[Holloway maneuvers to an empty parking space near the apartment and pulls up her car. Checking on her phone again, she tries to look for the room's address sent to her. Eventually she finds it and knocks on the door]

[lex opens the door just enough to peek through the gap. when she sees miss holloway, she lets out a breath she wasn't aware she had been holding and opened the door the rest of the way.]

"hi, miss holloway. you can come in."

[A voicemail has been left, and all you hear for a few seconds is sniffling and sliding around.]

"Ohg- is this? Aw fuck this- oh nonono, this isn't... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I-"

[You can hear the speaker drink out of a bottle, before going back to sniffling and speaking with a cracked voice.]

"Fuck- how do you hit the hang up... I can't- oh fuck.. God I miss Deb- I can't do this shit and n-"

[Before the sentence can end, the voicemail ends.]

[lex's phone ringing wakes her up, but it doesn't wake her up fast enough to answer the call. as soon as she hears the "ding!" of a new voicemail, she groggily presses the play button.

the voicemail alice left wakes her up almost like a splash of cold water in the face. they extract themself very carefully from their shared bed and go into the hallway to call alice back without much second thought.]
