You know what we realised we hadn't made yet? Proper character sheets! So we quickly slapped these together
(The original attempt at this post got recovered so here's the rest!)
There are two Foot Clans, the original, run by Tang Shen, and the fake, run by Shredder after he and his followers were cast out
The Caseys are twins! Kay and Cee! They stayed separated for a while, Cee kinda got caught up in the wrong crowd and Kay didn't want to deal with any of that shit. Cee feels bad, and even after she ditches she doesn't reuinite with her brother for a long time. She thought he never wanted to see her again.
The Krang are a hivemind, one mind many bodies
April is half Krang, and it shows. She's a wild child and hates her dad/s so fucking much, mostly because to them she's only a failed experiment, discarded like the ooze they throw out onto the street to see what would happen for a lack of anything more interesting to do with it. April herself is also a baby hivemind, but she has no interest in making more bodies to inhabit to extend her lifespan
Other characters that make frequent appearances are Miwa/Karai, Shinigami, Timothy, Draxum, Big Mama, Mondo, and Mona.
We'll also be seeing Usagi (Miyamoto) in season 2, but that is a WHOLE different story arc, following the adult turtles as they deal with time travel and being new parents (if they weren't already parents. Looking at Donnie here. Not that we don't fucking adore Victoria Shelley Hamato, the little badly timed whoopsie baby)

Sorry if this was already answered but what’s their turtle species?
This hasn't been asked before actually!
Lee is a spotted turtle

Angie and Donnie are pink belly sideneck turtles

And Raph is super unique, his morph is pretty rare, a white mississippi map turtle!

Note, its not albinism, its a super hypo morph, so two hypo genes, one from each parent, which is not something you're guaranteed to get (its a 1 in 3 chance per clutch, if we're going by what we know of super morphs in snake breeding) and there's only one breeder making this morph, so Splinter reeeeaaaallly wanted the pink little turtle, but if this is how he's gonna occupy his time in hiding and distract himself from things he doesn't wanna think about then OBVIOUSLY he's gonna get the cool looking pink turtle
(Yes our definition of pink is a little loose with the first two, but their designs will all have actual pink, as you can tell when comparing Lee's colour pallete to the colours of spotted turtles)

6, 12, 30, 31, 49, 50 and 79 for the ask game?

