chapter xvii - gust & flame
Eris Vanserra x Reader
Eris Vanserra has been a prisoner in his own home since the day he was born. He has done what he had to in order to survive and protect the few he loves. And he is playing the long game. Waiting, waiting, and waiting for the right time to make his move, to usurp his wicked father and become High Lord of Autumn Court. But things become even more complicated when a human girl drops into his life. Perhaps Eris can wait no longer to take his throne.

It only took two turns for Y/N to guess that she had already made a mistake and was surely going to get lost in this ginormous house.
But it seemed to take even less time before she heard her name being called and Eris’ quick steps behind her.
Y/N stopped walking, but refused to turn around.
“We both know you have no idea where you are going,” Eris commented darkly from behind her.
She sighed and turned to look at him.
He took that as her silent invitation to let him show her back to her bedchambers. Well…his bedchambers. But she could sleep in his bed for as long as she so pleased – even if he wasn’t in it along with her.
The walk was 20 minutes of silence. And Eris knew better than to try and force her to break it when she was in such a delicate state. Little did he know, his silent presence was starting to comfort her.
“I meant what I said,” Eris finally spoke when they stood outside the door to their bedchambers.
“About what?” She asked for clarity in a soft voice.
“You are not a prisoner here.”
She just stared into his eyes, looking for any hint of lie. But found none.
“This home is your own. Go where you please. Use what you wish. If there’s anything you desire, you need only ask.” Then he nodded towards the door. “There are clothes in the wardrobe for you. I had the seamstresses working all day and they were quite confident they got your sizing correct.”
Y/N blinked. “You…Y-You had them make custom dresses for me, all in one day?”
Eris could not seem to understand why she was confused – and so taken aback.
“Of course,” he answered, as if it were obvious. “You arrived with almost no belongings.” Only his cloak and the weapons he had gifted her.
Then she opened the door in a rush and marched to the wardrobe, leaving the door ajar to silently invite him in.
Y/N opened it to see the most beautiful dresses she’d ever seen. Yes, Rhysand had gifted her clothes while in Night Court. But these dresses…they felt more... her. And there wasn’t just dresses: there was an equal amount of pants and tops, as well.
“Eris,” she whispered. “This is too much. I…I do not deserve such beautiful clothing.”
To her surprise, Eris’ eyes darkened and he stepped closer to her.
Then his stare went up and down her body – not objectifying her, though as if he was trying to find something he couldn’t seem, but she did.
His amber eyes stared and she wanted to look away, but couldn’t.
Eris voice was low as he slowly said, “I would like to know who in this life made you ever believe that you are undeserving of clothing.”
Y/N opened and closed her mouth a couple times.
When he put it so simply, it did make her rethink.
“But it’s not just clothing,” she argued. “It’s far too lovely.”
“So you don’t believe you deserve lovely clothing?”
Y/N glared at him now, seeing the game he was playing.
Eris took another step closer to her. And it made Y/N’s heart beat a little faster. She wondered if his fae senses could hear it.
His eyes flickered from her y/e/c eyes to her lips before he said, “If there is one thing I shall achieve during your stay here, it’s to untrain that mind of yours and stop you from ever thinking you are undeserving of the very best.” His head tilted closer to her. “You should be gifted anything you have ever wanted. You…” He paused. “You should be worshipped, Y/N.”
He lifted his head back, giving her space to linger on what he just said.
Y/N was grateful for it, because she was convinced her knees would give out at any second.
If her heart was speeding up before, now it was threatening to beat out of her chest. Her breathing was heavy, and she was struggling to control it.
No man had ever spoken to her the way Eris just did. And she somehow knew that no one else ever would, either.
Eris took a step backward. “Goodnight, Y/N.”
He bowed his head and left, closing the door gently behind him.
Y/N stood frozen in place for minutes before she could find it in herself to move.
–🍁–🍁–🍁–
The next morning, Lucien was once again guarding her door.
Y/N suspected that Eris assigned at least one of his guards while she slept, before his brother reached his post.
This time, Lucien was standing and reading a book.
“Do I really require a babysitter?” Y/N moaned.
Though, if she were being honest, she’d recognize that she had no idea what she would do with herself in this place alone.
Lucien smiled in that cocky way of his. Then he took in Y/N’s dress carefully. “I see you are making use of your new wardrobe…”
She said nothing and only awkwardly shifted her weight as her face got warm.
“I don’t think I need another tour,” Y/N announced quietly, hoping not to sound rude.
“Good. Because I did not plan on giving one.”
“He must be busy…” Y/N thought aloud as she started following her escort.
Lucien frowned. “It is not easy transitioning to High Lord, especially after this Court has been ruled by Beron for so long.”
“Will the people accept him?”
“It would be best if they did…” he hummed.
Y/N paused and looked at Lucien with fear. “He wouldn’t…Eris would never…he wouldn’t hurt anyone for the disrespect if they did not…w-would he?”
Lucien seemed amused by both her concern and uncertainty. “Doubtful. Eris wishes do abolish Beron’s evil, not renew it. But there are still those who will question his power and if he is fit to rule at all.”
“But the Cauldron chose him!” Y/N argued. "The powers of Autumn Court are with him.”
Lucien shrugged. “Sometimes the courtiers need more than that.”
“Where are we going?” She suddenly asked.
“To the kitchens,” Eris answered. “My brother nearly throttled me when he found out I had taken you on a three-hour tour without feeding you beforehand.”
“Will you stay…now that Eris is High Lord?”
Her waiting gaze was nervous, as if she was scared the question was rude and she was stepping out of line by asking it.
Lucien sighed. “My brother has assured me that one of his first acts as the new High Lord was to rescind my exile. I am welcome once again in Autumn Court.”
“But do you wish to actually return?”
It was obvious these were all questions that had been racing through Lucien’s mind. But it was also obvious that he did not have steadfast answers.
“It is nice having you here…” Y/N admitted quietly, giving him time to consider his answer. But also offering him an out to change the subject, and not answer at all.
Lucien gave her a shy smirk. “The feeling is mutual.” Then he frowned. “But you intend to return to the Mortal Lands as soon as Eris deems it safe.”
Y/N stopped walking and frowned. “You must think me no better than Elain.”
“Well, Elain does not even acknowledge my existence. At least you actually converse with my brother.”
It took Y/N a moment to realize he was teasing her. She looked up to see him smiling mischievously down at her.
Y/N’s brow furrowed. “Perhaps you fae will never understand it…”
“Understand what?”
“The power of choice was taken away from us. We mortals live a short life. A bad decision – or the lack of choice – could greatly change our lifetime. Our lifespan…it’s just a blink of your immortality.”
Lucien understood what Y/N was trying to tell him. And he wondered if this was why Elain pushed him away again and again. He was thrust onto her at her most vulnerable, ruining the life she had imagined for herself.
“So…you are upset that the Cauldron chose for you?”
“Feyre explained that mating bonds do not always imply love…”
Lucien wanted to correct her, to tell her that was not the case for his brother. But he knew it was not his place. Perhaps it was not yet love Eris had for Y/N. But Lucien could see it was quickly nearing. Without the threat of Beron, Eris was free to choose his mate – choose to love and protect her. If only Y/N realized that it was not a situation of the Cauldron forcing them together out of spite.
“This is true,” Lucien couldn’t help but agree. “Throughout history, some mates have despised each other. But you have spent time around Feyre and Rhysand, Nesta and Cassian. Surely you understand the power the bond can mean for others.”
Y/N didn’t respond, just remained lost in her own head.
––
Lucien had snuck them into the kitchens that were bustling with energy and cooks. There was a little nook in the corner, out of everyone’s way. It was just big enough so two could eat together discreetly.
As soon as they were seated, a cook came over with a shy, but warm smile. She appeared to be lesser fae, with almost red skin and bright, golden hair. Her eyes were entirely black though – no irises or pupils to be found.
She bowed her head to both of them, the gesture taking Y/N aback. In both hands were two plates full of breakfast. She gently placed them down.
“I will be back with coffee and tea,” she told them almost apologetically.
“Thank you,” Y/N managed to say before the cook scurried out of sight.
Y/N looked to Lucien with a questioning gaze.
“There are many who wish to meet the legendary witch who rid the court of Beron Vanserra.”
Y/N scoffed. “I hardly even helped. I was more in the way than anything. The winds tell me it was you, Eris, and your mother who truly ended him.”
Lucien’s face turned serious as he said, “If you think my brother could have found the courage to face Beron without you, then you truly do not understand your importance here.”
The cook returned, holding two giant mugs in each hand with impressive finesse. In one set was coffee and in their other appeared to be earl grey tea.
