Awww thank you so much! <3 I had noticed that people like them, though I honestly don't think they're all that special? :} anyhow re: prompts, I hadn't thought of it before but you know what, in case there's an interest for this, you know what? Yes, now I am!

As always no guarantees for swift replies tho, I'll have to see whether I can fit it in with other projects and whether I can find fitting pics :)

& I just remembered, I actually got a question about my moodboards on discord earlier and hadn't gotten around to write a longer reply yet, so I think I'll just answer on here, in case anyone wants to make their own moodboards too :)

First of all, apart from movie stills and cast pics, I'm getting aesthetic™ images off unsplash and pexels, sites where photographers can upload high-quality images for everyone to use without having to worry about copyright (it's still nice to credit them of course, and most often I do link my pics).

Then for the pic selection, I try to either go for one colour scheme (here in hues of 'reddish brown', 'light blue', 'blue', 'green', 'pastel/nude', 'colourful')...

...or two different colours or vibes with one forming kind of an x or + while the others fill in the gaps: here 'light and dark', 'blue/green and orange/brown', 'red and blue'.

& if you have horizontal pics that can be cut into two or three squares, you can also put these on both sides with a different pic in-between, or make one entire line through the middle of the square! The Milippa moodboard I made a few days ago is actually a perfect example both for a moodboard with 2 colour schemes (orange and nude) & for cut pics, all the circles are photos cut in two:

& when it comes to selecting a colour scheme, it's best to take a picture or two that you definitely want in the moodboard, so cast pics or just something really pretty(/story relevant for fic headers) that you want as a centerpiece, edit that a few times (I use photoshop express) to see what colour palettes it could fit into, and then look for other photos that have the same or a similar look that can be edited to have the same vibe 😄

So, once the pictures are mostly selected (always choose more than the 9 you'll need in the end), how do I go from this to this?

Photo editing! First cut them all to squares so it'll look pretty on tumblr, then fix them with brightness, contrast, lights etc to look nice in general before using hue settings or filters to get them into a more similar colour scheme, in this case 'purple and orange with a b&w centerpiece' :) depending on what filters you use, you might have to adjust brightness etc again afterwards, but I still find it helpful to edit those first.

Then, choose which pictures you want to use- you can upload 10 pics to tumblr, so you can switch around in your draft a bit before deciding on a final version- and tada! Your moodboard is done :D