6. Is there a battle nexus? Is it a respected facility or operated by criminals?
Yes there is a battle nexus! In terms of respectability and the legality its a little iffy. The battle nexus is an underground yokai fighting ring, run by Big Mama and connected to her hotel chain. The issue is that its a yokai owned, run, and visited business, and yokai societies that are so closely connected to human society, like those in New York, aren't able to be closely organized enough to have things like "laws", only "rules", and there's no one to enforce those rules really, people only follow them for the sake of self preservation (exposing the yokai world to humans would royally fuck them over)
But back to the facility itself. Mama does technically do things "ethically", as long as you thoroughly read your contract with her before signing. There is no way to get out of the contract once its signed though (poor Hueso, he'a a prime example of this. He isn't involved in the fighting ring but still, he knows better than most how much a Big Mama contract can ruin your life). The fighting itself is brutal, the only limitation is that you can't kill (Mama would lose so many fighters and potential signees if she allowed that), its an absolute bloodbath in there. Aside from the terrifying fighting, painful and potentially permanently disabling injuries, and the inescapable contract though, the life of a battle nexus fighter is pretty great, Big Mama knows how to make her show ponies want to prance, y'know? They all get private rooms in her hotel chain (unless they try to escape), and a large amount of luxuries (unless they try to hurt staff or guests), and they can live pretty good lives (unless you hurt one of her children. That is the only way you'll escape a contract early. Some have purposefully chosen to go this way though.)
12. What is the main villain's motivation?
The Krang want to enslave the planet and use its residents and its resources to make more bodies for themselves! They're a hivemind (just one mind, last hivemind of the species, entirely by choice on their part) who are practically immortal as long as they keep getting new bodies, and having a lot of them makes enslaving planets much easier (they don't like to keep the bodies of those they've enslaved, too cramped, and its been proven that some species can escape and cause problems). They've learned in the past that a loud hostile takeover (especially without adequate numbers) can cause annoyances like "rebellions", and one species in particular, the Salamanderians, even managed to build a resistance to their control and force them off the planet, so yeah, slow and subtle. And the easiest way to do that is find the planets most compatible mind, one that could work as a conduit, if they can get into this mind and spread through the population through them, takeover is a piece of cake.
It just so happens that the Hamato family line are the last yokai-human compatible link, even witches (yokai-human hybrids, not at all uncommon) aren't good enough, it has to be a Hamato. And unknown to anyone who isn't from the Bad End timeline, the perfect Hamato is Angie (Michelangelo)
30. Is there a Venus?/31. Is there a Jennika?
Yes! Two of a trio! Venus, Jennika, and Lita, are the only survivors of the Bad End timeline, and they're the kids of Lee (and our OC Julie), Raph (and Mona Lisa), and Angie! They, along with Usagi, are at the core of the chaos in season 2, where the present Hamato family have to prove to the Time Court that they will properly take in the future children and bind them to their timeline (not an easy thing for Angie, as zeir daughter is.....well there's a few major ethical dilemmas with her creation)
49. Are the turtles the same species?/50. Are the turtles the same age?
Nope and nope!
Lee is the oldest, 15 in the prologue and 23 in season 2, and she's a spotted turtle.
Angie and Donnie, the twins, are next, 14 in the prologue and 22 in season 2, Angie being the older twin and Donnie being the younger twin, they're pink bellied sideneck turtles!
And Raph is the baby, 13 in the prologue and 21 in season 2, they're a white morph Mississippi map turtle!
78. Tell us something you want to share about your au/iteration!
Hard to think of one specific thing, but we really wanna emphasize the farmhouse arc! Sooooo many big things happen in this arc, including the mutation of one character, the introduction of a certain baby girl, the end of the coma arc + recovery from said comas, and the introduction of the yokai ocean cave village! So many events to talk about, it makes it hard to talk about the events themselves!