Lucien gave a nod and looked into her eyes as he said, “Thank you, Marwyna.”
Even with her red skin, she seemed to be blushing at such attention.
“Yes, thank you. It looks delicious,” Y/N also urged.
The two of them ate without conversation. If it weren’t for the bustling of the kitchens they sat in, there would’ve been complete silence between the two.
Lucien could tell something had been struck in Y/N’s mind and she had no retreated there, thinking and thinking and thinking.
It wasn’t until both of their plates were nearly clean when she finally spoke.
“I make him weak,” Y/N breathed. “I am just a mortal. I could so easily be used against him. It would be better if I….if I just d-d-disappeared.”
Lucien watched Y/N, reading her face to see that she truly believed the words she spoke.
But it would not be him that could make her realize how wrong she was. He would need to have a long conversation with Eris. Only his brother could make Y/N understand how important she was – to him, to Autumn Court.
So, all Lucien stead was, “There is nothing weak about you, Y/N.”
She blinked in surprise at his declaration.
“Now if we are finished eating and feeling sorry for ourselves, I think a nice walk around the gardens would do us well.”
A whisper of a smirk showed on Y/N’s lips as she nodded.
—🍁—🍁—🍁—
“That is all for today,” Eris announced to his table of advisors as he stood.
He could sense everyone’s mental exhaustion. But mostly he could feel is own.
There was…much to be repaired in Autumn Court. Beron ruled with fear and without any mercy, and it would take a lot to undo such philosophies.
His mother sat to his right and gave him a sympathetic look as the fae bowed their heads and slowly took their leave from the great hall.
However, Leonora stayed behind.
Eris had already grown exhausted with his High Lord duties. Though he had prepared for centuries to have such power, nothing could’ve prepared him for the toll it took on his mind and body.
Leonora waited for them to be left alone before she spoke.
Then she subtly nodded her head to the other end of the hall that led to a balcony that oversaw the courtyard below.
Eris held out his arm for his mother before moving.
She squeezed his arm to comfort him. “You cannot change this Court overnight, Eris.”
“We are moving too slowly,” he argued.
Leonora smiled. “I know you have patience, for you waited centuries to for this opportunity. But you must still practice that same patience to mold Autumn Court for the good of its denizens.”
As they walked onto the balcony, Eris was hit with the fresh, brisk air of autumn. The sun was nearing the horizon as it set for the day.
It was common for mist and fog to linger in this court.
And today’s dusk was no different, leaving a haunting feeling to the courtyard below.
When Eris looked over the edge of the railing, he froze.
Below were his acclaimed smoke hounds.
Everyone in the Forest House feared them. They did not take kindly to anyone that wasn't their master. Because they were feared for good reason: trained to hunt and kill – if ordered. They only tolerated their handlers by command of Eris, since he could not solely take care of them himself – especially now that he was High Lord. Even his mother was careful around them. They’d never attack her, but they were by no means fond of the Lady of Autumn either.
But below him, the pack was surrounding Y/N, who sat on the ground as they all wagged their tails, fighting each other to lick her.
Two pups from the most recent litter were cuddled on Y/N's lap, as she giggled from all the affection the adult hounds gave her.
Then Eris spotted Lucien a few yards away from Y/N, with a look of exasperation. Most of his childhood Lucien spent trying to win over his brother’s smoke hounds. They only grew to tolerate him, never showing him acceptance or affection.
Any time Lucien so much as shifted his weight, the hounds would interpret it as him trying to get closer to Y/N, and they would all let out a warning growl.
It made Lucien roll his eyes. And Eris swore he heard his youngest brother mutter, “Stupid, overprotective mutts. Of course you would like her…”
“Seems like your hounds have brought your mate some joy,” Leonora hummed as she also looked down at the sight with a knowing smile.
Eris couldn’t deny how much it warmed his heart.
Perhaps they remembered Y/N from that dreadful day he found her in the forest. Or perhaps they could also sense that Y/N was their master’s mate.
“There is so many of them!” Y/N giggled as the hounds kissed her face, tickling her.
“They will not even let me pet them and look at you!” Lucien called out bitterly.
Then a whistle pierced the air.
The pack of one dozen dogs immediately retreated, forming a straight line, like little soldiers.
Y/N sat straight and twisted to see that they were now facing Eris, who had stepped into the courtyard and stood straight with his hands clasped behind my back.
She also jumped to her feet. For some reason, she felt like she had been caught doing something mischievous. But she still had the two puppies in each hand. Clearly, they were too young to know the same commands as the others.
Eris walked further into the courtyard. “I see you have met my smoke hounds.”
Y/N quickly, but gently, put the two puppies on the ground. But as soon as she let them go, they looked up at her and started whining.
Eris looked at the two handlers, who had been standing watch, and then at his brother.
“Leave us,” he commanded politely, but firmly.
Lucien glared at his eldest brother. But still followed his command, giving Y/N a polite nod before also leaving the courtyard.
Then it was just Y/N, Eris, and his hounds.
Y/N, still thinking like she was caught doing something wrong, immediately stuttered out, “L-Lucien and I were just going for a walk when we came upon your handlers and the dogs. They approached me! I didn’t mean to disrupt them.”
Eris finally smirked at her. “You seem to be under the impression that I plan on scolding you.”
Y/N blinked. “Well…I…yes.”
Eris wondered what he had to do to make his mate realize she could never do anything to upset him so pettily.
He looked at his hounds and said, “Effrenate.”
The hounds relaxed and all went to greet their master with wagging tails.
“Animals seem to have a certain draw to you…” Eris noted as he kneeled to greet his dogs with pets and affection.
“Most witches have a connection to that of nature,” Y/N mumbled, almost as if she were embarrassed by this certain trait.
“So you have bewitched my hounds?” Eris asked with playfulness in his eyes.
“Of course not,” she quickly answered with a huff, as she picked up the two puppies again and walked toward their master.
“Do you have names for them all?” Y/N asked.
“Of course.” His gaze went up to the two in her hand. “That is Aspen and Brutus.”
Both puppies tails wagged even harder at their names being called out. Y/N smiled down at them when she noticed it.
Then he went around and listed off the rest of the names.
“Now that I know they are all so fond of you,” Eris began. “Perhaps I should leave a few of them to guard you during your stay.”
“I wouldn’t mind the company. But is my safety really at such risk here?”
“I should hope not,” Eris answered lowly. “Though it would ease my guilt from leaving you alone for such long periods of time.”
“You are a High Lord. You have more important matters than entertaining me. Though I hope you start to take pity on Lucien and dismiss his duties as my personal jester.”
Eris smiled at her subtle jab toward his brother.
His smiles were rare before. But now there was brightness there that Y/N doubted existed before Beron’s demise.
He was so handsome. Not that it hadn’t been the first thing Y/N noticed when she had met Eris officially in the Night Court. But Y/N would not be surprised if the power of being a High Lord somehow enhanced his looks.
Eris’ amber eyes almost glow with a warmth that only ever seemed to be directed toward her. And his cloak-like jacket fit his body perfectly, showing off his posture and strong presence. He would immediately be noticed in any room he walked into.
“You should never hide your smile,” Y/N blurted out before she could stop herself.
Her eyes widened in embarrassment when she realized what she had just said aloud.
“Excuse me,” she quickly added. “I should not say such things so carelessly.”
But Eris ignored her apology. “Whatever smiles you see are your doing.”
Y/N's face warmed at his implication.
But then something dark suddenly clouded her face. “I should return to my rooms.”
Eris stood up from his dogs. “Will you not join me for dinner?”
Y/N carefully placed the two puppies in Eris’ grasp and only looked at them as she answered, “I would like to eat dinner alone in my rooms, if that is alright.”
“O-Of course,” was all Eris could manage to say back.
What would he do instead? Force her to have dinner with him? Is that not what Tamlin did when Feyre was imprisoned in Spring Court? Or at least, that is what Eris had heard.
Had he said something to upset her?
“Your training,” Eris called out before Y/N could fully escape the courtyard.
She turned to him, brow wrinkled with clear confusion.
“Do you wish to continue your training?” Eris clarified.
Even though it was just the two of them, Y/N still looked around the courtyard as if she would find another person Eris could possibly be talking to.
“I would,” she finally answered slowly.
“I will assign my Weapons Master to train with you tomorrow. He shall meet you here.”
Y/N opened her mouth to protest.
“Before you say some nonsense about not wanting to be a bother,” Eris continued before she could speak. “It would bring me great peace to know you are keeping up with your training.”
She just watched him for a moment.
Eventually she nodded, and said, “Tomorrow then.”

