Terrazzo flooring is an artisanal finish usually consisting of a concrete or epoxy-resin base, and suspended shards of stone, glass, mosaic tiles and other decorative details.
Custom terrazzo requires a specialized tradesperson and is a highly bespoke floor treatment – however there are many ways to get a similar look. If custom terrazzo is out of reach, consider a polished concrete floor, which can be tinted in almost any colour, and embellished to resemble terrazzo. Terrazzo tiles are another great option – try Signorino or Fibonaci in Melbourne for a great range of terrazzo tiles.

Texture
Character isn’t just about adding colour and pattern – texture lends so much to a space, and especially when it’s underfoot.
We’re seeing a lot of brick flooring, terracotta tiles and earthy, antique-style tiled floors in Australian interiors right now. Some great examples include Emma Lane’s spectacular home in the Byron Bay hinterland, and Georgia Ezra’s stunning Melbourne home, featuring the designers own signature tile range.
Another fabulous floor treatment is an internal ‘crazy paving’ look, utilising stone or slate pavers inside the home. This treatment has become a hallmark of Melbourne interior design studio Studio Esteta, and is executed perfectly in their Portsea beach house project, and also, Via Porta deli and cafe.
When it comes to bringing texture into the home in this way, the main thing to remember it to embrace irregularities and imperfections. We want to see and feel real materials in the home, and it doesn’t matter if they are not perfect.

What are the considerations while buying a square glass cake display?
Tumblr media
Installing a square glass cake display can provide an unforeseen fillip to your struggling food service organisation. You can always find a utility for such an item if the establishment you own is a bakery or cafeteria where the option of promotions through showcasing is open. However, one needs to choose the best product to garner the highest return on investment. You need to plan adequately and execute the strategies efficiently to buy yourself a coveted piece of equipment. In this blog, we have described a few helpful ways to decide for yourself which cake display is better for you.
We offer a lot of features in our offerings. One of our necessary products, if you are a bakery or cafe chain, is the Curved Glass Cake Display, which has excellent beautification features and a host of other attributes. You must go to the Simco website for more information.
Find a Suitable Location to Place the Display
Tumblr media
One of the pertinent points to be considered before buying the machine is to find a suitable place for it to be showcased. There could be various options, such as near your shop window, where the product can earn adulation from patrons and attract even a stranger. The item could also be placed directly from the entry gate to tempt the patrons to buy something. If you have the required space, you might also put the equipment in the middle of your benches and tables for quick customer access. You can also consult the square glass cake display supplier in Sydney who has sold & supplied the item to you.
In addition to your preferences, ensure to take the lighting factor into account. While proper lighting is necessary, and you should go for a showcase with LED brightness, decide on it only after considering the present lighting scenario of your store. If needed, you might try to ensure better visibility by adding a few new lights in the shop.
Finalise the Relevant Cake Showcase Style
Tumblr media
Once you finalise the product details, you need to contemplate the style of the desired equipment. The two popular variants available in the market are curved and square glass cake display. Both these options have their share of advantages and drawbacks. The primary disadvantage of the curved variant is that it gives you less space irrespective of its appearance, which looks more accommodating than the square model. In addition, the width area will be much less on the top of the curved unit and might not be suitable for usage.
https://simcocateringequipment.blogspot.com/2020/11/5-tips-for-buying-square-glass-cake.html
In contrast, a square showcase provides more showcasing space, and the depth on top would be the same as the flat version. A combination of a full-sized bakery showcase and a compact benchtop version might also work for you. You can check the kitchen space and your particular needs to buy a hybrid version of both styles if you wish to purchase more than one product.
Get Hold of a Trusted Seller and Supplier
Tumblr media
Only a reliable kitchen equipment seller must be your source to buy premium products for your kitchen. You can search the web pages for the top square glass cake display suppliers in Perth and check whether their collection is comprehensive and diverse enough to include the cake showcases. Check whether they have registered technicians working to provide support and service throughout the country. In addition, choose a seller who gives the most additional warranty on their offerings. If all the technical aspects look strong, the final verification should include checking the online reviews, recommendations and testimonials to know their reputation and finalising them once they are satisfied.
