Warning: spoilers for dungeon meshi
Surprised awakening!
Without the shading:
Still very obsessed over these two, like GRAHHHHHHHH
And in case you can't read Laios's text:
"It doesn't look like it's going to eat her...."

I just burst out laughing at this
Fellas is it gay to want to touch a hot elf's armor while it's still on him? Like Laios if it's not to taste the gut juices what is. WHAT IS IT? And then it ENDS THERE. I have so many questions, and none of them were answered.

I feel the doppleganger of Marcille and his thing with Toshiro show more of Laios’ taste than the succubus did
His succubus was about his greatest fantasy , while the others tell more about what kind of people he is drawn to:
people who seem cool, collected and mysterious to him
Not even in a romantic way necessarily, maybe an aroace squish depending on your interpretation

Oh wait, if it's not too late for the villain game : Laios
So the easiest way to do this is just slightly change the genre of story. Make Dungoen Meshi one of those stories where the protagonists are the monsters in the dungeon, just trying to live their lives and go about their business as this constant stream of heavily armed mercenary bands come charging in to kill them all and loot their bodies.
From the dragon's perspective, Laois is someone who went to great lengths to hunt it down to its home for the honor and privilege of killing and eating it. Compared to all the others, he's the terrifying, deeply creepy big game hunter type, obsessed with knowing and understanding what he hunts, including and especially through hunting and consuming it.

Dungoen meshi scratches an ich in my brain. How simple things are. How lovely is, how great the world is, how wonderful the characters are. I do not have enough words to explain my love for the series.
The whole theme of the series makes so much sense. It's so simple, yet so complex.
The characters are so beloved by their creator, they feel like people, they act like people.
The world is so deep and fleshed out, it feels natural, it feels real.
I get so much joy just from seeing Laios info-dumping about some monster, for seeing chilchuck be chilchuck, for seeing Senshi cook his meals, Marcille pushing through situation she dislikes for her friend(no-homo), Itzusumi being a moody teen and acting like a teen. It all makes sense. They aren't particularly hard. They aren't filled with trauma or have a heroic selfless motivation. They are who they are because of their past, their experiences, and what takes them there.
Dungeon meshi is the story I didn't knew I needed, and I dont have enough words to type out to describe how much I love this series