*for those curious, the breed I used to reference Eris' smoke hounds is a Dogo Argentino. (I know most people imagine a grey hound, but they look like rats to me and I like this breed more. And they seem more badass anyways.)

Welcome to the Shadow of the Eclipse
October 4-31, 2023
Some introductory notes
The “shadow of the eclipse” is a time period lasting from 10 days before the first eclipse, to three days after the final eclipse. It is recommended not to start anything new, or schedule anything important, during these days - as usual I refer everyone to the 1981 wedding of Lady Diana Spencer to the Prince of Wales, as an example.
Of course we live in a place/time which scoffs at letting astrology help with the timing of events - therefore don’t lose hope if something falls unavoidably within the eclipse shadow. Just be prepared.
I wanted to take a more thorough approach to delineation, this time. I hope it’s helpful.
South Node Solar Eclipse
A solar eclipse happens when the New Moon lies close (in the Zodiac) to either the North Lunar Node, or to the South one. It occurred to me to do a little research on whether which Node is involved, makes any difference - and yes, it does.
Astrologers call the South Node “the dragon’s tail” - Steven Forrest calls the South Node, “the dragon’s butt” - because here we are “pooping out” what we don’t need and can’t use. (One person’s poop, however, is another person’s fertilizer.)
Eclipses conjunct the South Lunar Node, like the October 14 one, have an outflowing (outpooping?) of energy. They tend to feature external events which we have to “rise up to.”
If you’d like to note how these have affected you in the past (always a good idea to check “what happened last time”), here is a list of the previous South Node solar eclipses in this century:
December 14, 2001, 22°56’ Sagittarius
December 4, 2002, 11°58’ Sagittarius
November 23, 2003, 1°14’ Sagittarius
October 14, 2004, 21°06’ Libra
October 3, 2005, 10°19’ Libra
September 22, 2006, 29°20’ Virgo
September 11, 2007, 18°25’ Virgo
August 1, 2008, 9°32’ Leo
July 22, 2009, 29°27’ Cancer
July 11, 2010, 19°24’ Cancer
June 1, 2011, 11°02’ Gemini
July 1, 2011, 9°12’ Cancer
May 20, 2012, 0°21’ Gemini
May 10, 2013, 19°31’ Taurus
April 29, 2014, 8°52’ Taurus
March 20, 2015, 29°27’ Pisces
March 9, 2016, 18°56’ Pisces
February 26, 2017, 8°12’ Pisces
February 15, 2018, 27°08’ Aquarius
January 6, 2019, 15°25’ Capricorn
December 26, 2019, 4°07’ Capricorn
December 14, 2020, 23°08’ Sagittarius
December 4, 2021, 12°22’ Sagittarius
October 25, 2022, 2°00’ Scorpio
October 14, 2023, 21°08’ Libra
Going down that list was a very uncomfortable trip down memory lane for me. When those South Node eclipses affected me, it was generally a harbinger of some difficult “external event” which I had little to no control over - which is not the same thing as saying “it wasn’t my fault.” I brought some of it on myself due to bad decisions. Some karma chickens coming home to roost, in other words. Not all of them were dire, though. One in particular gave me something of a respite from what had been happening in my life - it was conjunct my natal 12th House cusp.
Saros Series “7 South”
This eclipse is part of Saros Series “7 South.” Bernadette Brady writes,
The individual experiencing this series will find that huge obstacles will suddenly and easily clear or, on the negative side, a pending potential crisis will suddenly manifest and move through his or her life very rapidly. Either way the individual will feel that everything is moving at great speed. (The Eagle and the Lark)
Previous Saros “7 South” eclipses in Ms M’s lifetime:
September 11, 1969, 18°53’ Virgo
September 23, 1987, 29°34’ Virgo
October 3, 2005, 10°19’ Libra
Not quite as depressing for me personally.
Whatever Shall We Do?
1) Determine which of your natal houses this eclipse falls in.
2) Determine whether the eclipse makes an aspect to anything in your chart. Use a 1° orb. In my case, the conjunctions, squares, sesquiquads (135°), inconjuncts, and oppositions made the most obvious impacts.
3) If there is a close aspect to a planet, check to see which house(s) that planet rules. One South Node eclipse was conjunct the ruler of my natal 4th House, and I moved three months later.
4) Avoid strenuously negative thoughts. If you put a lot of energy into anticipating that something is going to be horrible and painful and disastrous, well, guess what - that’s exactly what’s going to happen. If you catch yourself falling into a panic, try to refocus the energy into “the best possible outcome.”

Hello, March! ☀️ I brought you my latest topic, this month. Although, this ain't Lazada ❌ or Shopee's parcel ❌, rather from a different courier service (LBC Express) 📦✔️! You two, have you seen this particular parcel before? 🤔 Their response was "Nay".
Its cool because for the first time, I'm opening this different parcel and see what's inside! Check out my recorded video, a month ago. 😁🎦📲
My Recorded Video [edited by: Filmora 9] 🎦🎞️: ↓
My Brand New Smartphone: Tecno Spark 20 Pro (w/ my paper dolls) [Recorded: Feb 3rd, 2024]
Okay so, what you see here is my brand new smartphone! I introduced to you the "Spark 20 Pro" from the Chinese based company, "Tecno Mobile" [CLICK ME!]! 😁🆕📱 Yes, that's right! I just struck a luck by winning a brand new smartphone in the Youtuber's phone giveaway, since winning another smartphone in 2019 [CLICK ME!]! Aw, Goody-goody joy! 😃🍀 Which we'll to get to that later. Right now, it is time to review of my first Tecno smartphone (feat. my paper dolls) in one sitting!
So, without further ado, let's get started!

3rd to 5th Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• As you've already seen in my recorded video, let's transition to my snapshots. 🙂 Here's the packaging of my brand new smartphone from Tecno. My paper dolls we're already excited to see what it looks like! So, let's reveal it, shall we?

• Tada! Look at that gorgeous smartphone! 😄 On the surface, it mimics the well-known Apple iPhone series, particularly the no. 12 to 15 (and soon beyond). Why? Because of the rear triple camera and the square shape edge. 📷📱 Though, the Spark 20 Pro (and their Spark 20 series) had a bigger lens and bigger edge compared to the modern iPhones. Making it a mockery, but they wouldn't be sued because why not? Also, a bigger lens makes it better quality, right? I'm not sure, but we'll find out. 🤔 So, isn't it beauty, you two? I can't wait to make a snapshot with my new phone! 😊
• Nevertheless, aside from the main phone itself, the box contains a sim ejector tool, a fill up warranty card form (which I was supposedly said that in my video), a 33W wall charger, a USB charging/data transfer cable (Type A to C) that supports 33W, and finally the transparent jelly phone case. There was supposedly another related 12-month warranty card, to no avail because the Youtuber that was originally owned forgot to put it. 😥
• And hey speaking of Youtuber, here's the video about it. ↓😉
youtube
• Her name in YT is "Liz Tech", and she's a YouTuber/Vlogger content creator, who has 618K subscribers and 475 videos, as of this typing.
My Real Story here was: While I was browsing and watching phone reviews on the same platform, I saw this particular video w/ the giveaway raffle. 😮 However, should I take chances on winning my own brand new smartphone is like joining a lotto by buying a single ticket. Actually before that, I was utterly jealous and depressed after seeing my family got their cool gifts while I don't during Christmas of 2023. And I was frustrated and crying... For real. 😠😭 So much so, that my little brother and my mom cheering me up by helping me earning some funds to buy a brand new smartphone for 2024. Thankfully, however, it never happened because with one comment entry I made on her Youtube video, she handpicked me as the winner of the brand new smartphone! Rejoice! <='D And yeah, that's my Real Story, but we're not done this topic, yet! <=] So, let's continue.

