Ex On The Beach - Chapter Six Teaser (Ex Boyfriend! Tom Holland x Reader)

A/N: Are we coming up to fluff? Or is there going to be all angst? I literally have no idea. But we will find out together! “You look tired,” Harrison frowned as he tried to get a good look at you. It looked as if something was wrong, like maybe he called you at a bad time. He could tell you looked upset over something, but he wasn’t sure if that was in his head or not.

“A little,” you forced a smile as you fought away the tears, You didn’t even know why you felt like you were going to cry. You were happy to hear from him, especially after a day like today.

It wasn’t a terribly difficult day at work, you thought you were good at your job and your co-workers took note. But that was all they ever really did, and nothing more. Tonight you discovered they were all going out to a nightclub to celebrate the week’s end and you were left without an invite.

You weren’t typically surprised since the majority of the crew already knew each other from previous projects. You were essentially the only newbie, and nobody had really made an effort to get to know you yet and it had already been a month on set. You thought you weren’t there to make friends, but it was finally beginning to take a toll on you.

And as much as you hated to admit it, but it was affecting your work. Not having a group of people or even one person to vent to about something, or even just somebody to fall back on when you had good or bad days. Not having those options was beginning to make you make careless mistakes and forget things you once knew like the back of your hand.

When you had Harrison or Tom around, it made such a difference. You’d work together and blow off some steam together, but the job got done because you had a support system. People encouraging you and having your back.

“It’s Friday night, you staying in?” Harrison asked nonchalantly as he noticed you were in your pajamas with a container of takeout by your bedside. How pathetic.

“It’s raining and I’m not feeling too well,” you lied as you looked down at your dinner.

You remembered how Tom and Harrison would always invite you out after the week was over for dinner and drinks. The rest of the crew would come along and you felt like a little happy family. It was a silly thing to miss, but you never realized how much it helped you blow off steam and come back on Monday with a better attitude.
