He's settled in super well and has been out exploring most evenings. I offered him his first meal since I brought him home, and he made the transition from live prey to frozen/thawed seamlessly! Very proud of my handsome man
Unfortunately I lost my precious little eel, Ignis, around 3 weeks ago. To this day I don't know what caused it, despite consulting every possible resource I could access. Frequent water changes got less and less successful, and he eventually succumbed to whatever malady afflicted him. It was a blow I did not need in my still-fragile emotional state, but alas. We had four and a half excellent years together.
I am putting a pause on fish tanks for a while now, since we're still looking to move whenever the housing market calms its shit down, and moving fish tanks sucks. So! I am transitioning from water noodles to land noodles!
I've been wanting a pet snake since I was like 9, and I figured there was no one to tell me no anymore. So I threw myself into this whole idea, and behold the Noodle Palace! It is set up for a ball python. I just need isopods/springtails and heating, and it will be good to go! I'll be running it empty for around a month to get the hang of maintaining it, and will hopefully find my future long friend at a reptile show in January!
I had a lot of fun setting this up :3 Vision tank with The Bio Dude's ball python bioactive kit.
