did NOT expect to get into Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But here we are!!
#i'd seen a couple filler eps on tv back when it was still airing and while i like how it's really distinguishing itself in terms of style#the episode i watched was just... very boring.#but i saw a ton of praise about the movie that just came out#and i got 30 mins into that before saying 'ok yeah i should try and watch the series for real i think lmaoo'#so here i am. and im loving episode one so far!!#leo not being the oldest/the leader was my biggest petty contention with the concept of the show honestly#cuz now i feel like his personality type is just way too similar to mikey's?#but i guess ill give it a little time and see how it turns out#the writing is getting some genuine laughs from me tho! ill give it that!!#(i just really dont like how they made splinter a comic relief character?#that just feels so out of place to me and thats why i really didnt like the episode i saw on tv#it was some sort of episode where like. splinter gets sick and starts trying to hunt them all down so he can hug them or something?#which just. why. lmfao. so im hoping i can just skip the dumb filler episodes like that and be fine)#tmnt#mine
