Happy belated birthday @kyliejenner! I hope that you've been loving being twenty so far. 🎂✨ I sometimes take longer than I should to sort through and open up personal packages that I purchase for myself. A lovely baby pink box from @kyliecosmetics arrived exactly a week ago. I am still bummed that I missed out on getting the Birthday Collection: Limited Edition Bedazzled Candy K Matte Liquid Lipstick on both release days (sold out within 5 minutes according to my clock). I am really glad that the other half of my order was available and I now have this Birthday Collection: Matte Liquid Lipstick Mini Kit. This is my first purchase from this product line. Beauty Highlights: Week of 1/8/17

Since it’s her release of the “Royal Peach Palette,” my highlight this week is on her Dirty Peach lipkit. Swatches are Kylie (top to bottom): Dirty Peach, Candy K, Dolce K for reference.

Dolce K is my absolute favorite for Fall, and Candy K is a given everyday pink neutral. Dirty Peach is great for summer, so I’ve been holding off on using it mostly. Definitely apply a light coating, since it’s the only one in her collection I’ve found to crack throughout the day more than others. Let me know a good lip primer if you have any recommendations!!!

FOUR SHADES OF NUDE?

The day has come. My KKW Crème Liquid Lipsticks came in today.  

Let me start off by saying that the presentation is pretty sick. The packaging box has the Kylie drip that’s all over her merchandise. The lipsticks individually are lighter in weight than they look.  At first glance I thought that the containers were made of glass but once I picked them up and tapped them together I realized that they’re actually plastic.

The brush allows for a smooth application but once it’s all the way on it literally shows every wrinkle in your lips. It would be nicer if the lipstick had a cleaner finish. Another thing I might add is that the colors are way lighter than they look in the containers.  I stroked them on my hand first and they looked ok.  I figured that Kimberly and Kimmie were going to be the ones that I would use the most; so I tried them on my lips and they looked totally different.  I even tried mixing them together and that kind of helped but I’m still a little weary about wearing them out in public.  I’m not the only one that feels that way either.

“Overall I wasn’t impressed but I am waiting for the surprise to come. The one that Kim wrote on the note that came along with the packaging. I would still buy her products especially if her and Kim came out with something else,” said Maribel Duran.

This is the first time that I have ever bought any of Kylie’s products and it wasn’t the bang that I was looking for. But like Maribel said, I too am waiting for the surprise coming soon.
