Ah, Trafalgar D. Water Law.... Or how I like to call him; Monster trio's fourth

I thought about lawluzosan soooo much today btw. I still don’t have my thoughts together enough to make any proper posts about them but I’m gonna dump what I have.

Basically I really enjoy thinking about all the different permutations of how they could end up all together (lawlu being audacious and crazy enough to try to get zosan together and then to try to get zosan with them, lawsan plotting endlessly and not actually getting anywhere until Luffy asks why they’re being so weird, luzo just straightforwardly asking the other two if they want to make out sometime, etc etc) and I also like thinking about how they behave with each other when split off into duos and trios instead of the four of them together, especially in modern AUs (it’s not wise to let Luffy and Zoro go haring off on their own as of the…six? possible pairs you can make out of the four of them, Luffy and Zoro are the most likely to get arrested)

I think that Law and Sanji find complaining and ranting with each other to be very therapeutic. They are both champion worriers and Sanji is a professional complainer and Law is a world-class hater so they always have a lot to talk about along. Common phrases include things like “And the worst part is—“ and “NO NO YEAH EXACTLY.” They both walk away with big smiles afterwards.

I think that Law and Zoro can probably sit next to each other in silence for three hours and then be like “This was a great date, I really feel closer to you now”

Law and Luffy i have trouble describing exactly what they’re like as a romantic Thing but like basically they’re very fun because they both have leader personalities and Law is more prone to swift and decisive decision-making under Luffy’s influence and they are always doing some world domination shit together (basically one of them identifies a problem like in their community or whatever, they discuss it briefly, they say “well the problem would be solved if only someone would [thing that would be incredibly difficult to attempt and very unlikely to succeed]” and then they do it and it works).

The other three fall asleep on Law more often than they fall asleep on anyone else because Law loves it when people fall asleep on his shoulder (Law is not so secretly VERY weak to cute things, including sleepy boyfriends) and will talk more quietly and move around less if he notices the partner next to him starting to nod off. Luffy and Sanji both move around WAY too much for someone to conceivably fall asleep on them—Luffy even moves around too much in his sleep for this. (Luffy is also too short for the others to fall asleep on his shoulder, though “cheek against the top of his head” is viable.) It is rare for someone to accidentally fall asleep against Zoro—more often, someone notices that he fell asleep and makes the decision to join him.

They all find emotional intimacy difficult sometimes. They are all four of them pretty good about hashing out conflicts, and Zoro and Luffy are very comfortable with the mushy stuff while Law and Sanji only get embarrassed sometimes, but all four of them to different extents have a lot of trouble with sharing when they’re feeling vulnerable or sad or lost. Like all skills, this gets better with practice.
