kinda weird watching popular waifus drifting out of your periphery... no more asuna fans? no more rem guys? no more megumin enjoyers? no more 02 ride or dies? like im not that familiar with the source materials nor do i care but there's a kinda sadness to it.. like the changing of the seasons. like leaves falling to the ground. but with 2d women

#some of it's also that the ways i engage with anime have changed bc a lot of this was from my early middle school era #and then a lotta my content was based in anime guy youtube #so my notion of what/who was popular came from that #whereas nowadays i think i tend to see that less because the spaces im in are a) less based in recent/airing popular media and b) faggier #which kinda changes the focus a lot #like what are the straight guys into now? power? power csm? i dont know and it's weird that i don't but not offputting #by yhe way i hope this post feels like a shotgun blast to you guys too. like oh my god do you remember them???? whered they go?????
