I realize that's not the point of the book but starclan had cc'd in Frecklewish and Krestleflight to Frostpaw's visions this would literally all be solved

So, i rolled for the 10% AU.

Thunderclan Survivors: Purdy, Daisy, Brightheart, Lilykit, Foxleap, Berrynose

Shadowclan Survivors: Grasskit, Stoatpaw, Tigerheart

Windclan Survivors: Sunstrike

Riverclan Survivors: Mistystar, Mothwing, Curlpaw, Perchkit

Missing: Briarlight, Krestleflight

Now, with this, i have a lot of ideas!

1) The Survivors split off to their own clans post-battle, more preoccupied with buring and mourning their dead.

Sunstrike was alone, and lost her right leg while defending the bodies. She managed to bury them, and made her way to Riverclan afterwards.

2) Mothwing and Mistystar are insanely protective of Curlpaw and Perchkit, and wen Sunstrike joins them, Mothwing is quick to try and treat her amputated leg, and the group ends up going to check on the other clans, in hope that they weren’t slaughtered.

3) Tigerheart is rather agressive, seeing Daisy while he’s out with Grasskit and Stoatpaw and immediately threatening her. He only stops after learning that she’s out looking for Briarlight and Seedkit. They end up confessing that both of their clans have been slaughtered, and the SC trio follow Daisy to the Thunderclan camp.

4) Brightheart is leading them, while taking care of Likykit and desperately trying to hold things together. She lables Berrynose her deputy, and attempts to return things to some sense of normalcy.

5) The Riverclan cats arrive at just the right time, because Foxleap got sick, and Brightheart ha only the bare minimum of medical training.

6) They all stick together, in a weird way. And in this AU, i think they find their way to the church cats. Now, is this just an excuse for me to draw the Survivors with the church cats? Yes, but also i think that everyone would end up.. getting comfortable there.

7) Relationships? They’re all pretty close, and Curlpaw and Perchkit think of Moth and Misty as their mothers. Tigerheart is like Grasskit’s big brother, and i think that Foxleap and Sunstrike end up together.

8) Most of them keep their names, but Grasskit, Perchkit, and Curlpaw change their names to Grass, Perch, and Curly, as those were their nicknames. Stoatpaw gained his warrior name, becoming Stoatfur like in canon.

9) about six moons later, Briarlight and Krestleflight were still ‘missing’, and after getting suggestions to find this group from some cats they were traveling with, they found the church. Sunstrike is so excited about them, and introduces them both to her and Foxleap’s kits, Thunder and Wind.

10) Overall, they’re happy. They miss being in a clan, and some of the cats start getting interested in their traditions, and some start asking to be trained. A lot of culture sharing happens, and they basically attend group therapy, and slowly work through everything.

dshsrh yeah idk why but when setting up what windclan members i wanted for what days for this cowboytober prompts i just ended up putting the medicats for alchihol stuff like i have barkface for a moonshine themed day later this month jksdghg

so i just went ahead and said ‘well i guess medicine cats own a saloon and pass it on when they retire/die’ also maybe they do medicine maybe they just have an alchihol there and call it a healing juice dfdfhh

What about; Harestar x Krestleflight x Jayfeather

i don’t ship harestar and jayfeather but i definitely ship bird bois, kestrel loves his boyfriends

I've done something abt Holly Jay and Lion dating outside Thunderclan (Willowshine, Heathertail, and Krestleflight respectively)

But they also all dated some form of a ghost

Hollyleaf dated Fallen Leaves a ghost who haunts the tunnels

Jayfeather dated Halfmoon when he timetraveled into the past

and Lionblaze dated Cinderheart who was also a reincarnation of Cinderpelt while she was possessed by her former self

Cinderpelt also comes from a ghost family because Poppyfrost was able to see her sister Honeyfur @ the moonpool

I’ve made a post abt all of ‘Crowfeather’s” kids having experience in the tunnels (’’’ around crowfeather bc they are mothpool kits raised by squirrleflight)

But also Jay, Lion, and Holly all dated or at least briefly had a crush on someone outside Thunderclan

Lionblaze: Obvs Heathertail who he kept sneaking out to meet in the tunnels

Hollyleaf: Willowshine when she a med cat apprentice + fallen leaves

Jayfeather: Halfmoon during time travel/ reverse reincarnation + if you see him with Krestleflight too

The thing abt riverclan that is compelling to me is that everyone falls in love with a riverclan cat and it affects the story plus we see how half clan cats in Riverclan get there

Echoes of echoes of echoes

Where mapleshade leaves her clan with her kits but they pass away -> her appledusk has kits including willownose who has shellheart who has crookedstar and oakheart

Oakheart as we know falls in love with bluestar and her kits echo mapleshade only one dying on the way over. But stonefur will die saving others for being half clan and mistystar will become leader despite leporadstar failure

But crookedstar tormented by Mapleshade overcomes her and falls in love with windclan/riverclan Willowbreeze. She dies and their only kit who survives is Silverstream who crookedstar adores and in the echo of her mom dies after giving birth to gray stripes kits stormfur and feathertail

Feathertail witnessed her clan turn against halfclan cats and is narrowly saved by before mentioned stonefur. She welcomes two new halfclan kits Hawkfrost and Mothwing who struggle under the reputation of their parent before dying to save cat who had a crush on her even if she didn’t return it.

Brook and stormfur return one day but hawkfrost fakes an omen through his sister to outcast them

Mothwing then falls in love with Leafpool who in my au has jayfeather and lionblaze but hollyleaf is crowfeather’s who did love feathertail

Not only do each of these kids date a cat not from their clan halfmoon/ krestleflight, heathertail, and willowshine respectively but the entire clan lifestyle wouldn’t have been if jayfeather hadn’t time traveled to start the clans in the first place

And poor Mothwing watches her wife die, her apprentice, and her clan mates suffer only to be banished by a fellow halfclan cat so she goes to mentor a halfclan cat who accidentally opens a portal to hell and among other things brings back mapleshade like

Love riverclan so convoluted
