Steve, closing his eyes: “just… don’t break my heart, okay? I don’t think I’d be able to recover if it were you to do it. I’ve had my heart broken so many times, but I’m confident that you could shatter my life irreparably.”

Eddie, leaning in and kissing Steve’s forehead before gently wiping a stray tear away with his thumb: “Babydoll, I wasn’t kidding when I told you that I am yours forever.”

Steve, looking up at Eddie, not even trying to hide the fact that he’s crying: “that’s all I’m asking for.”