11th to 14th Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• So, I've already turned on my new Tecno phone, and here are the specs of this phone. Other features that can do are the ability to create a custom AI wallpaper (and other such things, like changing fonts), a multi-tasking window by opening two or three apps limited, an NFC built-in for NFC-related objects (which I tried with my transportation card and it functions well), two AI sensors located at the aforementioned rear camera, a so called "Dynamic Port" notification located at the above of punch-hole camera, which mimics the iPhone's owned "Dynamic Island", and dual grilled speakers by DTS sound located on the top and bottom side of the phone that can reach up to 400% volume. I tried it on Youtube listening to the Costa Rica video in 1440p, 60fps (though not supported in 4k) and it was pretty damn loud, all right. 🔊📲 Also, I did not mentioned the punch-hole front-facing camera during my recorded video, which possessed a 32-megapixel camera and a surprise hidden flash located on the left side of the phone. 📸📲 And to be honest, It was a huge step up to my Honor 8C's 8 Megapixel front-facing camera. I tried it myself, and it was pretty damn good. Though some might say quite decent. Another thing I want to talk about the processing chipsets, armed with the "Mediatek Helio G99" for the CPU, and "ARM Mali-G57 MC2" for the GPU. Capable of handling selected games with either Ultra (sometimes) or High graphics settings, although notable hiccups depend on what game apps you've played. Meaning, that playing "Genshin Impact" (a HEAVY mobile game, and also not a fan or interested in) could suffer a lower framerate than 30fps. To be honest, I haven't tried it myself because I don't usually play games on mobile game. So, I'm casual here. Meanwhile, the display itself is not an AMOLED display ❌ but rather a Full HD+ IPS display ✔️, which is fair owing to the pricing, and we'll get to that, later in the "Overall" section.
• Honestly, there's so much thing to talk about, its impossible for me to do so. For more info specs about the Tecno Spark 20 Pro 📱, then please → [CLICK ME!]. And if you want more reviews about it, then I suggest that you should search on YouTube. There are tons of reviewers who are try getting hands on the Tecno Spark 20 Pro with their honest thoughts if not many reviewers. Or maybe this one better → [CLICK ME!].
• But, what about the 108 Megapixel camera? Is it good? 🤔 Let's find out, and I have right here! ↓

• Here are my first two snapshots using my new smartphone from Tecno. When I transferred it to my google drive (, which I haven't tried to connect to the PC via USB cable), the images were big at 9000 x 12000 resolution with a quality snapshot size of 12 Megabytes to 16MB and up, and that was from the 108 Megapixels. I also tried the switch off the 108 Megapixel mode, and it's now a normal 50 Megapixel (or something). Which had less resolution and less quality size images at 5 Megabytes to 8 MB, and sometimes at 9 MB. But back to the 108MP mode. I would say, it is pretty neat and again a huge step up to my Honor 8C's least megapixel camera of just 13 Megapixels. However, a 108-megapixel camera doesn't make perfect, though. Because some objects didn't adjust the detail, textures, color balances, and intrusive shadows. So much so, that I decided to make some tweaks before my final decision, which thankfully became an industry standard of editing photos via smartphone rather than transferring them to PC for an hassle editing. And to be honest, the only thing I could adjust on every snapshot is the sharp quality image than anything else. lol 😅🤷‍♀️ On the plus side, it has "Super Night Mode" for a serious snapshots during night hours. Which also I haven't tried it, yet, but I could at least turn off the lights as an alternative way.
BTW: I was surprised, that tumblr can handle the uploading 20MB size of snapshots/artwork rather than 10MB as their limitation. Good for you. 👏😊

• Here are some more photos from the main camera, featuring a sim tray was removed from my Tecno phone, which by the way, a dual sim card and a micro SD card slot expanded up to 1TB capacity size, and two snapshots of the Spark 20 Pro's information specs, with and without a flash. And the latter was A-Okay, I still prefer the Honor 8C's led light over the Tecno Spark 20 Pro, though. Because the led light of the Spark 20 Pro was a bit warmer side than the solid white counterpart. 🤏

20th & 21st Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• Lastly, the front-facing camera. Here are my examples, and from the looks of these, there once again pretty impressive. Even the details were slightly washed out when it zoom in, though. This is a very step up for my front-facing camera usage. Heck, it even possessed a "Super Night Mode", as well, delivering a decent job. Guess, I don't need to share some more front-facing photos to prove it (I suppose). 😊👍

22nd to 25th Image(s) 📷📲: ↑
• All right, I've got one last thing to do before my overall and experience thoughts. Here, I'm comparing the old Honor 8C that I claimed the prize in May of 2019. And you could tell their sizes, heights, camera lenses, and their screens (which were unseen) were completely different from their respective design. Sorry, I never get a chance to take more snapshots of their different sides and button layouts. On the plus side, my paper dolls were appreciated and I've owned two smartphones from my winnings rather than earning profits to buy a brand new one. 😊📱📱
My Experience:
• As of now, I'm still using it within a month, with zero issues, and completely intact whatsoever, even the tempered glass screen protector built-in had no cracks, only minor scratches. My old Honor 8C, on the other hand, showed its aging from usage, the back of the phone had already peeled off from wiping, mostly beside the fingerprint scan, and the tempered glass had two huge lines of cracks when I unlocked the phone. Now back to my Tecno phone, I decided to tweak the battery settings to make it more longevity by lower the refresh rate to "auto" instead of staying 120Hz because of battery consumption. Yes, the 5000mAh battery was huge (at the time), nowadays, it became a default standard on all modern smartphones, particularly the budget line. Another thing was switching off the virtual memory for the same reasons. Still, I have no plans to install heavy mobile games (even if I finally getting hands on the 1TB Micro SD card). I was gonna install "Asphalt 9 Legends", but I was so busy doing things. Other than that, though, it is perfectly fine. 📱😊👍
Overall & Asking Price:
• I'm enjoyed my new smartphone from Tecno Mobile, and man, I'm thankful enough to getting hands on absolutely FREE by winning instead of buying with my earnings. 🥰📱
• As for the price of this phone, this 16GB RAM version I have cost ₱7,999 ($142) 💵, while the 21GB RAM version cost ₱8,499 ($151) 💵, as of March of 2024. (Both from the official online shopping site and physical phone stores nationwide) And despite the pricings, it is officially a "Budget Smartphone" with remarkable specs and neat features that rivals the mid-range/flagship smartphone lines (sometimes). In all honesty, there's not much difference between the two, same specs with different RAM choices. Although, she should've review the 21GB version instead of the 16GB of the same phone, but that's just ME. I think I'm happy with what I've claimed! 📱😊👍
Well, that's all for now! 😊 More topics to come, very soon. In the meantime, I have another parcel coming up, so please → [CLICK ME!].

