Yes, The Don gets the boot, but how many Republicans will remain boot-lickers? Seems like Lindsey Graham has his tongue stuck to the bottom of The Don’s shoe. Congratulations Lindsey, in a unanimous vote, you win the “Sycophant of the Decade Award.”

Mittens Romney, whose occasional expression of dismay over The Don’s actions, took off the Mittens and took The Don to task. But honestly, I’m tired of hearing that Mittens shows courage and independence. Crawling out of your bunker every few months to venture your dissent only to slink back in to hiding leaves me cold. Where is your voice on The Don’s atrocious handling of the pandemic? Umm, thought so. I guess that makes sense, as you are the one who thought it was okay to tie your dog, like a piece of luggage, to the top of the car, and believed he was having fun. That takes a lot of denial and wishful thinking.

Many are shocked that The Don decided to tell the American people that he won before all the votes were counted.  Really?

Let’s examine the reasons why he thought won.

It was unfair that pollsters were counting votes after election day, even though the ballots were cast before or on election day.

He didn’t understand that you can’t choose which states to count votes.

He didn’t think it was legal for people from rat-infested cities like Baltimore to vote. So unfair, so unfair.

There are so many more Red states then Blue ones. If he has more Red M&M’s than blue ones, red wins, right?

Millions of people dressed up as other people and voted twice. The Don said: We have evidence of this. A detailed report will be coming out soon. QAnon is working on it as I speak.

Putin promised me that I would win.

There is evidence that at least 5 million dead people voted, and since Joe Biden is practically dead, they felt closer to him and voted for him. You’ve seen the “Walking Dead,” that stuff is real.

Most importantly: I never lose, so this is all fake news.

Frankly, anyone who understands The Don’s pathology, his malignant narcissism, could have written his ludicrous rant. Translated, it goes: I am The Don, I control the world; if it doesn’t go the way I render it, there is something wrong with the world as there is never anything wrong with me. That’s why I win, win, win; and never lose.

His response to the results of the election are identical to his response to the pandemic. “This can’t be happening because I didn’t deem it to be.” Once again we witness The Don’s delusional process at work, hoping if he repeats over and over that the election is illegal, rigged, a fraud, a conspiracy against the greatest president who ever lived; and that it is he, who is democracy greatest defender.

The next 74 days will be like no other transition of power in this country. Anyone believing The Don will go lightly into the night is living in their own alternative reality. Everything he has done and said before tells us that he will do whatever he can to burn the house down. The chances that he can accept defeat graciously are zero! It is not in his DNA. The Don’s entire life is predicated on destroying others in order to avoid losing: losing exposes his underlying smallness and the humiliation it brings is intolerable. He will do anything and say anything to twist reality so he doesn’t have to experience this. Up until this point in his life, he has miraculously escaped every situation that could have confronted him with his true self. He will never accept defeat and when he eventually leaves the White House (willingly?) to start Trump TV, he will turn his rage toward Joe Biden, just like he did to Barack Obama. He will continue to be a force in politics and continue to stoke fear and resentment and seek revenge on those who have usurped his power because that is the only way he can protect himself from connecting to his smallness. The good news is that those of us who do not want to ever hear from him again won’t have to because he no longer will be president. However, his desire to remain relevant to his supporters will make him a real force in Republican politics and he will have no qualms inciting people to violence. Maybe his first guest will be Steve Bannon, who recently called for the beheading of Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Yes, The Don has lost; and the country, for a few moments, can exhale. Millions took to the streets in celebration. Church bells rang out in Paris like they did after the Germans surrendered; in London, there were fireworks. The perpetual state of anxiety that many Americans were thrust into for four years has been mitigated, though pharmaceutical companies are probably upset as profits may decline because fewer people will renew their prescriptions for anti-depressants and Xanax.

The Don made democracy fray at its seams, but the people pushed back. Democracy prevailed. Enough of us felt that another four years would catapult us into an autocracy. It is remarkable that nearly 150 million people voted during a pandemic.

It is also remarkable that 70 million people voted for a man who separated children from their parents, supported White Supremacists, banned Muslims, called Mexicans rapists, is a vowed sexual predator (Access Hollywood tape), was impeached (remember that), is in Putin’s pocket and did nothing when he was given high level intelligence information that Russia paid bounties to the Taliban to kill Americans, paid no taxes, covered for the Saudi Prince who murdered a Washington Post reporter and attacked science promulgating an alternative reality (with the heinous silence and collusion of Republicans) that the coronavirus is about to take a hike, when we are being ravaged and setting records for infections with 1,000 people dying every day.