Got asked about the relationships between the individual siblings and it became a massive wall of text so we're putting it here in its own post with a read more to save everyone's dashes! Enjoy!
Lee + Angie: Angie is kinda a major know-it-all, because thanks to zeir powers they actually do know pretty much everything, so even though the siblings all very much respect Lee and follow her instructions closely, Angie has a habit of making decisions while mentally ten steps ahead of the team and not informing them of those decisions, the unpredictability is a pain and it gets on Lee's nerves big time, she tries to trust her little sibling, she really does, she knows zey often are actually right, but without being let in on where zey're at she can't make any proper plans so she tends to have Angie on a bit of a tight leash on the field (which Angie obviously has a problem with). At home though, Lee is incredibly tolerant of Angie's bullshit, maybe a little too tolerant, but she doesn't want to be a parent to her siblings and she knows Angie needs to have time to let loose and be annoying, there will be NO coming to her to complain about Angie bugging them or blowing something up unless its actually something really important. Because of this, she tends to get dragged into zeir nonsense the most (Donnie is always down to cause chaos but they're also often reluctant to leave xeir lab), sometimes she has fun with it, sometimes it gets so bad she needs to actually put her foot down, depends on the day and the shenanigans.
Lee + Donnie: Donnie has a pretty easy time following Lee's instructions on the field, xey rarely see a reason to rebel or go off course, and Lee trusts them to stick to the plan just as much if not more than she trusts Raph to, with one caveat; Donnie can get impatient. Really impatient. Jump in impulsively impatient. She can't expect them to sit and wait for the right moment, which is a little ironic considering Donnie is the one most interested in information gathering, which y’know, often involves waiting patiently for the right moment. At home, their relationship is kinda considered the most distant, but not for a lack of trying. Lee tries her best to be super supportive of xeir hobby, even if it creeps her out and she gets a little queasy seeing the stuff in Donnie's lab, she tries to help out by making sure the lab is always properly stocked with sanitary materials, but can't handle much of the place beyond that. Donnie also tries to spend time relaxing with Lee, but they can't sit still for long enough to make it work, and eventually xey have to give in and go write down whatever idea has popped into their mind and blast music to stay sane. In the end, they just can't click properly, and aside from occasionally checking in with each other to make sure there's not an accidental one-sided fight going on (sometimes when one of them is mad enough to give the silent treatment, the other wont notice because they rarely hang out, so its good to double check), they're content to leave it at that.
Lee + Raph: These two actually have a surprisingly equal relationship on the field, Lee is always a bit of a lazy butt before missions, reluctant to go while Raph is itching to go, so Raph is always the one that ends up dragging her along until she properly gets into leader mode. On the other hand, while Raph is close behind her as the second most determined member of the team and always follows instructions, that'll only last if the mission stays relevant to their goal of finding Splinter. If he decides the mission is a waste of time, she'll either get more aggressive in the fight (if their opponent is fighting all of them and being somewhat of a threat) or ditch entirely (if their opponent/job isn't a threat worth wasting time on). They work together well, and they have a silent agreement to keep reigning each other in and not let the other get away with being dumb about something, because regardless of how serious they are when its go time they still have plenty of stupid and stubborn moments. At home these two are very quiet, Raph took Splinter's disappearance the hardest, withdrawing the most from the group, but even during the rough patch where the four of them felt like strangers to each other Lee would always find time to sit down with him. They didn't talk back then, they just sat together, Lee reading comics and Raph playing video games, both of them trying to simultaneously escape from the world and miss their father. When the four of them started working on fixing things again, Lee and Raph would awkwardly try to share their new hobbies, Raph didn't take to the comics and Lee didn't take to the games, but Raph did end up liking the stargazing, and Lee enjoyed gardening (though her plants of choice tended to be easier to take care of than Raph's ambitious little garden), they end up being really close in their later teenage years.
Angie + Donnie: The twins! The dynamic duo! The chaos makers! They don't often work on their own together, Lee likes to keep the team together and avoids letting anyone go off on a mission on their own, but on the rare occasion that Donnie and Angie do find themselves on their own duo mission, communication is almost silent in every sense, they know each other inside and out and don't even need to look at each other to be in sync, extending their powers in their respective unique ways and connecting the dots of information together, and then from there its CHAOS, a lot of BOOM from Angie while Donnie slinks around and does what needs to be done from the shadows, they're a mess, and they do a lot of damage (not a good thing for four ninjas in hiding), but they are very much able to get the job done well. At home, they drag each other into their respective projects, Donnie isn't great with mechanics and Angie isn't interested in biology, but mad scientists gotta stick together, y’know? They also tend to do pranks together, but the family's rough patch kinda dulled that playfulness a little bit, so pranks from the pair became a less common thing. During the rough patch, they were still considered close, but they also started to isolate themselves more. In a way it was a little good for them, they needed some space to grow and become their own people, but they lost a lot to that time, and lost even more a year later when Angie ran off and didn't come back for almost six months.
Angie + Raph: Angie and Raph......do not get along fantastically. Lee doesn't often make them work closely together in the field, its better for everyone if Raph is given a space away from them. If they're forced to be on a mission alone together, they'll get the job done, but Raph isn't exactly working with Angie, its more like she goes her own way without a word and expects Angie to follow. It's hard to say what's worse, when Angie does the mission perfectly, or when Angie messes up. Angie can be a lot, even when zey were little, and its in their nature to try and get on people's nerves, and Raph's temper doesn't take it very well. As kids it was just classic sibling annoyance, but when their powers came in Angie got even worse, and Donnie and Lee got stuck with keeping Raph and Angie's relationship as steady as possible. The relationship between Raph and Angie is a major conflict, and their biggest clash happens not long before the timeskip drops us off, so feel free to snoop around that one because its a whole thing. They will work through their issues, don't worry, they're not doomed to hate each other forever, their relationship just had to get worse before it could get better.
Raph + Donnie: Unlike with Angie, Raph actually gets along with Donnie pretty well. Raph's determination to get through a proper mission and Donnie's low tolerance for patience results in quick, efficient missions. They might not do as many non-Splinter related missions as Lee would like when left to their own devices, but oftentimes they know if a mission will be fruitful long before they have to make direct contact with the enemy, and Donnie is often fine with ditching with Raph for their paired missions. As long as nothing catches Donnie's attention, they're a great stealth team. At home, they actually end up being forced to socialise by being in the same friend group, with Tim, Kay, and April, they're the ones most likely to sneak out together and get into trouble, but for once its the normal teenager kind. Kinda. Kay likes street racing and a lot of shenanigans can come with that. They're the ones most likely to get pent up from being inside for too long, and yet they cope by staying home and avoiding people, so its good for them to force each other to get out of the house every now and then.

