The way people's standards have fallen sharply with how art has fallen into mediocre content intent to absorb and keep you complacent. Also amazing how hype really lulls people into anything. I truly think i'm not a media person period especially since nowadays copaganda literally has evolved to be considered a requirement in any show and they are centered/protected if not given emotional weight and purpose whereas unless the show was a literally in a precinct this wouldnt be happening.

#yes this has always been an issue but its so freaking blatant and unsubtle #and i dont care for copaganda has always been here yes it has and now its literally freaking everywhere and instead of #admitting stories using authorities or structured around it was simply used as a storytelling tool #and not to have an animated character tell the audience that blues live matter and the badge is the mask #remember when it was more common that cops were dispensable in movies and that includes the military too #now every show even a fucking spidey film has cops granted marvel was on the cops thing super early to combat the white anxiety #around having a titular character also be a character of color #literally cant buy Gwen and Miles together period and the way her dad was given an out #bcse again black ppl in positions of auhority upholding yt values is the only way they can be trusted