Experts are saying that by the time Biden takes the reigns that there could more than 200,000 cases a day and increasing death tolls. It didn’t have to be that way, and the task before Biden and Kamala is enormous. Long after The Don is gone, our country will be paying the price for his incompetence, indecency, and heinous disregard for human life. Rather than being closer to a point where would are containing the spread, we are heading in to a very dark winter that will take a much longer time to come out of. The economic costs will be graver than necessary and tens of millions of people will continue to struggle with existential issues of food and housing insecurity. As for The Don, he will seek refuge cheating at golf and not give one iota of thought to the suffering of the American people.

For people of color, members of the LGBQT community, Muslims, immigrants and other marginalized groups, there is relief that his malignant man has been banished and hope that Biden and Kamala Harris’s policies will embrace, protect and uplift them. But these communities also see the numbers of Americans who voted for a vengeful, carnival barker who has deceived them into believing he is speaking for them, that he cares about them. Despite all they have seen and heard, his capacity to stoke fear, resentment and divisiveness allowed them to cast their ballot for a White Supremacist, a man totally void of empathy and morality.  What message does this communicate to these communities? What does this say about America and its capacity to move forward and embrace equity and inclusion?

It galls me when I hear pundits create moral equivalents between the Right and the Left’s extremism and the need for people to come together. I am all for coming together; this country will have a hard time surviving if we don’t. But the Right in this country (which at this point is the Republican Party) has been stoking racial animus, creating obstacles to voting, promulgating abhorrent and dangerous conspiracy theories, stoking violence by White Supremacists groups, and working against equity and inclusion for years. The violence at Charlottesville did not have good people on both sides. Torch-bearing White Supremacist and Nazi groups chanting anti-Semitic tropes are not the same as people fighting for racial and social justice. The oppressed fighting back is not the same as the oppressor asserting itself. Fighting for social justice shouldn’t even be a movement: it should just be. But as sobering as it is, this is America.

But America is also the place where a Black Indian Woman with an immigrant mother can become vice president. Let’s hope that that the part of us that could make that happen is the part that moves us forward during these challenging times.

I had planned to end this blog with the defeat of The Don, but given the way this transition is going to go down, I thought I would stick around and wait until he actually leaves the oval office and Biden is sworn in. Hold on to your seats!

SNK 109 Review

A Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy Edition

So just as I predicted, we are seeing the start of a schism on Paradis.

On one side of the divide you’ve got a right-wing extremist faction composed of Floch, Louise, Zeke, his cult, and Eren (the Eldian Freedom Caucus, if you will) and on the other, a moderate faction composed of the other members of the 104th, Hange, Levi, along with other high ranking members of the government. (The establishment, again, if you will)

The conflict between these two factions is an incredibly political one (squeee!) with both sides trying to out-flank each other and gain the upper hand.

Of the two, the establishment faction is the one currently on the defensive. Most of the maneuvering by it’s members involves containing the EFC and just trying to figure out who’s side Eren is on. In other words, they’re being reactive, playing defense. As a result, the EFC has the freedom to seize the initiative and go on the offensive, as they have in this chapter.

It makes sense that the establishment would be on the defensive right now. Eren is such an important figure that any plan against the EFC will involve him as a key player.

Thus, before they can formulate a strategy, they must know who’s side Eren is on. The 104th has openly debated this amongst themselves, but Hange has also gotten involved as well. Their scene with Eren at the start of chapter 108, in hindsight, can easily be read as them trying to get a read on Eren. As them trying to get a feel for his allegiances.

Levi and Zeke’s bromantic comedy in the woods is also a part of this maneuvering, but it doesn’t need much expounding upon because how this figures into things is obvious. Zeke is dangerous so they’ve secluded him in the woods with their top soldier to keep watch on him.

The maneuvering by the EFC, aka Zeke’s faction, is shrouded in mystery. Because of course it is.

Has anyone here been following the news? If you have you’ve probably heard of Robert Meuller’s investigation into L’Affaire Russe, Russia’s (failed) attempt to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. Part of this investigation involves determining whether President Trump was complicit in this attempted influencing.

In his writings on L’Affaire Russe, Josh Marshall, editor-in-chief of the left-leaning Talking Points Memo news site, made an analogy about conspiracies that can be applied to Zeke. Conspiracies are like black holes.

Black holes cannot be seen. All light that approaches them is sucked in so you end up with a black object against a black backdrop. But they can be observed indirectly. Scientists observe black holes indirectly by measuring the influence they exert on objects that can be observed directly. For example, the gravity from black holes distorts the light traveling around them resulting in a “lensing” effect. By measuring the degree of visual distortion, scientists can determine the black hole’s size, among other things.

Conspiracies are similar. Many aspects of a conspiracy may not be directly knowable. It’s size, scope, etc. But you can get a good feel for it’s size and scope by observing it’s apparent effect on things that are directly observable.

Take L’Affaire Russe for example. There’s the Veselnitskaya meeting, Trump’s inexplicable fealty to Putin, the fact that Paul Manafort, massively in debt to a Russian oligarch, chose to work for Trump’s extremely pro-Russia campaign for free, etc, etc. Conspiracies can’t be seen directly, but they can be indirectly seen.