Thinking about Raph and Mona again because we love them
Mona's race, the Salamanderians, are all inherently psychic, and they form permanent Connections with their partners that, socially, they consider the biggest indicator of a serious relationship. Even marriages are nothing compared to it. The Connections happen on their own, and there is no one timeline for them, so some form days after meeting, some form years later, and some never form even when all parties involved want them to. That's why they don't consider marriage (binding contracts to share assets, not too different from Earth Western marriage, just with no inherent requirement for romance or exclusivity) a big deal, the courting period is very short, only long enough for all parties to try things out and agree that they get along and would want to share their lives, and then they get married and if a Connection forms it will and if it doesn't then it doesn't. If a Connection forms before even the courting period starts then that immediately becomes a fully fledged life bond
So how does this affect Raph? Well, she meets Mona while both of them are traveling through the astral plane. They hit it off pretty quickly, and spend a lot of time together projected simply because its safer, even after having met in the physical world. Because of this, the lines that separate them as individuals are already a little blurred. They're used to sensing each other, its not odd to have lingering effects even when not projecting, and Mona wasn't exactly expecting to Connect with a non-Salamanderian (its been known to happen, but its not common), so neither of them even realise they'd Connected until Mona leaves the range of the Connection (which isn't something that can happen easily. If both parties were on opposite sides of the same planet they wouldn't be anywhere close to the limit)
The sudden emptiness that fills Raph terrifies him, all she can tell is its related to Mona somehow, and frantic texting ensues, which is a problem because it takes time for the signals to arrive (the freakout starts when there is a 20 minute delay, and Mona is traveling fast so that delay gets longer and longer), and Raph spends the next 36 hours or so freaking out as they sloooowly figure out what's going on, and then freaking out even more when Mona finally realises what happened and explains, because while he's not against it at all (like. At all. No opposition whatsoever. Excitement comes later.) she would have liked to know that they were bonded for life/alien married to their gf! That would have been very nice information to know thank you!
And you know what doesn't help Raph's stress? Two comatose big sisters! This timing is very inconvenient! (And, unknown to everyone but Donnie, a certain Victoria Shelley Hamato is a little bundle of cells forming in a tube rn)

