GRRM has associated lemon imagery in ASOIAF with innocence, naivety , wishful thinking, and memories of home. At the end of ADWD Tyrion is in a very dark and cynical place going on a quest to meet Dany. When he hears about the kind of naive hope that Daeenerys generates among slaves, despite their horrible reality he sarcastically thinks that:

Before Stannis's attack on King's landing Cersei is worrying about her children and she cries in front of Tyrion ,which takes him by surprise. He uses the imagery of Aegon the conqueror and later in the book he calls Dany  Aegon the conqueror with teats.

And Cersei began to cry. Tyrion Lannister could not have been more astonished if Aegon the Conqueror himself had burst into the room, riding on a dragon and juggling lemon pies. He had not seen his sister weep since they were children together at Casterly Rock. Awkwardly, he took a step toward her. Its interesting that Tyrion uses lemon pie imagery with context of comfort and motherly love. Lemon pie imagery also comes with context of fighting white walkers with dragonglass.
