Laurent/Nikandros has good angst potential but also consider if their relationship instead actually solidifies into younger-brother-who-LOVES-being-annoying and older-brother-who-barely-tolerates-it. Laurent is canonically very much about pushing the envelope with Nikandros at every opportunity. Auguste was indulgent and protective and soft, so Laurent thinks he knows what he’s getting himself into, but Nikandros WILL push him into the lake or kick his ass in the training ring or chase and tackle him when he’s being snarky. Laurent whips olives across the table at him when no one’s looking until Damen tells him to stop or until Nikandros slams his hands on the table like he’s going to jump across it, and then just sits there smirking into his dinner. He runs up and just shoves Nikandros as hard as he can sometimes because he’s bored and then gets his ass kicked for it. They are the definition of horsing around. Laurent is EVERYWHERE Nikandros is and nothing Nikandros does seems to deter him. They’re like this-