April 2023 Intuitive Astrological Energy Forecast
April brings yet another month of transitions of fate as we enter Eclipse Season which gives us insight into where our lives are heading into the next couple of years.
Remember: Pluto tears down before transforming… THIS is the lens through which to view the following energies. This is a good thing! I will be pinning this post for easy future reference as there is A LOT to unpack here… Let’s get into it, shall we!
Notable Aspects & Energies:
April 3- Mercury enters Taurus, simultaneously Squaring w/ Pluto until June 11. Mercury will also retrograde back through Taurus on the 21st which extends its time here in this Square. This is always a time to slow down but this year with Pluto and other outer planetary influences in play, we may also be pulled to make some changes in how we communicate, take care of our needs, and even possibly Life directions. In the April to June time frame mentioned we can expect upheavals in commerce and finance on a collective and personal scale showing where systems cracked in March that had not truly been fixed.
Mercury Retrograde on the 21st will be a perfect time to reflect on changes needing to be made and full REflection, REview, and REdo’s are welcomed. Mercury and Uranus meet shortly after the retrograde which will help bring clarity and when Mercury has finally left its shadow we will have a full picture of what changes we need to bring into our lives.
April 6- Full Moon in Libra, Sun conjunct Chiron near Jupiter, & Mercury conjunct lunar North Node forming a sextile to each Saturn in Pisces and Mars in Cancer. Libra Full Moon are opportunities to bring focus to important relationships in our lives in order to restore balance. This moon will give space for intense healing in those relationships closest to us as long as we keep patience and commitment at the forefront. Chiron and Jupiter give the chance to heal and release toxic conditioning within ourselves that no loner resonates in order to get to OUR core truth, not what we have been TOLD is our truth. Chiron sitting in Aries at this time helps us remember what inspires us within our healing process. Jupiter energy helps this happen on a grand scale and see the positive side of the healing process. Saturn and Mars come in the mix to take all this healing deeper and with more intensity and commitment. Some may feel tested in matters of self esteem causing feelings of loneliness and isolation, while others may feel restricted in finances and things our hearts were set on not moving along as quickly as we had planned.
April 11- Venus enters Gemini & squares Saturn in Pisces April 13 This transit may find us blessed with a charming vibe, very chatty with our communication and possibly a little flirty. We may be more apt to try new things with our friends or relationships to keep things interesting and fun. Multiple income sources can open up or we may see our heads above water if money has been an issue recently. Then on April 13 when Venus squares Saturn there are indications of more challenges in romance and money. Extra effort will need to be spent on both and delays in money expected are possible. Revising your income situation and attention to relationships is encouraged here. This is also a good time to get a favorable response to any urgent requests you may have pop up.
April 19/20- New Moon Total Solar Eclipse in Aries at 29 degrees/Sun Square Pluto in Aquarius
This New Moon Total Solar Eclipse has a few energies worth noting. One one hand it acts like a helper to cross into new energies we will be exploring the next few yrs as we transition from the old ways into the new ways. On another hand, transitions are mysteries because we have never been where we are as we shift. Unknowing causes fear and we will need to face that fear head on. This is where Pluto comes in and pressures us in big ways to stop playing small. Depending on what that means for you, this could bring power struggles from those comfortable with you being small. Pluto transits come into certain areas of our life and unearth what is hidden or buried. It reveals what we have ignored in order to face it and transform. Adding eclipse energy in the mix brings up that which we fear letting go of, yet we know that is exactly what is needed. The bright side of this aspect comes from Mars, Mercury and Uranus in sextiles helping our intuition to be super strong and our emotional states to help motivate us in next steps for our future.
Tumblr media
April 20- Sun enters Taurus (Exact at 1:13 am MST)
After its Solar Eclipse in the last degree of Aries, the Sun slides into Taurus early in the morning. Taurus is about security, safety, growth and abundance yet the past couple of years, many of us have felt anything but. This is due to the position of the Lunar North Node squaring the Sun when it enters Taurus. Our foundations shake and at times and our purpose can become blurry and unclear. This is the last cycle of this energy here as the North Node is moving out of Taurus this year. Uranus is also in Taurus and when the Sun transits it, we may feel the desire for freedom in certain areas of our lives and giving us a look into what firm steps we have or have not taken towards the freedom we crave. Uranus is a trickster tho so plot twists are common and grounding is recommended.
April 21- Mercury stations Retrograde in Taurus
Mercury Retrograde in Taurus highlights the importance to SLOW DOWN! This is a perfect time to think all the things through that you experienced up to this point of 2023 and plan our next moves for the foreseeable future in our day to day life, communication, travel, and projects around the home. Connecting to nature or ones self during this downtime will benefit as we continue to hit Pluto energy until June. Before Mercury dances backwards it comes semi close to Uranus which could possibly be indicative of unexpected information or news that will require thoughtful processing before moving forward
🤍There are many other aspects this month and some of the transits above may affect some more than others based on where they land in conjunction to your personal chart. ALWAYS keep in mind that YOU are what you have within your control. YOUR actions, YOUR responses, YOUR grounding practices, YOUR calming techniques, YOUR intuition, YOUR mindset, and YOUR healing are in YOUR POWER. Pluto feels like an asshole at first but you can build a house on top of a new house. You MUST tear down the old to graduate into the new. These glow ups in life usually happen with a Pluto energy and when the dust settles, you will look back with gratitude on how you’ve grown and how much more you have in your set of tools to propel you to your purpose!💫

15th June >> Mass Readings (Except USA)
Thursday, Tenth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: Green: A(1))
First Reading 2 Corinthians 3:15-4:1,3-6 The veil over their eyes will not be removed until they turn to the Lord.
Even today, whenever Moses is read, the veil is over their minds. It will not be removed until they turn to the Lord. Now this Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, with our unveiled faces reflecting like mirrors the brightness of the Lord, all grow brighter and brighter as we are turned into the image that we reflect; this is the work of the Lord who is Spirit.
Since we have by an act of mercy been entrusted with this work of administration, there is no weakening on our part. If our gospel does not penetrate the veil, then the veil is on those who are not on the way to salvation; the unbelievers whose minds the god of this world has blinded, to stop them seeing the light shed by the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For it is not ourselves that we are preaching, but Christ Jesus as the Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. It is the same God that said, ‘Let there be light shining out of darkness’, who has shone in our minds to radiate the light of the knowledge of God’s glory, the glory on the face of Christ.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 84(85):9-14
R/ The glory of the Lord will dwell in our land.
I will hear what the Lord God has to say, a voice that speaks of peace. His help is near for those who fear him and his glory will dwell in our land.
R/ The glory of the Lord will dwell in our land.
Mercy and faithfulness have met; justice and peace have embraced. Faithfulness shall spring from the earth and justice look down from heaven.
R/ The glory of the Lord will dwell in our land.
The Lord will make us prosper and our earth shall yield its fruit. Justice shall march before him and peace shall follow his steps.
R/ The glory of the Lord will dwell in our land.
Gospel Acclamation cf. 1 Thessalonians 2:13
Alleluia, alleluia! Accept God’s message for what it really is: God’s message, and not some human thinking. Alleluia!
Or: John 13:34
Alleluia, alleluia! I give you a new commandment: love one another just as I have loved you, says the Lord. Alleluia!
Gospel Matthew 5:20-26 Anyone who is angry with his brother will answer for it.
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘If your virtue goes no deeper than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.
‘You have learnt how it was said to our ancestors: You must not kill; and if anyone does kill he must answer for it before the court. But I say this to you: anyone who is angry with his brother will answer for it before the court; if a man calls his brother “Fool” he will answer for it before the Sanhedrin; and if a man calls him “Renegade” he will answer for it in hell fire. So then, if you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering. Come to terms with your opponent in good time while you are still on the way to the court with him, or he may hand you over to the judge and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison. I tell you solemnly, you will not get out till you have paid the last penny.’
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture of the Day - March 19, 2024
A. The First Dominion of the Messiah
B. What Were the Last Days of the Israelites?
C. Why Can We Not still See the Mt. of the House of The Lord at Jerusalem?
From the Bible’s King James Version
A. Micah 4:1-8 But IN THE LAST DAYS it shall come to pass, that the MOUNTAIN OF THE HOUSE OF THE LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people (like a running stream of tourists) shall flow unto it.
And many nations (as tourists) shall come, and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.”
For the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks. Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
“IN THAT DAY,” saith the LORD, “I will assemble her that halteth (those who didn’t receive Christ at the first); and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted (Christ’s faithful followers who were driven out of the temples and suffered many afflictions—forming them into Christ’s image); and I will make her that halted—a remnant; and her that was cast far off—a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.”
“And thou, O tower of the flock (Jesus/Yhswh), the strong hold of the daughter of Zion—unto thee shall it come—even the first dominion: the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.”
B. By careful study of Jeremiah chapter 25 along with Zechariah chapters 12-14 and Isaiah chapters 2, 13, 24 and more—you’ll see the Last Days of the Israelite beginning with the birth of Jesus/Yhswh the Christ and ending in 70 A.D. with Christ coming to punish Jerusalem, then all other nations—which is full meaning of the Greek word ‘parousia’.
C. Prophet King DAVID (in Psalm 102:26), Apostle PAUL (in Hebrews 1:1-12), and Apostle JOHN (in the Revelation 20:1-10)—had a grip on what happened at the ends of Earth’s Ages; and by the Revelation 20:7-10 we see that the Mountain of the House of the Lord disappeared to another of Earth’s realms, when Satan brought his army and surrounded Jerusalem and the ‘Camp of the saints’ at the last Feast of Tabernacles for that Kingdom Age; and that’s exactly why we cannot see the FIRST DOMINION OF THE MESSIAH in the earth today.

