As someone who streams KH on Discord so my friends can see, we now have an ongoing joke of "If Sora and Kairi endgame, then why Riku?". It's basically just anytime there's a potential moment of Sora and Riku being even slightly canon, we just joke about it in detail.

Yes we still like Kairi, it's just funny how a lot of thematic stuff is based around Sora and Riku's relationship. And also have we all seen the merch of the rings or are we ignoring that?