Ensure Buying the Most Durable & High-Quality Product
When you are thinking about buying a display case, ensure spending your hard-earned money only on a high-quality product that can last longer and does not require much maintenance and upkeep to provide you with the top level of facilities. Don't miss verifying the design of the hardened glass and the item frame. However, one thing you mustn't skip verifying while buying the case is the appliance's compressor. The machine must have an effective, reliable & branded compressor, and one should not purchase local compressors. You should also check that the product gives an optimal performance with minimum power and must be MEPS approved.
Besides the items mentioned in this content, Simco has many other products. One such device is the Soup Kettle, which effortlessly keeps soups at a temperature of your choice. To know more, visit our official website.
Find Additional Features of the Device
Tumblr media
Every product has some added characteristics complementing its other essential features, ensuring that it fulfils its objectives through high-class routine performance. High-end LED illumination and sliding removable doors are a few of the required elements of a deli case. Such devices also require the characteristic of automatic condensation removal. Therefore, one needs to verify whether the square glass cake display has heated glass with the abovementioned features. Also, consider if you would like a unit with castors for easy mobility.

Penshurst – A Sea Captain’s Mansion Saved from Ruin
I have a soft spot for Penshurst, the historic house I’m going to share with you today – which was actually one of my very first home tours – in fact I visited it before I’d even clicked ‘publish’ on my first blog post! (Original post here).
When I was a teenager, after school my best friend and I used to walk down to the river, swim at Bicton Baths and then we’d walk home, sometimes taking a different route to look at the beautiful houses by the river. One day in 2000 we chanced upon this huge old Victorian house, which looked much like the below at the time.
It was a wreck then, but there was something about it, sitting proudly on the hill, older than any other house around it – it had a presence. I was enthralled.
ABOVE: Penshurst in 2000.
ON TOP OF THE WORLD: A photo of the back of the house, before its renovations.
So were Tim and Frances Brien from the U.K, who first clapped eyes on Penshurst in 2001, a year after I first came across it. The Briens, who own a childcare centre, came across a newspaper ad with a drawing of what the house might have once looked like (see below).
But as they drew up to the house, they realised the drawing was not entirely accurate! Time had weathered the home so much it was a dilapidated ruin. But they were hooked – and they bought it.
ABOVE: The newspaper drawing of the house as it was advertised.
ABOVE: The house as it actually was. Would you have bought it?
PENSHURST TODAY: The Briens know the value of patience – the home took ten years to renovate, the beautiful gardens years to landscape as well. Now tall plane trees to the side of the home are accented by formal hedges and beds of lavender.
One of my favourite things about my job is getting to stickybeak inside houses I’d admired for years, and when the chance came to write about Penshurst, I jumped at it. It didn’t disappoint me – but it did disappoint its first owner. Built in 1897 for a sea captain, the limestone house, named Penshurst, was built on the highest spot in the area atop Richmond Hill, with panoramic ocean, river, city and Darling Ranges views. Absolutely spectacular views. But the story goes that the sea captain’s wife turned up to look at the house one day while it was being built, hated it on sight, turned around and drove back down the road, refusing to ever live in it.
Whether that tale is true or not, Penshurst has not seemed to have had much luck enchanting any of its owners – until the Briens came along. Before them, the house was always a rental. Its previous owners included a WA premier and a man who had spent 20 months at a German prisoner-of-war camp in WWI (both who never resided there) and in 1941 the house was even divided into four rental flats. “We were the first owners who actually lived in it,” laughs Tim.
When the Briens made it theirs, the place was a ruin, falling apart from years of termite damage, vandalism and lack of maintenance. It was once even close to demolition in the 90s – how lucky it didn’t go through! “When we bought it, everyone told us we were crazy,” says Tim, who took on the daunting task of project manager – at just 28!
