Its a metaphor for how i feel, like i dont have any life experience or social skills
You’re still 19, lol
i think there’s a really fucking hilarious misconception that you MUST accomplish or do all the stupid project X looking ass shit by college or whatever..
Life experience, as it goes, is something you naturally accrue over time, provided that you try in spite of anything holding you back. You’re still a baby and im like a decade older than u lmao. It’s the basics of wisdom. And social skills? You can learn and develop those, even if you are autistic. I know alot of autistic people who are genuinely sociable, considerate and fun people.
But like, I really empathize with you. I mean I’ll peel back a bit of the veil here to relate here, but in highschool, i was the dark cloud carrying, all black baggy clothing, furious at everyone school shooter plotting scary kid (i even had a mental and written list of targets and priorities in such a scenario) with no friends and life prospects. Spent all my time wandering the halls alone or using the computer in the library to browse something awful, then ytmnd and then imageboards or whtaever… I was more or less still this way by the time i was 20.
Dont sweat not having life experience, that will come to you. First you got to recognize that social skills and life “experience” are something you hunger for. Which you have, now put yourself out there.. Second, you must actualize that hunger because that hunger is the divining rod you will need to break out of your rut. Break comfort zones, push against the fog and darkness and produce a context to sustain yourself with, even if it is online communities or chats. It’s important that you try, even though it WILL be embarrasing and heartbreaking at times, when your inability to read social cues pops up. The experience from trying will still give you that life experience and confidence that you want.