And so it is with L’Affaire Zeke, which is the name I’ll be using to refer to the apparent conspiracy Zeke has masterminded against the establishment. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and there’s a fuck-ton of smoke here. Seriously, I didn’t subtitle this post “a vast right-wing conspiracy edition” for nothing. Words cannot describe how fucked Paradis is if things are as bad as they seem to be. We’re talking “Donald Trump was a spy for the Russian government the whole time” levels of bad. 

The establishment was planning on feeding Zeke to Historia immediately, but then Historia conveniently got pregnant, thwarting their plans. This implies that Zeke somehow roped the queen in.

According to Pixis, there is reason to suspect Floch facilitated a covert meeting between Yelena and Eren, and during this meeting Eren was apparently turned to Zeke’s side. In other words, L’Affaire Zeke may have successfully infiltrated the military.

It doesn’t end there though. In this chapter the EFC leaked to the public news that Eren has been imprisoned, clearly in an attempt to undermine public support for the establishment. These people may be shithead nationalists, but they’re smart too.

Floch knew he couldn’t convince the establishment to free Eren, but you know what he also knows? That if enough public pressure were to be applied, they’d have no choice but to release Eren. Eren is seen by the public as a hero. As far as the public is concerned, Eren’s reckless action in Marley resulted in a resounding victory; the revelation that he’s been imprisoned for this will naturally stir outrage. Floch knows this so he leaked news of Eren���s imprisonment to the press knowing the people would support his call for Eren’s release.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Floch Forster is leading a fucking psy ops campaign to get what he wants.

We don’t know what Zeke is planning, but it’s clear his reach, even in the midst of enemy territory, is seemingly boundless. The sooner he’s dead, the better.

The story has low-key been building up to this for a while now. I’ve mentioned the contrast the story has drawn between Jean and Floch in an earlier post. And in hindsight, the scenes in chapter 108 strongly play into this as well. The scenes of Hange and the 104th trying to deal with their Eren problem, along with the implied existence of L’Affaire Zeke. Things will only continue to escalate from here. The heart and soul of Paradis is at stake.

This fight is exemplified in the conflict between Eren Yeager and Armin Arlert. And it is a conflict that mirrors not only the real world fight for the heart and soul of the United States but also the one for the heart and soul of Western civilization itself.

The ideology of the EFC, of Zeke, Floch, Louise, and possibly Eren, is an inherently backwards looking right-wing nationalism. They long for days of past glory, of days when Eldians ruled the world. It’s the politics of nostalgia at its most toxic. Eldians are oppressed and they don’t just want restitution, they want revenge. They feel a deep grievance over the indignity their race has been dealt.

(Note that “indignity” is an understatement here. I use it because that is exactly how they would describe what Eldians are dealing with.)

But the connection goes deeper than that. Right-wing nationalism, as a way of thinking, is strongly informed by a dominance centric worldview. The right-wing worldview is defined by an unshakable belief that there is a social Darwinian war of the races where defeat means death. They see the world in purely dichotomous terms. Strong vs weak. Dominators vs the dominated. Eldians vs the world.

And yes, there is a racial conflict brewing here, but the important difference is that the nationalists believe this conflict exists as a matter of course rather than as the result of circumstance.

This dominance centric worldview naturally leads to an obsession with strength, with being strong so you can win and achieve security.

That is the ideology of the EFC, including Eren. Eren rejects the notion of interracial coexistence completely. We all saw what he said at the gun range in chapter 106. (It was 106, right?) But what’s notable about that scene is that it saw Eren’s nationalist worldview pitted against Armin’s worldview.

If the ideology of Eren Yeager is nationalism, then the ideology of Armin Arlert is cosmopolitanism. Armin thinks the races can live together peacefully. He believes in a world where people of different creeds and ethnicities, through compassion and understanding, can overcome their differences and find happiness together. Like a true cosmopolitan, Armin sees himself as a human first and as an Eldian second.

It’s funny. This series started with wannabe spider-men killing silly looking giants. Now look at where we are. The final conflict of the series will be just as much a battle of ideas as it will be a physical one. And it couldn’t be more politically relevant to our world. Nationalism vs cosmopolitanism. That is one of the central conflicts of the series.

Decades from now, when our children are in high school, they will most likely be taught that the defining social conflict of 2018, indeed, of the entire decade of the 2010s, was nationalism vs cosmopolitanism. Not just in the United States but throughout the western world.

In the United States, this cleavage is embodied by the conflict between the Republican Party of Donald Trump (the nationalists) and the Democratic Party of Barack Obama (the cosmopolitans).

In Europe the nationalists are the various nationalist political parties that have grown in popularity in most countries. Marine Le Pen’s National Front in France, the AfD in Germany, the Sweden Democrats in Sweden, etc. The cosmopolitans are the supporters of the European Union, a pan-national organization created to emphasize unity among nations so as to avoid another continent destroying war.

