ugly unformatted post but ik the game allows y’shtola to ‘see’ by using aether but i hate tht it seems to just. ‘fix’ her disability, so i hc what y’shtola sees is essentially what she’s seen before through the use of the aether goggles. so, i have a couple things to say: one, y’shtola can no longer do typical visually-aided things like reading, color-coordinating, etc. etc. her aetherial sight is something akin to seeing auras, and she can generally interact with other people and creatures pretty well because of it, but because aether is constantly moving and flowing ( to my understanding anyway ), it’s not a perfect practice and she can and will quite often misjudge where other beings are, though her ability to gauge distance and location remarkably improves once she learns to use other senses such as her hearing and her sense of smell. i also very much doubt that she can see inanimate everyday objects using this ‘sight’ because they are not living and therefore don’t have aether (?) but i think she can probably gauge locations of those by the way aether flows around them instead