39, 52, 62 and 75 (Leo) for ask game :)
39. Is there a Karai/Miwa?
Yes! She grew up with the name Karai, but when her real name, Hamato Miwa, and everything that came with, was revealed to her when she was 10 she was quick to start training and eventually join her mother! She still largely goes by Karai, because names (especially Hamato names) are fiercely guarded in the Foot Clan. Its why Splinter went by Splinter long before his mutation.
We've talked about Miwa a bit before, but lets drop a new fact! She didn't take the reveal of her younger siblings well at first. She understood that she couldn't be with her father, and that Shredder is the reason their family is separated the way it is, but she kinda hated her little siblings for having the opportunity to grow up with at least one of their parents. She hadn't even known Tang Shen was her mother until her name was revealed to her, she was raised by a family friend. And yet, here her little siblings were, knowing their names and one of their parents their whole life!
When Splinter was kidnapped and communications with the other Hamatos had to start happening through her instead of her mother's contacts, she was not happy about it. Of course, she still helped, she made sure Shinigami gave them everything they needed and she kept them safe because despite everything, they're her family, and family is so so important to her. It took a while for them to grow on her, and for her to fully internalise the fact that they didn't really have a choice either. They might have known their names and their father, but they didn't know their family's history, and they'd been forced to stay isolated their whole lives. In the end, that anger did finally, rightfully, become entirely directed at the Shredder. For better or for worse.
52. Is Donnie only knowledgeable with technology? If not, what else are they interested in?
Actually, xey have zero interest in technology! Tech (and mechanics) has always been Angie's thing. Donnie's field of interest and expertise is biology and chemistry! Our very own doctor Frankenstein likes to reassemble and reanimate, often resulting in whatever roadkill project xey've gotten their hands on wreaking havoc across their lair. Their creations are xeir babies, and they care a lot about them and their wellbeing, even if most of them have to be let free eventually (for the family's sanity. They can't keep that many pets.)
62. What is Casey and Raph's relationship?
We have two Caseys! The twins, Kay, and Cee. We'll go over both because why not?
Kay is the twin they meet first, he beat up come guys who was messing with one of Donnie's creations and Donnie, who uses his animals for surveillance and information gathering, was grateful and wanted to thank him. From there, Kay met the rest of the family, and is the closest to Raph and Donnie.
Kay often drags the two youngest turtles out of the house for stuff, most of the time its chaos like brawls or street racing. The friend group consists of Raph, Donnie, Kay, April, and Tim. Kay and Raph don't often get out on their own without the others, but when they do its usually because Raph is having a hard time dealing with her siblings, getting riled up from the close proximity and Angie's....everything. These outings for just the two of them usually end up being a lot calmer than when its the whole squad, less running from the cops and more just finding a place to get away and breathe.
As for Cee, she comes into things later. It takes a while for Raph especially to meet her, because Kay is avoiding her and she ends up staying with Draxum, who owns the apartment complex Angie runs off to, and Raph is suuuuper avoiding Angie at that point.
But when they do meet they have a bit of a rough start, Raph takes Kay's side and isn't a big fan of her. There's a lot of scowling and avoidance, and attempts at talking always end in a fight.
But, April ends up befriending her, and so Raph and Cee end up seeing each other a lot. It takes some time, and Raph stays pissed at her for what she did, but they eventually become friends, and Raph ends up being the one to push through both twin's stubbornness and make Cee own up for her bullshit by actually facing Kay and apologise
75. Tell us a fun fact about Leo's species?
By species you mean her being a spotted turtle? Well, they're a small semiaquatic species of turtle, the only (extant but even when including extinct species they might be alone) species in their genus, Clemmys. Also, despite spending most of their time in the water, they're actually not very strong swimmers
If we're including what Lee is now though? The turtles are very unique
A long time ago, all humans could use magic just like the yokai, but then the witch hunts happened and generations of magic users were lost, and no one was being taught magic anymore so humans started to lose access to their magic altogether. The Hamatos are the only human magic users left. And then the turtles mutated, and genetically they are Hamatos and part human, but not really. They're also nothing like yokai, as yokai are born the way they are. So they're not human, not witch, not yokai. They're mutants, and other mutants do exist because of the Krang's lack of care about what happens to their mutagen, but the other mutants can't use magic, being former humans (or animals). The turtles are something different, which is pretty cool too