This is what we’re dealing with here. Nationalist vs cosmopolitan. Republican vs Democrat. Trump vs Obama. Eren vs Armin.

(Why yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, I did just lump Eren in with the Trumpmeister.)

Who wins here, Eren or Armin, depends on what kind of story Isayama wants to tell. Are human beings more like Donald Trump, insular and petty. Or are we more like Barack Obama, flawed but ultimately judicious with a seemingly endless well of compassion.

So who will win?

In our world the winner will almost certainly be the cosmopolitans. People of different backgrounds can and do live peaceably together and what’s more, there are measurable benefits to this. There’s a reason why cities are the drivers of economic growth and not comparatively less diverse rural areas. Bringing people of different backgrounds physically together, like in a city, allows for an easier exchange of opinions and ideas, and that leads to more creativity and innovation. That means greater prosperity for everyone. Cosmopolitanism will win because the benefits are obvious and human tribalism always yields in the face of practical benefit.

This is in stark contrast to the world of Attack on Titan. In that world, the narrative is seemingly on Eren’s side. The nationalist one. The immoral light the EFC has been presented in notwithstanding, the narrative seems to nevertheless be saying that humans are nationalists by default and that this cannot be overcome. The story apparently presents it as a tragedy, but it is ultimately inevitable.

That’s wrong. It doesn’t have to be this way.

It was almost painful to read that scene at the gun range in chapter 106 because Isayama is so obviously siding with the nationalist camp. Eren the nationalist gets to make his points clearly, meanwhile Armin and Mikasa struggle to even articulate their views. Armin’s beliefs are framed by the narrative as being idealistic and naïve even though the facts are on his side.

In ways both subtle and obvious, the nationalist bug is spreading. The people of Paradis cheered at the victory in Marley just like how Floch and his ilk cheered on the airship. They cheered in a fit of nationalistic fervor. That is probably the clearest indication of where the series stands: people writ large are nationalists.

Okay, what else.

You know, one thing I find annoying is when writers try to give their stories an air of “seriousness” by using technical terms. Like how during Kiyomi’s conversation with Zackley she refers to him as the “head of state.”

The head of state for Paradis, the one tasked with performing the ceremonial functions of the executive,  is Historia Reiss, the reigning monarch. If I’m not mistaken the arrangement is that Zackley actually governs Paradis because the military are the ones in charge and Zackley is commander-in-chief. That makes him the head of government, not head of state.

This is me being petty, but as a politics nerd it comes off as try-hard and it rubs me the wrong way.

Alright, time to address the elephant in the room.

Gabi and Kaya.

Their scenes were one of the hardest in the entire series for me to read. I almost decided not to.

It has been speculated that Isayama believes in a right-wing nationalist politics. I have never had as much of a sinking feeling about that notion as I have after reading this chapter. At the very least, I think the message Isayama is trying to convey, if not pro-nationalist, is definitely misguided.

In the real world there are people who believe we should be more mindful of the crimes our ancestors committed. The imperialism of Europe, of the United States, and yes, of Japan as well.

Those people are opposed by the right-wing nationalists. “Social justice worker” is the term they often use.

If you ask one of these nationalists to describe a sjw, they’ll paint a picture of someone obsessed with “the unforgivable sins of our ancestors” to the point of raving lunacy. In the minds of nationalists, social justice workers think that crimes committed centuries ago taint the descendants of the perpetrators alive today and that those descendants cannot be forgiven for their ancestor’s actions. The clearest example of this is the case for reparations: some sjws believe that the United States government owes currently living black people reparations because of slavery, even though slavery was abolished over 150 years ago and no one currently alive lived through it. Right-wing nationalists think this is madness.

Sound familiar?

Right-wing nationalists often caricature leftists as being people who’ll list off every single immoral act committed by their own country (or people) at the drop of a hat. Is Gabi, at least as far as chapter 109 is concerned, one of those caricatures?

Let’s back up a bit. I’ve told you about the caricature, now let me tell you about the truth.

There is indeed a strain of thought that overemphasizes historical sins. The most famous example of this is Howard Zinn and his book A People’s History of the United States. The series pushing against this way of thinking is not wrong.

What is wrong is the conceit this series has that the descendants of the perpetrators owe nothing to the descendants of the victims.

This is false for two reasons.

Firstly there’s the governmental perspective. At the end of the day the inescapable fact is this: Paradis is the legal successor state to the Eldian Empire and so the legal and moral obligations of the empire devolves to them. The Eldian Empire ceased to exist when, after Erwin’s coup, sovereignty was transferred from the Fritz family to the military. But the legal and moral obligations of the Eldian state also transferred.

