My biggest writing advice is get used to saying "I hate learning about [X], but I wanna write about [X], so I guess I have to learn about [X]...damn."

#learning about cults has ruined my algorithms #but to write about sensitive topics one must subject oneself to sensitive topics #even tho i grew up in a cult i still feel like i need to see how they vary #and damn i was not ready to hear some of that without a therapy appointment handy
