I love looking through the AA transcripts bc I wouldn't have known that Phoenix does Ryunosukes nervous eye thing during Turnabout Goodbyes if you fuck up a certain part of the courtroom segment.
Judge: Your eyes have a habit of shifting back and forth when you're uncertain. Try taking a deep breath, and think this over once more. Phoenix: R-right, Your Honor.
this interaction is so Ryunosuke coded and I never would've known about it if I wasn't so intent on not relying solely on my memory for writing fics

Odds of Being a Murderer in Ace Attorney
This list contains various members of the Ace Attorney legal system, categorized by profession, and notes if they have committed a murder or have been murdered. The intent of this is to determine which occupation in law enforcement is most likely to be involved in murders in Ace Attorney.
Included are characters (and major spoilers!) from all of the main-line games (as of 2022), both Investigations games, and both Great Ace Attorney games. Not currently included are characters from “Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney,” or anime/manga exclusive characters.
Characters are listed under all occupations they have had, which includes jobs worked as a cover, but does not include one time jobs that they technically should not have been allowed to do (e.g. Edgeworth in Bridge to the Turnabout). A character will be listed as being murdered/a murderer regardless of whether the murder occurred while they had the job in question. People are also counted as having committed a murder if they conspired with/hired someone to do so. While these are the general rules followed, the final decision of who to include where was left to my own judgment.
As The Great Ace Attorney takes place during a different time period, I leave it up to you whether it should be counted or not. Therefore the numbers will be formatted as follows: Number including Great Ace Attorney/Number not including Great Ace Attorney.
The Ace Attorney wiki was used to confirm spellings and ensure no one had been missed.

*Genshin Asogi is counted as the murderer of Klint van Zieks as, regardless of the motivations involved on both sides, it is indicated that Genshin killed Klint in a duel.