Lets dip a little into the lore of yokai, magic, and the Hamato family in this world, shall we?
So we've got yokai, who inherently have magic, and witches, half yokai half human shapeshifters with incredibly powerful magic, and humans, who have.....no magic.
Magical humans used to be much more common, but when magic-less humans became the majority things like "witch" hunts and the like became an issue (during those times, actual witches tended to stick to integrating into yokai society instead of human society, it was too risky otherwise. Magical humans didn't have that option). Eventually all but one family line died off.
This last line of magical humans is the Hamatos.
The thing about human magic, or Hamato magic as its referred to now, is that its different from yokai and witch magic. Yokai and witches use spells, and witches on top of that can put their magic into things, like potions and talismans (and shift between their yokai and human forms, of course). Hamatos can use spells, but they also have access to gifts that are unique to the user and very powerful.
Hamato Yoshi, Splinter, never unlocked his powers. He struggled with it, and by the time he was at an age where the powers were likely to manifest the most easily he'd lost his parents. His gift is permanently locked away, we'll never see it manifest.
Similarly, Hamato Miwa never got the chance to fully manifest her powers, though since she had access to magical training there is still a chance for her Hamato magic to be unlocked.
Lee's gift is incredibly powerful, maybe in part because she's the eldest living Hamato who has full access to their powers. The ability to touch people's souls, to grab them, cut them, poison them, sever them, is nothing to take lightly. Its very difficult to make her power anything but deadly, the ability often corrupting her victim's souls and dissolving them into nothing. Her training options are limited, and in the few avenues she does have for training, managing her power's lethality is so incredibly draining that it can do serious damage to her. She'll grow into controlling it eventually, maybe even bring less dangerous aspects of it to light in time, but until she has enough motivation to go through with the training she barely uses her power.
Angie's power is incredibly suited to zem. Curiosity and a need to figure out what makes people tick giving them a natural affinity for telepathy. A little too natural. Angie never bothered to turn the power off, and part of zeir hyperactivity turned inwards to filter through all the information. They can sense people, hear their thoughts, and dig deep into people's minds so easily that oftentimes its accidental. It leads to zem often being far ahead of everyone else in terms of, well, literally everything. They know everything, and don't bother to update people on where zey're at, making zem an incredibly knowledgeable wildcard. Of course, this power is a massive violation of privacy, and zey won't be free of the consequences of that forever.
Donnie's gift is the most physical, and very similar to Angie's in a way. While Angie has open access to people's minds, Donnie can openly feel the world. Xey can feel the shape of a building inside and out from several blocks away, and every gear ticking in a clock inside it. The power requires some focus, and they aren't the best at utilising it under pressure, but its incredible all the same. Later on this power will manifest into manipulating the world xey can feel as well, though only close range.
Raph's power, while certainly nothing compared to the raw energy of Lee's, is the one that is used to its fullest degree with masterful precision and control. Astral projection doesn't seem like it can do much, but Raph was patient and creative with it, and she gains quite a few skills. Astral travel obviously, as well as some dream walking (not that they use that one often, they deal with enough privacy violations from Angie to know better), and there's an instinctual understanding of how reality is built that comes with astral travel that is very helpful for things like teleportation magic, which Raph obviously made use of. This power will eventually grow to be visible in the material world as well, meaning Raph could choose to become visible on the material plane from the astral one. And, though they can't do anything like Donnie, he can eventually choose to warp reality in relation to himself, aka flight. It won't be an easy skill to develop, but they can already fly when astral projecting so it only a matter of figuring out how to translate what they instinctually know of reality in the astral plane into the material plane's equivalent.

1. TIMOTHY! Who does Timothy meet first? Why are they crawling around in goverment files?
These are two different questions actually!
To the first, the first person Tim meets is Raph, they met while gaming online and Raph is kinda okay with the guy, but his eagerness to help gets on Raphs nerves a lot so they're not VERY close.
To the second, the person Tim found crawling around government files, Donnie, was looking for hints on whether or not the government was involved in their whole *gestures* situation at all. Unfortunately, hacking is not Donnie's field of expertise and xey were leaving some very obvious tracks that would have gotten them into some deep shit, so Tim (who was at the devil's sacrament because he's just a curious guy who likes to snoop) helped cover xeir tracks, nothing wrong with being helpful!

Hello! We tried to go to sleep last night by thinking up our own tmnt iteration, and we did fall asleep so technically it worked, but we underestimated how much our brain can come up with in a short period of time and now we have an AU so developed that we can't write it all down in one go....so.......
PLEASE ASK US QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR LOST IN THE PINK MIST AU
Please help us get all this out of our brain and into at least word form (art form will be slow going as we recover from trying to hand write way too much lore)! Ask us any question you can think of! This iteration is very different from the canon iterations (but also some things are mixed and matched in, so your mileage with that statement may vary) so there's a lot of changes and things to clarify!
For actually explained lore check out the tag #the pinkest of lore, and for unexplained but slightly implied lore memes check out #no context only pink! Sorry for the lack of tag links, we only have mobile to work with!
