What is ur wip about is it fantasy 👁👁

yesss it is fantasy! it is set in medieval era adjacent and is about the sons and daughters of the current ruling kings as a civil war breaks out. I am absolute shit at summarizing it because it truly is complex (literally just ask @w1segirl or @rhaenyratargayen bc I won't shut up about my wip to them lol), but essentially there are six kingdoms in this domain all ruled peacefully. it centers on a daughter from one kingdom and a son from another who are cousins through her mother's marriage; the daughter, Cassandra, has prophetic visions of her cousin's kingdom being burnt to ashes, and when her uncle dies without a named her, she helps her cousin, Azrael, usurp the throne, effectively betraying her family but who cares! it all unravels and spins out of control from there

there's a lot of familiar betrayal, reluctant alliances, supernatural elements (kind of magical realism I think), epic fantasy inspired by history, you know the vibes. it is my current obsession and I will always talk about it HAHAH thanks for asking <3 im going to put my synopsis under the cut for funsies

okay, in hotd the only ship I like romantically is rhaenicent. because those bitches are gay and miserable and doomed by the narrative and I'm never going to get over them.

but helaemond does nothing for me personally. the theories about helaena's children being aemond's is not it for me. when blood and cheese happen it takes the tragedy out of it if they aren't aegon's children. and I think that aemond saying in ep 7 that he would do his duty was just a younger brother caring about his family and being duty driven, maybe hoping his elder brother would do what their family needs for once.

helaena and aegon's dynamic is vastly more intriguing and tragic to me. really don't ship anyone in this show except rhaenicent for obvious reasons, but I do think the tragedy of helaegon is interesting for someone who loves her characters miserable lmao

honorable mentions for older Rhaenyra’s hair because those ends look so dry compared to how nice Millie’s wig was. Also Baela and Rhaena were done so dirty. But Jace wins, it’s just so bad