That does not justify what the Marleyans are doing. And in light of the circumstances, I don’t even think reparations are called for. But Paradis owes something to the world; it doesn’t have to be much. A formal rebuking of the Empire’s actions would be enough.

Secondly: the impact of past actions resonate throughout history. No white person alive today partook in, for example, the partition of Africa. But that doesn’t mean white Europeans alive today don’t owe black Africans anything. The wealth white Europeans alive today enjoy is founded on a system of racist, imperialistic exploitation that had the effect of impoverishing the African continent. People in Africa continue to deal with that impoverishment.

This system, more or less, no longer exists, but regardless, ALL white Europeans benefit from it to this day which is why white Europeans are collectively indebted. Europeans, collectively, are wealthy because part of that wealth was stolen. Thus, there is a debt to be paid.

Note, though, that I’m using the concept of collectivity to argue for the existence of some intergenerational obligation. This is a facet of the debate the series completely ignores which is why its treatment of this issue is shallow at best and a kind of excuse making at worst.

The government of Paradis owes the world something but Kaya is right that Eldians as individuals don’t owe the world anything. This is not, however, because of the general principle that “the sins of the father should not be visited upon the son,” as the series would have you believe. It’s because the institutional system of oppression the Eldians used to dominate the world has been dismantled. Whatever benefits the Eldians accrued has since been taken away.

The end result, on a meta level, is a message that amounts to a tautology: that people who owe nothing to you don’t owe you anything. Not the most insightful of messages to be sure.

The series seems to have this conceit that denies the intergenerational nature of the oppression our racist society enables. That’s bad. In the context of a world still dealing with the consequences of racially motivated imperialism, it’s worse.

The subtext here is that the victims of imperialism aren’t owed anything by the descendants of the perpetrators because they (the descendants) weren’t personally involved. That is a common right-wing talking point. 

If I didn’t know this story was being written by an ethnic Japanese man, I would have said it was racist.

When I made this video, I was only interested in one question - the question of religion and some thoughts about the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Bible is a fascinating book that provides more questions than answers. If through this book, you try to understand the purpose of creation or God (if you are a believer), then most likely you will break your brains and at best end up in a psycho-nerve clinic. And in the worst case, as it happened to me, you will be closed from the outside world in a City Mental hospital with a severe schizo-type mental disorder-a disease that threatens you with very unpleasant consequences for your health, up to a fatal outcome. There are things in the world that we ordinary people, at this stage of human evolution, are not given to understand. No matter how many times I asked various clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church about the plan and creation of God, I heard only silence in response. I mean, I didn't hear anything. Based on these answers, I have the right to believe that neither the Pope or Patriarch Kirill or the leaders of any other religions themselves know the answer to this question. Therefore, I made a conclusion for myself and some compromise way out of my situation to understand God from the point of view of morality. There is an easier book to read that is part of the Bible - the New Testament. I decided for myself that it doesn't matter if there was such a person named Jesus 20 years ago. It also doesn't matter to me whether there were any miracles associated with the resurrection of the dead and the healing of the sick. Nor does it matter to me whether it is fiction or truth, or whether Jesus was a God or a man. After reading the New Testament several times, I came to a conclusion. That, suppose I read a fairy tale and in it a man named Jesus says very simple and understandable things from the point of view of common sense, it would seem that everyone should understand. Don't kill, don't lie, don't steal, don't commit adultery (i.e., don't cheat on your wife or your husband) , etc. Seven capital truths + the sermon on the mount-the meaning of both is to be friends with common sense, so that you and the people around you do not perish, but thrive. And it doesn't matter to me whether there was a person like Jesus or not. What matters to me is that what he said is actually right from the point of view of common sense.

A little bit about the Russian Orthodox Church and why our country lives in poverty, in diseases, in a low quality of life, in unemployment and all the outrages that we are seeing now at the moment. For all this grief, we are not responsible, not God (who allegedly allows people to believe in him, as the priests of the Russian Orthodox Church like to say), not the political elite-the top led by Putin and his associates. The Russian Clergy, from the Patriarch to the smallest Clerk, are responsible for all this. All those who graduated from the Seminary and decided to devote their lives to the service of God. The problem is that it is not enough to graduate from a Seminary to see, and if they do, they are deprived of the word. Fear is ingrained in them and they don't have the willpower to carry out their mission the way real clergy should. Who allowed such immoral people and still allows (I'm talking about the political elite) to rule such a huge country with the largest reserves of natural resources? Who is silent when there is an unfair trial of the innocent? Who hides behind a mask of humility and distributes them to other people, thereby taking away their freedom and making us passive in all areas of life except buying candles for the fence for the Church? Who, hiding behind the Holy gospel and the vociferous baritone of his voice, with prayers from books, and not from the heart, inspires the simple ordinary person with a sense of guilt because he does not worship or pray correctly, or because he does not attend the Liturgy very often, because he does not repent of his sins or receive communion too often. They will find a million reasons to make the common people feel guilty, and they will not find a single reason to say their word to the elite, who really need the criticism and guidance of the clergy. Their fear is rooted in our elite, not in God, which means they have neither the truth nor the Holy spirit, as they like to say.

