Cormac McCarthy’s The Road has been adapted into a graphic novel by Abrams ComicArts. The 2006 Pulitzer Prize–winning novel was previously turned into a film of the same name in 2009.

Adapted by French cartoonist Manu Larcenet, the 160-page post-apocalyptic tale is available in hardcover and e-book. Preview several pages below.

A nameless father and son try to survive with their humanity intact in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where Earth’s natural resources have been diminished and some survivors are left to raise others for meat.

Le Rapport de Brodeck de Philippe Claudel et Manu Larcenet

Le Rapport de Brodeck est une adaptation en bande dessinée d'un roman de Philippe Claudel. 

Quelque part dans l'est de l'Europe, au lendemain d'une guerre que l'on devine très brutale, les habitants d'un village en viennent à éliminer un étranger qui s'y était installé. Les raisons semblent implicites pour les habitants du village, mais le lecteur, lui, n'en sait rien. Le village demande à l'un d'entre eux de faire un rapport de ce qui s'est passé.

L'ambiance est pesante, au point de devenir insupportable, comme celles qu'affectionne Manu Larcenet. Il y excelle avec un dessin à l'encre de Chine qui retranscrit l'atmosphère glauque et pesante du récit. Une réflexion brutale et impitoyable sur l'après-guerre. Découvrir
