#florence talks#i could elaborate but i won't#ok maybe a lil#in most books lissa would be seen as the protagonist#she's the one with the special magical power who's royal and is from a great family#lissa is truly The Protagonist in all senses of the word#and then you have rose... who's role is clearly the sidekick#she's the one who's supposed to protect lissa and give up her entire life for her#she is the best friend of someone incredibly special even in the moroi world#and yet? the books are all about her and her struggles#we still get a lot of lissa because of rose's bond with her but in the end?#it's rose who we follow and root for an fall in love with#we like lissa BECAUSE of rose... BECAUSE rose loves her so much#rose isn't the usual protagonist we're used to#lissa is#and yet rose is the perfect character to focus on#anywaYS i have a lot more thoughts but no one is reading this anyways lol#starting blood promise rn#i love this book series sm