When the soldiers come, or famine, or all sorts of coronaviruses, or AIDS, as the punishment of heaven for gays or any other disasters, first of all they will blame everything on our sins and say that this is God's punishment for our immoral acts and disobedience. Do not be Deceived when they tell you this kind of ridiculous nonsense. There is no divine punishment. There is connivance, fear and moral degradation of the Russian Orthodox Church, which allowed all this through its humble silence in front of those who really deserve criticism, preaching, instructions and instilling a sense of guilt and fear of God. Because it is politicians who are at the helm of all state processes that directly affect our lives. Russian Russian Orthodox Church has proved its arrogance before the ordinary Russian people long ago, at least by that ridiculous law, which it willingly approved, in order to protect itself from the truth within the framework of the Constitution, I am now talking about the law "on insulting the feelings of believers" that is, on insulting them.

Reagan’s speech at the wall had done the heavy lifting, or so they evangelised. Saint Reagan was soon canonized and, despite his obvious descent into Alzheimer’s and senility in his second term, they committed to milking the legend from that day on. Let freedom ring out in the form of low taxes and diminishing regulatory oversight. Except for the plebs. They’re going to pay for everything, and when the inevitable crises occur, they’ll pay for the missteps of the rich too. Socialism for Donald Trump, Dickensian capitalism for the rest of us. Smelling the writing on the wall, the right wing of traditional workers parties took the initiative and joined the neoliberal sing-a-long. Abandoning their base, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Paul Keating, Jean Chrétien et al set off on the path to establishing the interest rate lever as the undisputed brake and accelerator of the globalising economy, banishing Keynes to the economic wilderness. Corporate privilege treaties were sold as “free trade agreements” and slowly but surely the working class was consigned to irrelevance. Seeing no way of differentiating itself on economics, the right set about turning the political discourse to culture. Without the communist menace to frighten suburbanites with and with growing disquiet amongst social conservatives at the noisy LGBT liberation movement, they found new boogeymen to shriek against. Political correctness was false flagged as an attack on free speech (when it was just a social understanding that to be a dick towards vulnerable minorities was no longer polite conversation), while the specter of a “Cultural Marxist” conspiracy lurking in liberal arts departments, complete with anti-Semitic foreign invader alarmism, formed the bedrock of the new opposition rhetoric. They managed to concoct a framework that used the language of enlightenment and conscience to deceive the electorate that they were in fact protecting them. From non-existent terrors. Now, this framework has spiralled completely out of control of the conservative establishment. It has evolved into a full on paranoid political insanity that casts all threats to US capital interests as a function of a hidden elite, a socialist globalist paedophile racket of pure evil. I assure you, this is what they really believe. The delusion festering at the heart of Western right wing discourse can be summed up thusly;

