Number 21 in the numerized list I specifically made for this is.. Xander Adamos! He's one of the handful of "not Not a dgr oc because he's in the universe of my other dgr ocs but has not been placed in a KG" ocs on here. A side character, if you will, but he's still fabulous! I rambled quite a bit, so under the cut for length (..probably also gonna be common w these guys even if I don't mention outright. death blehhh grr pepto bismol spills OoOooO)

He's the older brother of another gal who is also on this list, Lauren Adamos. He's the Ultimate. I don't quite remember but I'm pretty sure it was model or something (Haruhi knock off smh. joke. for reference Haruhi is also on this list he's so awesome sauce and probably the second oldest oc on this entire list. I have others, but they are old-old. If mentioned, Mi-Sun is the oldest by a little I think? Maybe? Either her or him, in terms of real life time that they've existed. So Haruhi is the OG model if I'm remembering Xander's Ultimate right).

I'll write this here instead of betting on Lauren also getting chosen at some point because she has a lot of things of her own to mention that are uniquely hers, so I can drop some shared Adamos sibling lore here for him :)

Basically their mom is a massive bitch. I do not feel bad calling her this. Xander ended up getting scouted or something and ended up being very successful, enough to become an Ultimate, and this led to her putting immense pressure on Lauren, who's roughly 3 (maybe more?? everything is fuzzy and I am so so bad w keeping info about my ocs) years younger than him. He feels bad for his sister, he truly does, she's not even an adult yet and has been ridiculed by her parents so much over not having a talent, and then not having a "real" one, but he's always been a bit of a perfect child and he's not used to standing up to his parents whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure he was gay or bi or something idk I don't remember but I heavily doubt he was straight in fact I know he wasn't bc I think I had maybe like 3 straight ocs across allll the dgr ocs I made at that time and only two of them weren't like. homophobic straight. so. shrugs idfk but yayyy he was fruity ✨✨

If there is one thing you can say about Drake, It’s the fact that he knows how to change the narrative to his own liking. Last night (June 13) Drake released the video to his latest track, “I’m Upset” that doubles up as a reunion between himself and his former Degrassi co-stars.

Drake has once again tagged director Karena Evans, who directed the videos for “God’s Plan” and “Nice for What,” to direct the 6-minute video. The video shows Drake as his Degrassi character Jimmy Brooks meeting up with his on-camera bestie Spinner, played by Shane Kippel. The two eventually makes it to Degrassi Community School where the reunion is held, the duo is greeted by several stars from the 90’s- 2000’s show.  The visual shows the now-grown stars dancing through the halls, drinking in the stands, and taking selfies before the things end in a huge fire. The closing credits show a mixture of original footage from the series alongside new clips from the video.

Degrassi Panel -

- There’d literally be no show without Emma. (so pls respect my Queen.)

- The only episode they ever had difficulty airing was Accidents Will Happen (Manny’s abortion)

- Stefan (Snake) had no clue the take where he said “fucking Tessa Campanelli” was going to be used.

- Not a fact but the TNG cast seriously all lit up as they were introduced and seemed so excited to see each other again.

- Daniel (Sean) states that he sees Lauren (Paige) the most.

- Lauren originally auditioned for Ashley and Adamo (Marco) auditioned for Craig. Adamo was just going to be a breakdancing extra but they liked him so much, they centered Marco around him.

- Jake (Craig) stated one time him and Aubrey (Jimmy) did a mall tour and fans had to choose between his autograph and Aubrey’s and he laughs now, wondering if some fans regret choosing him.

- Daniel says he believes Sean came back from the war to win back Emma and Shane (Spinner) said he wants Spinner and Jane back together. Stephen said he’d absolutely do a reboot with the premise of Semma getting back together and he regrets that storyline. (DO IT YOU COWARD)

- Shane says he’s not sure what happened to Kendra but he firmly believes her and Spinner are still close.

- Munro (Eli) says he blames his father for his quarantine chic appearance.

- Munro says his favorite Eclare scenes are early s10 scenes because Eclare is just starting out and Aislinn (Clare) says she always enjoyed the chemistry she had working with Munro.

- Shane says he hated the s4 “flock of seagulls” haircut but that the cast never made fun of him even when they wanted to.

- Jake says he loved that the Degrassi writers always took their subject matters seriously and let the actors ask as many questions as they wanted and talk to experts.

- Munro says Adam’s storyline was impactful to him because he eventually had a family member come out as transgender. Him and Aislinn both praised Jordan’s performance and said they felt protective over the character.

- Luke (Drew) jokingly claimed Drew was now the school principal. Daniel says he really wants Sean to come back to win over Emma.

- Christina (Terri) says she’d love Terri to come back and show off her being a model. She says “ice cream boy” is one of her favorite quotes/moments from the show.

- Munro says one of his favorite shows is Sex Education and Lauren says she doesn’t believe Euphoria could exist today without Degrassi.

- Jake says he always felt like Craig was a really toxic character and that he often got upset with what Craig did to women.

- Shane says he’s loved watching his cast mates grow, Aislinn says she loves the impact and responsibility the show took telling important issues and Lauren says she hopes a reboot of Degrassi is done so she can have her son watch it.

Lately I’ve been wanting to do a Degrassi re-watch, but I always struggle with where to start. Do I start with a recent season like S13, or should I go all the way back to Degrassi Junior High or TNG Season 1? Then today I was thinking about making a #DegrassiOnThisDay Twitter thread to share what episodes premiered on this date and how long ago. This got me thinking that I could also watch the episodes that premiered on this day. It would be a fun way to re-watch random episodes throughout the year from all different eras of Degrassi. I made a calendar of what episodes premiered when, and I thought I’d share it in case anyone else wants to participate.

How to read this:

Each date indicates which episodes premiered on that day and also the year (e.g. KODS Episode 108 premiered on January 2, 1983 and TNG Episode 609 and 610 premiered on January 2, 2007).

I used short form for each ‘era’ of Degrassi

KODS = The Kids of Degrassi Street

DJH – Degrassi Junior High

DH = Degrassi High

TNG = Degrassi: The Next Generation

DNC = Degrassi Next Class

For each episode, I indicated the very first date it aired. Most of the time this is also the Canadian airdate, but some episodes did premiere in the US first and in those cases I called this out. However Australia airing DNC S2 first is not included
