Children often times made Yifan uncomfortable when they're in groups. Don't get him wrong, he likes them and all and would look to adopting one when he's older, but when they're in a hoard, usually no good is brewing. He watches uneasily over the edge of his newspaper as he sits at the bus stop, observing a seven year old boy standing on the sidewalk before him, looking innocently enough as he bounces on his toes, thumbs hooked into the straps of his backpack. There are a few others here, but no one seems to be as painfully aware of this lone child standing here as Yifan is, especially when he's pretty sure this is the leader of the gang. He casually paces, as though to appease his boredom but each time he walks nearer, he gets a little closer to a young woman whose back is turned to Yifan.

It isn't until the boy sticks his hand into her bag that he realizes the kid's pickpocketing and he stands, striding to the boy with his mouth opened to scold the kid and warn the girl but the boy had seen him first, startled and drops the wallet back into the girl's bag before darting between them, his backpack catching onto the back of her skirt and flipping it while he reaches out to grab the boy's bag but only catches cloth - and the kid disappears behind Yifan and no one had witnessed the scene and now only see the tall, Chinese man holding a young girl's skirt up. "I- uh-" He starts, dropping the skirt and stepping back, wanting to say something but he can't get a coherent sentence in his mind because this is really bad.