As conspiracy theories go, it’s right up there with the secret invasion of Earth by alien lizard people. The conservative safe space social media platform Gab.ai is packed full of clickbait for clickservatives. Every objection to its legitimacy is met with hostility, accusations of conspiring with evil doers, of being a cuck, of being in the headlights of Hollywood stardom, of Al Gorism. Capitalism just needs to be freed from regulation, with taxes on the mighty extinguished and everything will be perfect again. Like during the robber baron era. Ummm... The problem of course is that after three and a half decades of neoliberalism, on just about every metric, the system is now working against everyone except the super wealthy and a miniscule number of their professional enablers. The GFC, as pointed out by political economist Mark Blyth, was capitalism’s comeuppance, but a disease where the symptoms have been insufficiently treated and the cause is left to produce new, more toxic symptoms. As the malaise of corporate capitalism has manifested, the right has dug into its market fundamentalism with a new indignation that is hateful and bigoted. There will be no justice for anyone who can’t afford it! "Shut your mouth social justice warrior, the bullies are back in charge!” Meanwhile the poor people of the Islamic world, long suppressed under despotic military dictators and absolute monarchies, which have spread a vile Wahhabist militancy to even the gentler, confrontation averse people of the Indonesian and southern Philippine archipelagos, are now facing the full brunt of two far right demagogues, Putin and Trump. This, after having only recently shown there’s a revolutionary Arab, mostly left secular, spirit ready to stand up to tyrants. But they’re all baby rapists with an agenda to enact Sharia law from Birmingham to Brussels, didn’t you know? “Regressive leftie!” The commodities that most Muslims can derive an income and future from are powering the greatest threats to the long term survivability of civilisation too. Climate change through the burning of fossil fuels, and biodiversity loss from palm oil plantations. But when you throw your hands up and say “it’s Allah’s will”, concentrating only on getting into the afterlife, you play right into Western capitalist hands. ”IT’S NOT HAPPENING! Climate change is a lie to raise taxes!!!” Now Trump’s support base is wondering wtf happened to Trump’s promises? He filled his cabinet with Wall St insiders, backed a hideous healthcare plan, and his anti-immigration directives have been met with unmoving judicial resistance. His agenda is fragmented and failing. His inexperience telling. Now, his posturing with North Korea, Syria, Russia, and China could easily lead to World War 3. If conservatives had made a Saint out of Major General Smedley Butler of “War is a Racket” fame, all of this would be unthinkable. But hey, at least he got the pipelines up and running and the climate change restrictions lifted, right? Hooray! No more generating your own power from a source that can’t be commodified! The democratisation of energy has been suppressed a long time, but now it’s being rubbed out. The madness of market fundamentalism that unravelled in 2008 is doing to 2017 what laissez faire capitalism did to 1929 and 1939. Our future looks bleak and it is entirely the right wing’s fault. This can no longer be disputed with a straight face. Meanwhile the left is being castrated under the deadend of identity politics. We’ve been mustered into a “market society”, one where the behaviour of an idealised economic rational man and his egotism represents the only way of getting ahead and staying there. Selfishness and cold calculation are rewarded and if you speak out against it you’re labeled a heretic, or in the nomenclature of the new conservative “revolutionaries” the alt-right, a cuck. Cooperation, collectivism, empathy, these have been banished from the negotiating table. Ecology be damned. Classical economics WILL be vindicated, by force if necessary. The cognitive dissonance on the right is deafening now. Check out the comments section of any YouTube video concerning climate change, if you dare. The vitriol is spine tingling. Cultural Marxists! Cultural Marxists everywhere! But into this caustic and fragile environment has come a very welcome economic theory of everything. Called “Doughnut economics”, Kate Raworth (obviously a secret Marxist lesbian with ties to Al Gore and Hillary Clinton), has poured cold water on a couple of centuries of economic rationalism, providing us with a new Keynesianesque vision of economics that lives within the planet’s means. I know, frightening huh? What will happen to straight white men’s milk and cookies? The right will no doubt explode in indignation as it climbs its way up the Amazon book charts (7th with a bullet at the time of this writing). “FREEDOM!” is the cry they will attempt to deceive us with. Don’t believe them. They want tyranny. Orders from above and lemmings down below. They will drive us towards chaos and civilisation’s collapse. Of this I am certain.

Christianity’s Biggest Sin- pt.1

No matter how much of a hardcore Christian you are, you need to acknowledge the passages removed from the Bible and its wrong doing. In case your not familiar with what I’m talking about(which you should if you believe in God so listen up), I’ll fill you in. Now I need to make this clear. I am in NO WAY discrediting the belief in God. In a matter of fact I most certainly do believe in God(I believe in a lot of gods), just not as traditionally but that’s for another topic. 

In case you haven’t realized, most of the countries on this Earth don’t abide by the rules they’ve created. You can kiss the 12 commandments goodbye because rules like ‘You shall not steal,’ won’t get the U.S the oil it needs from Iraq to keep it’s racist, stubborn and rich politicians, rich. Three of the most powerful world leaders(Xi Jinping, Putin, Donald Trump)  at the moment have the power to take over the world for themselves if they wanted to- but that’s no fun because there no one to stay rich off of. You can’t have rich without poor, like you can’t have power without government. You can’t have government without people and you can’t govern people without rules. You can’t have rules without belief. You can’t have beliefs without religion(Yes, atheism is a religion as well. Yes, some believe it isn’t lol). But the U.S built its foundation of policies on Christian beliefs whether you follow them or not. Every single country on this planet has it’s own story of creation in which laid the foundation to build it’s politics on. It’s all politics guys. I haven’t done my research on any other religions except Christianity and Catholicism, but I can say these two have rewritten a lot for their own sake of keeping control of their people. Secrets hold so much power- it can literally defy reality. 

The Holy Bible, the very same one that most Americans swear their life upon, the very same one this Country was built upon, the very same one I put most of my faith into growing up because no one else was there for me in the loneliest times- has been manipulated. The true story of Jesus Christ and God isn’t out there for the world to know. Why? One of the reasons is control. I don’t mean monitoring an individual ‘control’, I mean mind control. It teaches a set of beliefs, specifically this belief of having ‘faith’ in the lord. No matter what obstacles we run into or how bad they are, not to worry because as long as we have our faith in God, we are always headed the right direction. Make sure to pray every now an then, repent for your sins and the gates of heaven are just a death away. But there’s something wrong with that and I’ve always felt this way growing up. Especially for the ones without faith in God. This used to sound really nice to me. It’s not that  it’s evil, it’s just a little deceiving. Parents have a role to play in their children’s life. One of those is teaching the child who to love themselves and to love others and accept even those with strong differences. Like being gay. They are born gay, so how could it be a sin? Does God really believe that? He created us in his image but wants us to completely change what he created to all be uptight, shirt tucking or suit wearing Christian’s and Catholics? Let alone a ‘perfect’ god? Sounds like a contradicting God to me. Just like our beloved United States of America.