Joseph Sold Into Egypt
(Sunday March 3rd 2024)
Genesis 37:12-36
Golden Text: And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.Genesis 37:19-20
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
As you will recall, Jacob went to the land of Laban his uncle. There Jacob met and loved Rachel. Jacob agreed to work seven years to obtain Rachel to be his wife. At the end of seven years it as time for Laban to keep his promise and Rachel to become the wife of Jacob. But Laban had planned how to take advantage of the situation again. Instead of sending his daughter Rachel as promised, he sent in the darkened tent Leah and Jacob consummated the marriage with her. The next morning Jacob was extremely upset, but Laban had a plan. Laban made some protest that he could not give the younger daughter before the elder daughter but Laban made a promise to Jacob. Agree to serve seven more. years and after the honeymoon period with Leah (1 week) he would also send Rachel to be wife of Jacob. But this meant seven more years of labor..
Faced with the ultimatum this was, he could walk away and lose them both, or agree to seven more years but have the fruit of that promise in one week. Jacob, for the love he had for Rachel, agreed to serve seven more years.
The second seven years was up and now Jacob wanted to leave and go back to be with his family in Canaan. Laban however, recognizing the blessing of God upon Jacob and Laban for Jacobs sake, said in effect, name your price and continue working for me. The two agreed that Jacob would take all the multicolored sheep and goats and for these he would serve.
Near the end of the time of service for the various animals, the sons of Laban decided that God had blessed Jacob but really all that He had blessed him with really belonged to their father. They encouraged their father to think the same way and to start the plan to get all of the animals that had been his wages for the past 6 years.
Jacob met with his wives Leah and Rachel and by then Bilhah and Zilpah. They agreed to go back to Canaan with Jacob. That all that had been acquired belonged to them and their children.
Laban was shearing his sheep in another part of the land and while he was shearing sheep they quickly got there things together and left and headed back towards Canaan. And now the focus shifts to Joseph.
Joseph had become his fathers favorite, because Joseph was the first born child of Rachel. Rachel was the one he had bargained for to be his wife. Joseph had become an informant against the other brothers not doing their work properly. To make it very obvious about his favoritism, Jacob had made Joseph a coat of many colors. Because they had great numbers of sheep and goats, they were always going someplace and looking for places to feed the flock.
Adam Clarke (1762-1832) tells us:
“with this chapter the history of Joseph commences, and sets before our eyes such a scene of wonders wrought by Divine Providence in such a variety of surprising instances, as cannot fail to confirm our faith in God, show the propriety of resignation to his will, and confidence in his dispensations, and prove that all things work together for good to them that love him. Joseph has often been considered as a type of Christ...”
Genesis, starting in chapter 12, is the story of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-Israel and that period of time God promises the land of Canaan first to Abraham repeats His promise to Isaac again to Jacob-Israel. Starting in chapter 37, the narrative switches from Abraham Isaac and Jacob-Israel to one arrogant and self assured son of Jacob-Israel named Joseph.
Wikipedia has much to say about Joseph:
Birth and family
Joseph, son of Jacob and Rachel, lived in the land of Canaan with ten half-brothers, one full brother, and at least one half-sister. Joseph was Rachel's firstborn and Jacob's eleventh son. Of all the sons, Joseph was preferred by his father, who gave him a "long coat of many colors". When Joseph was seventeen years old, he shared with his brothers two dreams he had: in the first dream, Joseph and his brothers gathered bundles of grain, of which those his brothers gathered, bowed to Joseph’s bundle. In the second dream, the sun (father), the moon (mother), and eleven stars (brothers) bowed to Joseph himself. These dreams, implying the supremacy of Joseph, angered his brothers (Genesis 37:1–11) and made the brothers plot his death.
Plot against Joseph
In Genesis 37, Joseph's half-brothers were jealous of him. Most of them plotted to kill him in Dothan, except Reuben, who suggested they throw Joseph into an empty pit; Reuben intended to rescue Joseph himself later. Unaware of this plan to rescue Joseph, the others agreed to sell Joseph as a slave. Upon imprisoning Joseph, the brothers saw a camel caravan carrying spices and perfumes to Egypt, and they sold Joseph to these merchants. The guilty brothers painted goat's blood on Joseph's coat and showed it to Jacob. Jacob therefore believed Joseph had died. (Slain by a wild beast). These brothers had to know that this news would have crushed Jacob.
Potiphar's house
In Genesis 39, Joseph was sold to Potiphar, the captain of Pharaoh's guard. Later, Joseph became Potiphar's servant, and subsequently his household's superintendent. Here, Potiphar's wife tried to seduce Joseph, which he refused. Angered by his running away from her, she made a false accusation of rape so he would be imprisoned or killed.
Message Text: Genesis 37:12-36
12 And his brethren went to feed their father's flock in Shechem. 13 And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I. 14 And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. 15 And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou? 16 And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks. 17 And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.
Note that verse 12 clearly indicates the brothers of Joseph went to feed their fathers flock in Shechem. Shechem was some distance away from the main camp but was necessary because of the large flocks and herds. Verse 13 tells us that Israel dispatched Joseph to Shechem where he believed the other sons were feeding the flock and Israel said to Joseph, Go and see how things are going with your brothers and the flocks and bring me word again. It is clear from the past that Jacob-Israel knew Joseph would make a full report including what wasn’t being done properly. He was trusted to that by his father. Verse 15 tells us that when he was in Shechem looking for his brothers a man asked him who was he seeking and Joseph said I seek my brethren where are they feeding the flocks. The man replied in verse 17 they departed thence and I heard them say they were going to Dothan, so Joseph went to Dothan.
Adam Clarke says:
Go - see whether it be well with thy brethren — Literally, Go, I beseech thee, and see the peace of thy brethren, and the peace of the flock. Go and see whether they are all in prosperity. Genesis 37:4. As Jacob's sons were now gone to feed the flock on the parcel of ground they had bought from the Shechemites, (see Genesis 33:19,) and where they had committed such a horrible slaughter, their father might feel more solicitous about their welfare, lest the neighbouring tribes should rise against them, and revenge the murder of the Shechemites.
18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. 19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. 21 And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him. 22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.
This group of verses lets us know that there was a difference among the brothers as to what should happen to Joseph. Most of them conspired (conspired means “1. To agree, by oath, covenant or otherwise, to commit a crime; to plot; to hatch treason.” Webster’s 1828 Dictionary.) The majority wanted him dead when they recalled his dreams where the sheaves of his brothers had bowed down to his sheaf, indicating that he believed that they would serve him and bow down to him. This caused them to envy and they had murder on their minds. However, Reuben heard about the plot, the plan and said let us not kill him. Reuben argued, shed no blood. Cast him into the pit, lay no hand upon him. Reuben intended to rescue Joseph and deliver him back to his father again.
Adam Clarke says:
“Behold, this dreamer cometh. - this master of dreams, this master dreamer. A form of speech which conveys great contempt. ...Come now and let us slay him - What unprincipled savages these must have been to talk thus coolly about imbruing their hands in an innocent brother's blood! How necessary is a Divine revelation, to show man what God hates and what he loves! Ferocious cruelty is the principal characteristic of the nations and tribes who receive not the law at his mouth. ...Reuben heard it - Though Reuben appears to have been a transgressor of no ordinary magnitude, if we take Genesis 35:22 according to the letter, yet his bosom was not the habitation of cruelly. He determined, if possible, to save his brother from death, and deliver him safely to his father, with whose fondness for him he was sufficiently acquainted....”
23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; 24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. 26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? 27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.
When Joseph got to his brethren, they stripped him out of his coat of many colors. They took him, cast him into a pit - an empty pit in which there was no water. Then the other brothers sat down to eat bread. As they were eating bread, a company of Ishmeelites came with their camels. As you will recall, Ishmeelites are the relatives of Ishmael who had been cast out of the camp at the insistence of Sarah. Judah was trying to convince them it would not be good for them to slay his own brother and spill his blood. His compromise was to sell him to the Ishmeelites and the brothers were content with selling him.
Adam Clarke says:
“They stripped Joseph out of his coat - This probably was done that, if ever found, he might not be discerned to be a person of distinction, and consequently, no inquiry made concerning him. ... They sat down to eat bread - Every act is perfectly in character, and describes forcibly the brutish and diabolic nature of their ruthless souls. ... We may naturally suppose that this was a caravan, composed of different tribes that, for their greater safety, were traveling together, and of which Ishmaelites and Midianites made the chief. ...”
28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt. 29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes. 30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go? 31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood; 32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no. 33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.
The brothers picked up Joseph out of the pit and sold Joseph for 20 pieces of silver. As you will recall, Jesus was sold for 30 pieces of silver. They brought Joseph into Egypt and when Reuben returned to the pit, where he thought Joseph was staying, he realized he was gone and he ripped his clothes in disgust. He was upset because they had sold him and they somehow convinced Reuben to agree to make it appear as if Joseph had been killed. They dipped his coat of many colors in the blood of a goat and they sent the coat of many colors to their father and said to their father this is what we found. Know now whether it be they sons coat or not. And Jacob knew it and said, It is my sons coat and evil beast has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt rent or ripped in pieces. This news had to crush the heart of Jacob. His favorite son was dead. How these boys could live with themselves is hard for me to understand. They wanted their father to believe the lie. And they conspired to agree - even Reuben who wanted to save his life.
Adam Clarke says:
“For twenty pieces of silver - In the Anglo-Saxon it is [Anglo-Saxon] thirty pence. This, I think, is the first instance on record of selling a man for a slave; but the practice certainly did not commence now, it had doubtless been in use long before. ... Reuben returned unto the pit - It appears he was absent when the caravan passed by, to whom the other brethren had sold Joseph. ... The child is not; and I, whither shall I go? ... Sent the coat of many colours - to their father - What deliberate cruelty to torture the feelings of their aged father, and thus harrow up his soul! ... Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces! - It is likely he inferred this from the lacerated state of the coat, which, in order the better to cover their wickedness, they had not only besmeared with the blood of the goat, but it is probable reduced to tatters. And what must a father's heart have felt in such a case! As this coat is rent, so is the body of my beloved son ...”
34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days. 35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. 36 And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.
The Scripture says Jacob rent his clothes, put on sackcloth and mounded for his son many days. How could his sons have done this to him? I do not understand the agreement between them that caused nothing but grief and aggravation. His sons who knew the truth, at east part of the truth and his daughters who probably did not know the truth, rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He had lost Rachel and now he had lost Rachel’s oldest son. Every day he would think about one or both of them. Every day he would mourn. And he wept for him. In the meantime the Midianites sold Joseph into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s Captain of the Guard.
Adam Clarke says:
“All his sons and all his daughters - He had only one daughter, Dinah; but his sons' wives may be here included. But what hypocrisy in his sons to attempt to comfort him concerning the death of a son who they knew was alive; and what cruelty to put their aged father to such torture... Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's - The word saris, translated officer, signifies a eunuch...Captain of the guard. - chief of the butchers; a most appropriate name for the guards of an eastern despot. If a person offend one of the despotic eastern princes, the order to one of the life-guards is, Go and bring me his head; and this command is instantly obeyed, without judge, jury, or any form of law. ...”
We first deal with something that happens in the life of Judah, but by the time we get back to Joseph in Chapter 39 we find that:
1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him (Joseph)of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him (Joseph) down thither.
2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian (Potiphar).
3 And his master (Potiphar) saw that the LORD was with him (Joseph), and that the LORD made all that he (Joseph) did to prosper in his hand.
4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him (Potiphar): and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand (of Joseph).
5 And it came to pass from the time that he (Potiphar) had made him (Joseph) overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
We will find that Joseph is accused of forcing himself upon the wife of Potiphar. Yet it is believed that if Potiphar actually believed his wife, Joseph would have been executed, immediately. But no, Joseph is sent to work in the prison system, where he soon becomes a trustee (type) and assists the keeper of the prison. But that will wait until we come to Chapter 39. Next week we will learn of two historical events that are not of much concern to Joseph and the line to Messiah.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we come before You remembering all that Joseph went through. He was envied by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused and falsely imprisoned. Sometimes we go through similar trials, when we do the right thing and still get in trouble. But You were with Joseph in his trials and You will be with us, too. You bless obedience to Your commands. Help those of us who are parents to love our children wisely and equally. Remove arrogance and boasting from us, so we do not speak foolishly, as Joseph did in his teen aged years. Help us to live righteously day to day, as Joseph did in Potiphar’s house, and to be faithful stewards at our work, as Joseph was. And Lord, when hard times come into our lives, help us to trust You, to remember that You hold the outcome of each circumstance in Your hand, that You will work all these things together for our good, as we love You and are faithful to Your calling and Your purpose. Thank You Lord. This I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen and amen.

