A few weekends ago I backed into someone's car who was parked. The damage was not extremely significant; it gave him a small scratch that will be easily buffed out and a small-ish dent more on the underside of the bumper. I gave the guy my insurance info and everything, and he is going to file a claim. My question is, since the accident is pretty minor (thankfully) will my insurance skyrocket or anything? I am unfortunately a 17 year old male who recently got his license a few months ago, so I know that doesn't help. Any ideas?

Car hood popped open while driving (apparently was not closed properly when I closed it last) . Damage to windshield and dents on hood. I have a ridiculously high deductible for going to pay myself for the repair. My only question is: I get free windshield replacement thru my auto insurance (no deductible). Why has my car insurance jumped up from 700 to 3000?

Two weeks ago I done some insurance quotes. I was shopping around and doing price comparison sites. I did quotes on a few different car makes and models but all cars were 1.2 or less. All quotes were comin up around 700 and 800 and 900 and up to about 1500. Now when I do quotes on 1.2 cars, or example an old 1994 ford fiesta and1.2 Peugeot kisser they are all coming up around 2000-3000 All my details are exactly the same ad two weeks ago. Literally exactly the same. Could it be the weather affecting the price? Surely not that much though?""

Car insurance arghhhh !!! help? OK how does this sound to you guys? my mum has two cars one of which is insured with me as a learner im 19 and my sisters as a full driver 22 she is also insured with her own car but on my mums so she culd take me out to learn and for emergency reasons ok so the second car is going to be insured under the same company on a diffrent policy with my mum only. aparently this sounds suspecious ?? pepole think the 1st car is mine but its NOT my mum will be the main driver on both i she will decided which car she takes one day and which the other not me but she got the second car because my sister who is insured on the policy aswell well her car broke so she took a lend of my moms which was annoying for my mom coz she needed it and when she takes me out to learn my mom got fed up waiting till we come back to she jist got a second car to aviod that ! when i pass my test yeah i will be a full liceance on the policy im currently on but that does not mean it will be my car ! only time i can driver it is if my mom or older sister is not using it. Earlier today at around 7pm I was in my first car accident. I just got my license a month ago and I am 16. Anyways, I was at a red light and the turning lane had a green light but my lane ( going straight ) was red.
