I went outside to Pee before daybreak and had to follow the RED light back to the van it was so Dark. Why RED? The Rhodopsin contained within the rods in your eyes are less sensitive to the color RED. Another rain day but the gears in my head are turning... I’m going to try an unconventional cabinet system for my van. (go figure) Vision if you will... an @gladiator_garageworks 27” utility cart without it’s wheels or handle installed and used as a base cabinet to store/protect our camera gear bags, packs, MacBooks, iPads and a host of batteries & chargers. I seriously upgraded the @lblvan ‘s sheets & blankets with the @nemoequipment Jazz Luxury Duo Sleeping Bag. Red Light District! I’ve ordered an additional LED dome light for the rear area of the van. I already have one of these mounted near the side cargo doors and LOVE IT = it’s bright as fuck in the white mode but soothing and easy on my stargazing “night eyes” when in red mode. Out With The Old! I “attacked” the intricate 12V wiring system of the @lblvan this weekend. I retained the engine remote start ignition switch and that’s about it. NO ROOF RACK! Fr th @lblvan (for now). The @rhinorackusa order(s) have all been canceled from @etrailer_ & @amazon Nothing suitable is available (COVID-19 shutdowns) and a premium aluminum roof rack from @aluminess is at least 10 weeks out. (build time).