1 John 1:7 If we live in the light — just as He is in the light — then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from every sin.
Ephesians 4:7 Each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
Matthew 4:19 “Come, follow me,” [Jesus] said, “and I’ll show you how to fish for people.”
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
James 4:2 You do not have because you do not ask God.
Luke 10:41-42 …you are worried and bothered about so many things; 42 but only a few things are necessary, really only one…
May you be confident that God will not forget you in the place He has put you, nor abandon you in the task that He has given you. Though it feels He has closed you in, and even shut you off from contacts and connections that others enjoy, you can be certain that His hand of guidance and protection is upon you, and you have missed nothing of importance to you, or lost anything of significance for you. Let Him be the Source you turn to for your needs, and count His provision as the indicator of what you need, to distinguish between “need” and “want.” Genesis 8
May you recall that when sin abounds, even more shall God's grace abound just as the sign of His covenant, the rainbow, is visible when the presence of rain brings up the fear of flooding. Genesis 9
May you be content with what God has given you, at peace with those around you, giving of what you have to those in need, showing God's love and compassion, rejecting the covetousness of material goods and ambition for worldly power that filled Nimrod with unrest and dissatisfaction, causing him to rebel against God. Genesis 10
Stay diligent, My child, the time is not yet to lay down the tools or turn in the weapons I have assigned you. I will come and give you refreshings through My Spirit and bring you to greater understandings in My Word, but the march continues, for time is short and the harvest is waiting. Do not look back at past accomplishments, lest pride overtake you, and do not gaze long toward the end of the fields at what remains, lest despair defeat you. Remain attentive and alert for what is at hand that you may hear and obey what My voice is speaking to you.
May you walk in the spirit of repentance, ever mindful of the carnal nature and ever prepared to defeat it by turning from it, whether to the grace and compassion of Jesus or the austerity and sternness of John the Baptist. Matthew 4
May you prefer the diligence of honest labor to the idleness of intemperate riches, that you might learn the practices and disciplines useful to your spiritual walk in Christ. Matthew 4
May you call to the Lord in prayer and seek His mercy, knowing that the Lord, Who is righteous, has set apart the godly for Himself. Psalm 4
May you receive the reproof and respond to the rebuke that Christ, the Wisdom of God, brings into your life, by the Spirit of the Lord, from the Word of God, through the Body of Christ, each confirming the other, speaking loudly and plainly and publicly, declaring the same message to all, using the same standard for each, calling the simple from their love of gullibility, the mockers from their joy of disparaging, and the fools from their pleasurable ignorance. For if you will heed His warning, He will pour out His thoughts to you, bring forth His Spirit in you, and make His words known through you. Proverbs 1:20-23

