ok yeah, I'm willing to put Young Royals up as one of, if not the best teen drama ever written
and not just writing! cinematography, costumes, music, performances! this show truly is a masterpiece

random opinion of mine, but literally every song that has a main female artist that is either then covered by a man or heavily features a man tends to be bad. Or even sometimes a song by a man with a woman featured. Like you listen to it and go "wish there was a version without that guy in it"
on the Flip side every time a woman covers a song that was originally by a man it becomes my new favorite thing ever.

it would be interesting to see how a group that has so greatly been branded as belonging to the “noise”genre would do a more singing-based release. not that a singing heavy tt needs to be a soft ballad but based on b-sides alone that seem to be more of the boys' style (singing-wise). and sure some groups (mainly from sm) do do more “big” or “noisy” singing-based stuff, but that’s not the guys' style imo. those groups tend to be full of big belters who get grand one liners, and the showiness of that doesn’t quite fit skz. and i like that their full singing releases seems slower and more mellow.. it’s a good antithesis to the noise. i really adore those sort of b-sides and always feel a bit sad that most non-skz fans don’t know that the boys sound like that, or that skz has so many skilled singers to begin with, and all as a result of the the usual tts they release.

within the first hour of the episode’s release btw, fans were able to figure out that
kuukou’s temple wasn’t far up a mountain as suggested in auxiliary media and more like at a halfway point
found a shop that looks exactly like the one kuukou’s looking into in the same area
written a mini dissertation on what the intended purpose of using that egyptian mural with bat
and man the bat community is cool lol

Vocaloid is so funny cuz you have Hatsune Miku singing about how the world is hers and about drinking veggie juice then suddenly you find her singing about murder, MANY kinds of abuse, depression, the fucked up school system and death. Also Len fucking dies

2012 les mis is such a fascinating film (derogatory) from a technical filmmaking perspective. the nauseating shaky cam. the claustrophobic extreme closeups and dutch angles that make you tilt your head. the out of focus partially obscured shots for no reason. the live singing on set with live piano that is following the vocals rather than the other way around.
it gets even more interesting when you look into the behind the scenes stuff. like the fact that russell crowe, who had been singing since the 80s, had a worse vocal performance than eddie redmayne, who had less experience. that's most likely bc crowe had like 4 vocal coaches at the same time in preparation for the roll. hugh jackman severely restricted water for 36 hrs for a scene where he wasn't even fully shirtless. the orchestra played for like 7hrs straight trying to get one take. and even with all of that, it still won oscars simply bc the acting was THAT good. say what you will about the director tom hooper (😒) or the producer cameron mackintosh (😒😒😒😒) but the actors did their damn best in hellish nightmarish conditions