  Why would countries build themselves on these religions? Again, for control. They can’t have us understanding our purpose and true potential because we wouldn’t accept living in a corrupt government. We wouldn’t let deceit run our societies and there wouldn’t be wars for killings for materials- because we would have a greater understanding in life. We would know our truth, we would become so much more powerful because we would be humans that don’t rely on materials or others for validation and all that hierarchy bullshit would be buried in the dirt so far deep it would burn at the core of this Earth. We would be the human race we were meant to be and people like Trump, Putin, Hitler all the way to fucking Nero would’ve been locked up or never even exist.

like to know, cause the Republican Party has always bragged about being the Party of Morals and "Family Values", as the Conservative Middle-Class' protectors of America's Working Family.

All the GOP Sins committed since the Great Communicator, and created by all their phony Values...rewarded them with a Man called Trump!...but remember, Karma is in the batter's box, just waiting to cause havoc upon an already tumultuous American Administration!!

Trump style Immorality has been part of the GOP, ever since I can remember...they just left it home most of the week, and a little civil discretion helped, too.

Today, Christian Evangelicals and Right-Wing organizations are heavily promoting Immorality, Hatred, and Bigotry as the new Morality...normalizing it to an even lower standard...and a dreadfully Spineless GOP has embraced the bait...hook, line, sinker!

Now, with the Immorality of a President who lives for just that one sound-byte moment of Indecency, the same man who sets the tone for who "We, the People" are around the World...the Republicans have decided, in the zeitgeist of Trumpism, that Indecency and Immorality work just fine! Ahhyup! Example? Their preparation to royally screw the status of America's Health and commence the Death March for the first 200,000 Americans!

Oddly enough, a major portion of those Americans now condemned to death by the GOP's Trumpcare, are Trump's fanatic  Minions...you know?...the not too bright, not too educated ones Trump loves so dearly? Will their tush be surprised with the kick they are about to receive!! The GOP and their beloved Trumpo, the Orange Orangutan, are throwing them...the whole lot!... way, way under the Bus!

Yes! Mr. Stupid! It's not about his great plans for all those you don't agree with, or despise...they're coming for you too, asshole!! Meanwhile, Donald Trump gallivants around, praising his wonderfully indecent relationships with known murderers Vladimir Putin, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Rodrigo Duterte (who 'personally' commits all his own murders)...and his open admiration for Neil Farage and Marine Le Pen? His disgraceful attitude towards NATO? his crazy far out antics at the Paris Climate Accords and the G7 Summit Meetings? along with his visits to the Vatican, Saudi Arabia, and finally "arriving" in Israel from the "Middle East"!?!?

All the President's antics have made a lot of World Leaders, think twice and totally mistrust The United States. While Russia and Putin's computers continue to disrupt country after country, his Puppet continues on his mission.

The shameless acts and words that have cost our historical allies in France, Germany, and especially Great Britain, for the first time ever, mistrust the intentions of the United States of America!

Yes! We have reached that pinnacle of rotten, totally Incompetent Foreign Affairs Policies, and miserable Amateurish Diplomatic efforts, run by a very understaffed Amateur State Department with orders from an Amateur US Administration. What it means for our Country, and what it means for the rest of the world, is alarming! But, where's our National Dialogue? That's even more alarming!

Doesn't Donald Trump in his 70 yrs. on this earth, ever had any shame or any shred of moral decency?? We all know, he's got no backbone!!

My question still remains; Where are the Goodness and moral Character of this man called Trump?? Where is his Heart? 

ETHICS: How Ethical is his standards of practice? How Ethical is the failed Human Experiment named Donald Trump??

MORALS: The one thing that stands out most about Le Grande Orange, is his total spiritual lack of Empathy or Remorse, His embracement of Ayn Rand's philosophy on the Rejection of Altruism, and his sordid natural gift for his enormous Immoral Behavior, which he holds towards everyone in every sector of our Society, and around the World.

DIGNITY: Dignity? Besides constantly degrading the Dignity of his Office?...The Man is a Pig! His Dignity starts when he falls asleep after Tweeting the World to death, and it stops functioning a few hours later when he wakes up! It only takes one time to see 30 seconds of his facial expressions, to know why Donald Trump is the most undignified US President in this Nation's History.

CREDIBILITY: As a world renowned mega-compulsive Liar, who lies openly in public, and is Guinness Book's "Lies" Record Holder ...where is 'his' Credibility?

SELF CONTROL: The Man has absolutely no Self-Control in Life! Twitter exposed 'that'!...and it's his most dangerous Achilles Heel!
