Actually the whole work thing would be infinitely less stressful if I actually knew how to navigate the white collar world and was not from a working class background and I have no idea how anything works because we were poor! No one in my family has done shit like this!

#the duality of fran #like. calling my job white collar is a little laughable #im not like. a lawyer. but in the sense that it's office work and not trades or physical labour #but yeah my family is like. cannot help me at all #and i have SUCH a chip on my shoulder about it #not so much the poor ness but the inexperience. the fish out of water feeling. the ignorance #i don't know how to naviagte this world. it is so far removed from everything i grew up with #and i hate that #(oh adam parrish i get it i get it i get it. its shame and anger and HUNGER)#plus like. i lowkey think some of the financial instability of my childhood #while never severe (we were housed and clothed and fed and by all accounts fine)#just having the threat or miasma of it hanging over us esp when [redacted] happened #like i think that made me especially fearful and wary of career insability or any sort of change or risk
