You know how Descole described Targent as being like a cult, at least when his parents were abducted?
I know he meant in the fact that they were small but incredibly dedicated, but I wonder just how true that sentiment really is
#like…is Bronev literally a victim of cult brainwashing and that’s why he’s so ruthless and uncaring towards his children?#mind you I don’t know much about cults and how they work I’ve only seen some a couple videos on the subject#but I know one thing they do is cut you off from friends and family#also give their members new names so they’d easier lose their sense of self#and Targent uses code names for everyone#though oddly not Bronev#I dunno I might be reaching#I’m still just trying to figure out Bronev here#honestly I’m wishing we knew more about how Targent worked#I once suggested a game following Bronev pre-Targent but what if instead we had a game of him while working for them#and throughout the game we see him be manipulated and slowly twisted from a good man into something we’re more familiar with#that would be pretty dark for this series but fascinating to see in my opinion#I think I may have rambled for too long#I just have a lot of thoughts about this#professor layton#leon bronev#targent#edit: actually now remembering lbmr…maybe it’s not that dark for the series. I mean it’s still dark but#you know#actually I wonder now is this what they were trying to go for with Bronev?#at least at that ending bit?#…nah I don’t think so#they never really mentioned his feelings towards Targent or his experiences there other than Rachel dying