an honest assessment
"put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow — for their wickedness is great." joel 3:13
there is no more stretching it out. all the fall feasts we were looking to have passed. first we looked to trumpets, the long held belief of the church rapture. when it passed we looked to atonement as a possibility. finally we placed our hopes in tabernacles. yes, surely it would be tabernacles. just look at boaz and ruth as typology for the great wedding at the end of the harvest.
alas - "the harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved!" jer 8:20 does that mean that all hope for this year must be delayed for the next? are we to go through this cycle again as we have in previous years?
i don't see how the rapture could possibly be delayed. i know many believe we must endure the tribulation, but i see nothing but pre-trib in my readings. the church is not destined for God's wrath. i am not arguing that point in this message.
but honestly, looking at the world and all, i see the tribulation being an imminent event. even the earth is crying out in volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis, all predicted by our Lord. and yes, such evil and corrupt ways that would make sodom feel right at home. as the worldly march blindly along towards destruction, nuclear war is being talked of as just another skirmish.
all the tools to seize control are being built up, i.e., money control, AI for propagada, war to stir their fears and food shortages to drive their need. we see a world ready for a savior to appear - a false christ, the anti-christ.
and now israel again takes center stage. "they have said, 'come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of israel may be remembered no more.'"psa 83:4 athough a lot of nations are now in support of israel, soon their approval will turn to blame.
this is the urgency sign we have all unknowingly needed to happen. mother israel is seeking to bring forth her firstborn. though travail has begun, her real pain will come after the delivery has been accomplished. just as her rebirth alerted us to the fact the final generation had begun, her travail now alerts us to the fact the birthing is near. "before she was in labor, she gave birth; before her pain came, she delivered a male child." isa 66:7
so travail has begun. "'shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?' says the Lord. 'shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?' says your God." isa 66:9
when a woman is pregnant, an estimated time of delivery is given, but no specific day. is this how it will be with the rapture i ask? is it not a fulfillment of a feast day but an entirely new thing? "behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?" isa 43:19
i take you again to our opening scripture. "put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow — for their wickedness is great." joel 3:13
great is their wickedness. the whole world is flooded and overflowed by it, so that it can no longer contain it, but, as it were, cries to God to end it. the long suffering of God no longer availed, but would rather increase their wickedness and their condemnation.
if a sign is to be watched, keep you eyes on israel. as her pain increases it means the birthing is nearing. in the meantime, we occupy. we try to persuade as many as we may that they also can be saved from the wrath to come. "for God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ" 1 thes 5:9
after all these years of having so many quote us their one verse: "but of that day and hour no one knows," wouldn't they joy in the fact if they were correct? i know many quote it mockingly and some quote it because they are too lazy to watch, but others quote it from a sincere heart.
but even as daniel studied the books and learned the Father's timing, many too have studied and watch with expectant fervor. we know when fruit is ripe to pick and when bread is baked to eat. we know the season we are in and be it six or seven years of seeing possibilities occur, we know that it is well within the measure of God's seasons and if He didn't want us to watch He would have told us.
we keep looking up to the One we love most. our gaze must be almost continual now. this year is still in play. "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. has He said, and will He not do? or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" num 23:19 our blessed hope is even at the door.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR JUNE 12, 2023
When Failure Is Victory
By Kayla Reay (Victoria, Australia)
READ JUDGES 20:18-28
[The Israelites] asked, “Shall we go up again to fight against the Benjamites, our fellow Israelites, or not?” The Lord responded, “Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.”
JUDGES 20:28 (NIV)
"The story in Judges 20:18-48 used to confuse me. The Israelites asked God for counsel on whether to go to battle. God told them to fight. The Israelites listened, and they lost, suffering 22,000 casualties. The Israelites went back to God to ask for counsel, and the reply was the same. They lost again, suffering another 18,000 casualties. A third time, the Israelites went before God and asked for counsel. God answered, “Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.” Finally, the Israelites won.
As I read this story, I wondered, Why would God clearly guide the Israelites and then allow them to fail? It didn’t make sense to me. But this past year, when I faced my own apparent failure after following God’s will for me, I saw this beautiful truth: God’s ways are not our ways and God’s thoughts are not ours.
In each battle, the Israelites were learning the best strategies to prepare them for future battles. And most important, they were learning to have complete faith and dependence on God despite the circumstances. God sees victory even in our apparent defeat because God knows the important lessons we are learning along the way." Prepare yourself for anything. Be there ready to react or respond. We can totally trust God and know He has it all handled right now. Not to worry about anything!
TODAY'S PRAYER
"Heavenly Father, may our strength in you never falter. And may you continue to finish your perfect work in us." Amen.
Judges 20:18-28
"'18 Then the Israelites marched up to Bethel to ask for direction from God. They inquired, “Who should go up first to fight against the Benjaminites for us?” And the LORD said, “Let the tribe of Judah be first.” 19 So the next morning, the Israelites got up and camped near Gibeah. 20 They marched out to fight against the Benjaminites, lining up in battle formation against them at Gibeah. 21 But the Benjaminites marched out from Gibeah and cut down twenty-two thousand Israelite men that day. 23 So the Israelites went back up and wept before the LORD until evening. They asked the LORD, “Should we move in again to fight our relatives the Benjaminites?” And the LORD replied, “March out against them.” 22 The Israelite troops regrouped and lined up in battle formation again in the same place they had lined up the first day. 24 The Israelites moved in against the Benjaminites the second day. 25 But the Benjaminites marched out of Gibeah to meet them on that second day and cut down another eighteen thousand Israelite men, all of whom were armed with swords. 26 Then all the Israelite troops went back up to Bethel and wept, just sitting there in the LORD’s presence. They fasted that whole day until evening. Then they offered entirely burned offerings and well-being sacrifices to the LORD. 27 Now in those days the chest containing God’s covenant was there, 28 and Phinehas, Eleazar’s son and Aaron’s grandson, was in charge of ministering before it. The Israelites asked the LORD, “Should we march out once again to fight our relatives the Benjaminites or should we give up?” And the LORD replied, “March up, for I’ll hand them to you tomorrow.”' Be blessed at all times. Worthy Brief - March 9, 2023
Do you feel used?
Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
While on the road to Damascus, Yeshua (Jesus) appeared to Saul, blinded him, and directed him to go to Damascus. There, God spoke to Ananias of Saul and told to lay hands on this troubled man. Ananias did as he commanded and Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit, healed of his blindness, and immediately baptized.
In another instance, while Cornelius was praying, God sent an angel to tell him "Go and find Peter and he shall tell you what you need to do." Cornelius, along with his household and friends, did what he commanded, and God used Peter to bring them all into the Kingdom!
God could have easily brought both Saul and Cornelius into the Kingdom without the intervention of any believer – but that was not His plan. He used Ananias, Peter and countless others to finish what He had already started!
In the same way, God wants to include us in His plans! He has been speaking to people in our families, neighborhoods, offices and everywhere else we go! He has been drawing them gently and He wants us to be a part of their salvation!
God still speaks to his people, does he not? And we are his sheep and know His voice, do we not? Let's use this time of stress and turmoil -- as an opportunity to share the good news to a world that is ripe for harvest!
Your family in the Lord with much agape love,
George, Baht Rivka, Obadiah and Elianna (Going to Christian College in Dallas, Texas) Baltimore, Maryland