SEA VISTA: The ocean views beyond Penshurst.
THE MAIN SUITE: How nice to wake up to views like these every day.
TOP: The gardens then and now – not easy to landscape a limestone cliff! BELOW: Penshurst is a late Victorian house of an unconventional design, with its two multi-faceted bays at right angles to one another. According to the Heritage Council, there was no other building built to this plan configuration. The Briens added a sleek, modern living and garage extension.
ABOVE: While the Briens renovated, they had lots of visits from numerous people who had lived at Penshurst at some point during their lives. One past occupant gave them this old photo of the entrance hall and how it used to look.
ABOVE: The entrance hall today.
While the renovations at Penshurst went on, Tim said drivers constantly slowed down in the middle of the road to stare at the house, passers-by stopped to chat, and many people who have lived in the house since it was built have dropped in to share their stories and old photos.
It took renovations tallying a million dollars, but so impressive was Tim and Fran’s work, they won the 2012 Western Australian Heritage Award for Outstanding Conservation of a Residential Place. Now after more than ten years in the home, they have decided to sell; looking forward to giving another family an opportunity to enjoy the home and excited about starting the next chapter in their lives – well, except for Tim and Fran’s daughters, aged 8 and 10, who have lived at Penshurst their whole lives.
“The kids got really upset,” says Tim, adding that one of his daughters had always complained about living in an old house and claimed that when she was grown up that her house was going to be “new and modern”. Perhaps not surprisingly, she’s now devastated that they are leaving and has taken it into her own hands to try to make Tim’s real estate agent, the lovely Toby Astill of Space Real Estate, miserable every time he comes over. “She hates Toby, and the poor man hasn’t done anything wrong,” laughs Tim.
But could they really leave, after the excitement of living through what may be one of Perth’s most dramatic home renovations? Tim says it is likely they will find another project. I look forward to seeing the next one.
FANCY A DIP? The Briens beat hot Australian summers with their pool, swimming against a backdrop of river and ocean views.
NOT A BAD VIEW: This house is as lovely inside as you might imagine a house called Penshurst would be. I’ve always wanted to live in a house with a fancy name so I can say pompous-sounding things like, “We spent summers at Killarney” or “during my childhood at Windmere”. I did give my house a name when I bought it but The Crap Shack is not quite the same.
VIEWS TO DIE FOR: Perched high on Richmond Hill, the home’s river, city and ocean views took my breath away. According to the Heritage Council of Western Australia, Penshurst was built in the colonial era when the merchants of Fremantle actually preferred to settle closer to the heart of town – just on the outskirts in the terraces of East and South Fremantle. While East and South Fremantle ask for a pretty penny these days, it’s views like these that fetch premium prices in Perth.
OLD AND NEW: The home lets Francis and Brien indulge their love of the traditional and the modern. The older part of the home has been decorated in a classic style, with numerous antiques. Clean lines and modern and retro pieces reign in the contemporary open-plan living.
THE MUSIC ROOM: Adjoining the formal lounge is a music room, with an old telescope for watching boats come down the river.
THE MODERN EXTENSION: Frameless glass bi-fold doors open the space up to the outdoors and make the most of the spectacular river and city views. Tim and Frances are big believers that when renovating a heritage-listed property that any new extensions should be distinguishable from the original home, as is customary in the U.K where they lived before. So they added a very modern open-plan living extension. It works perfectly, the concrete walls and zinc cassette cladding a beautiful juxtaposition against the restored tuckpointed walls of the original home.
TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY, LEFT: The restored lounge room. RIGHT: The new open-plan dining and living and the modern kitchen with CaesarStone benchtops, gloss white cabinetry and an Elica designer rangehood. The island bench is a whopping 6m long.
LEFT, THE LIBRARY: The library in the tower is a little place to get away. RIGHT: The original hall – love how thick the walls are!
