Liet's tatoo is Eglė the Queen of Serpents, who is screaming at her relatives, who killed her husband and tortured children, their bodies are pierced with the branches of her children, who became trees. The yellow monsters are two-headed basilisks (guess whose emblem is referenced, starts with r). The owl is the goddess of death Giltinė, sister of Laima (luck). Fire for beauty. :))

unpopular opinion: canon is funny and, while problematic (esp older stuff it's p sanitized these days esp since being published in jump) pretty good imo

most badass character: canonically erszi lol though they pretty much all are, really

pairing i'm not a fan of: [gestures] p/olhun and p/olukr ime tend to be like. in theory i'm not opposed to them (and i don't care that much) but ime western fans of them tend to be at least a little homophobic and that's just absolutely turned me off of them lol

character i feel the writer screwed up: asdf like i said the other night early canon bela leaves a bad taste in my mouth, though....i don't hate early canon, generally, but there's a lot that's like "hm. idk about that" even aside the obvious w/w2 stuff or anything wrt c/hina and k/orea........anyway po also deserves special mention here imo (again like i mentioned the other night) i feel like hima was originally going to Do Something? more w him and then kinda just never did and i've been thinking about that a lot....forever fascinated by what could have been though i am a little glad he never went too in depth w actual w/w2 stuff (which is where i suspect we'd have seen more of po, though i could certainly be wrong).
