YIKES
Nineteen women college hockey players were sent to area hospitals after several complained of symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning after a game at Lindenwood University's ice arena Friday night.
Lindenwood spokesman Scott Queen said a University of Wisconsin player was initially treated at a hospital and released. He said 18 Lindenwood players were then checked out at a hospital as well, including some who had reported dizziness.
The two teams played in a game earlier in the evening at the Lindenwood-owned facility in Wentzville.
They said that the game had been canceled due to facility issues, but this wasn’t mentioned. Glad everyone's okay.
