Esta figura equestre de madeira esculpida à mão é originária da Tribo Dogon. Ele retrata um hogon, o detentor do cargo supremo, um líder semidivino de grande sabedoria, um guerreiro ou mesmo um emissário mitológico de uma terra distante, expressando status, prestígio e poder.  Esta figura para o Povo Dogon, traria honra aos ancestrais, ao líder atual e ao dono da escultura.

É feita de madeira esculpida.

This carved wooden equestrian figure by hand is originally from the Dogon Tribe. It depicts a hogon, the holder of the supreme office, a semidivine leader of great wisdom, a warrior or even a mythological emissary from a distant land, expressing status, prestige and power. This figure for the Dogon People, would bring honor to the ancestors, the current leader and the owner of the sculpture.

It is made of carved wood.

The 12x12 exhibition is a great initiative by alumni of Lisbon Faculty of Fine Arts, open to any artist who wants to participate. Each artist delivers 12x12 cm works (a CD cover format), which will be displayed inside of CD cases during the exhibition. All the works are for sale for 12€.
